Speedometer, rpm gauge, fuel gauge, and temperature gauge give false readings. Speedometer is the most important and gets stuck on different mph randomly. Currently it will not go above 20 mph. Research online suggest that the instrument cluster has 6 motors and one or more have failed. I called gm before the bankruptcy and they noted this had happened on some of their other makes and they were aware of complaints concerning the buick rendezvous, but there were not enough complaints to warrant a recall.
I just received an email pertaining to this campaign notice: nhtsa campaign id number : 10v074subject : instrument panel fuel gaugethe infiniti fx models are affected with this notice.i have noticed that my fuel gauge empty light will come on, even if there is fuel still in the tank.
After having a fuel pump replaced for slow starting, our 2000 jeep grand cherokee began suddenly accellerating for no reason or pattern (but mostly at startup).we took the auto to the local jeep delership in brigham --- where it is now.we told them we were concerned about saftey because of the news coverage of a similar jeep unexpectadly accellerating, jumping a curb and hitting 3 people in slc.in looking at the internet, we found severalsimlar saftey complaints and that jeep(chrysler/demler) has determined thereis not enough of a pattern to address the issue.i can easily see how this problem could have severe and dire results and should be investigated

I was driving down route 130 and the car just died so it was towed april 2008 and the fuel pump went in the car which cost 800.00on july 6,2008 i was on my was to ewing twsp and the car died again it was towed and the fuel pump went again in the car.
My husband purchased a used 2001 pontiac bonneville from mcdonald pontiac in saginaw, michigan.we have had repeated problems involving the transmission, fuel pressure sensor, and now the paint is bubbling on the hood.we believe our car should be declared a lemon and another vehicle be supplied.
Fuel issue. Fli sensor replaced 2x. Still a fuel issue. Can get up to 27mpg down to 7 mpg. Dealership is not cooperating!says there is nothing more than they can do!they said because they cannot verify it & the fuel issue is intermittent, theycannot & will not do anything more.truck still under original warranty & stillat dealership.do not know what to do!!
We have a 2001 chevy 2500 hd truck and have also had issues with a faulty fuel gauge where it goes from showing the fuel level to dropping down and the "low fuel" sensor showing.we also have the gas pedal that sticks.several of our friends have owned chevys at some point and have had similar issues.these should definitely be recalled.we have lived with these issues for a couple of years.we shouldn't have to pay several hundred dollars to repair issues that several chevy owners are all experiencing.
