For the past 6 months i have been noticing that the quality of gasoline sold at the gas stations vary from week to week irrespective of brand (shell, weis, speedway, valero, wawa, etc., ) in terms of mileage variation. I drive a 2005 honda accord, ex v6 same route and distance every day with more or less similar traffic conditions. I am seeing a difference of appx. 3 to 4 miles/gallon reduction. I have replaced air filter, spark plugs, ignition coil. Car is in perfect condition. What surprises me is from fill to fill there is a very big difference in gas mileage. I am experiencing the same on my 2010 honda odyssey ex-l as well. I think the quality of gasoline sold at the gas stations is varying from one tanker supply to another. I fill up my accord with 87 octane and odyssey with 89 octane as recommended by the manufacturer. Please investigate the fuel quality and it's calorific value to see if they are yielding the correct burn values. This has been going on for the past 8 to 10 months. Thank you.
