2012 ford fusion vin [xxx] (the vehicle vin section of this complaint would not allow any entry so i have entered it here). This vehicle's vin is on nhtsa and ford recall lists for defective passenger frontal airbag:ford recall number 9s01, nhtsa recall number 19v001.i have asked my ford dealer to replace this defective airbag several times but they keep telling me they do not find it on their recall list.i am worried abut my safety and the safety of my passengers if this defective airbag is not replaced.my ford dealer is not helping.what can i do?information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I own a 2008 ford gt500 i have been having issues with the passenger side air bag sensor not sending the proper signal to activate the airbag for deployment i contacted the ford motor company to discuss having them meet a known recall with this airbag system there was a repair made in 2010 to the unit how ever the problem continues to be an issue after the initial request to correct the known problem the supervisor i spoke with stated fords final decision would be that they knew the problem existed but were only required to initiate a repair once and even though the issue with the passenger side air bag still existed they were not obligated and would not make the repair or continue to discuss correcting the issue i requested to speak with supervisors superior an were refused any further answers or help and was then hung up on the known airbag issue increases the chance of neck injuries during deployment of the airbag should the passenger side air bag deploy at all obviously ford motor company has no concern for continuing to put people's lives in danger by refusing to repair a known issue with its product.

I was in a accident on august 21, 2014. Two or more deer's ran out in front of my 2002 ford explorer and i ran off the road hitting a pole. It crushed the whole front end and my airbag never deployed. My truck is a total loss and i did have on my seat belt but the airbag should of deployed.

Every time i ask for, recalls look up by vinit goes to a screen that says, internet explorer cannot display the web page. I am trying to find out if there is a recall on my vehicle for the airbags, i have a 2010 ford escape.

The front passenger airbags have been determined to be faulty, and a recall was issued may 31, 2017. In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the front air bags, the psan inflators may rupture due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling. I live in virginia, a climate known to be extremely humid, with hot summer seasons and winters with temperatures below freezing; this climate produces the worst failure rate in the psan inflators. The recall was issued 144 days ago and no remedy is available to me as of today; there is no definite date as to when any remedy will be available to me.

Ford still does not have a solution to my airbag recall and it has been a year from being notified.

I own a 2013 ford mustang.my vehicle apparently has an urgent passenger side airbag recall.i receive deceptive brochures from ford with instructions on how to fix my vehicle.on multiple occasions i have received mail stating i can call my local dealer and get a loaner vehicle while they execute the repair.when i call the dealer i'm instructed that they do not offer loaner vehicles nor do they actually even schedule the repair.i have to wait for the dealer to work me in to their schedule on any given day.clearly, my life-threatening emergency recall is not urgent for the local dealer.today, i received a brochure stating that i am now eligible for a free mobile recall repair.i was thrilled to receive the brochure, but upon calling the scheduling center i learned that the four nearest dealers to me do not actually offer the service.while the agent was very polite and helpful, the fact is my life-threatening recall is simply not a priority.it is deceptive to state for ford to claim they are providing services that they do not actually provide.it is also deceptive to present the recall as an urgent matter but not even allow folks to schedule their appointment.i think it's reasonable to try and avoid sitting at a dealership for half-a-day right now as my state is still in a covid lockdown.the brochure is from ford.i made my call to ford at 2:45pm est (approximately) on aug 10th.note - i could not select model type - mustang in the form make/model dropdown.thanks!

Electrical problems on my 97 ford expedition lights flashing radio on and off by itself.

The electronic power assisted steering (dpas) system on my 2012 ford focus has failed. The vehicle is un-drivable absent extreme force. Emergency maneuvers are out of the question. The vehicle is utterly unsafe to operate. Restarting the vehicle and resetting the ecu have no effect.

2012 f50 64000 miles. Power assist steering fault intermittently comes on and steering the truck is very difficult

Death wobble - after passing over a bridge joint my truck began to shake uncontrollably until i was able slow down to about 45 mph. This happened 4 more times over the next 30 miles.

I was leaving school and put my car in reverse, a chime came on and a message was shown saying power steering assist fault. I put it back in park and turned it off and back on again and drove straight home. This just happened and by reading the comments i am terrified to drive my car anymore, even to the shop. I do not make enough money to pay for the maintenance. This is definitely a safety hazard and needs to be addressed right away. This sounds to me like it needs to be a recall!!! if it happens while i'm driving i could be liable to hit something or someone else and my car be damaged. I feel a recall is very necessary!

My f250 has a front end problem. When i hit a rough spot in the road, the front end shakes violently. I've had it in 3 times and they haven't fixed it.

Maybe this doesnt qualify but i wanted to try and share my experience to help potentially save others. I recently rented an rv from cruise america and the rv they rented me had a completely bald right front tire with steel belts showing through the rubber. It was by no measure road safe and should have never been allowed to leave the lot. I unfortunately did not notice it before driving off. Only after driving hundred of miles did i notice how bad it was. At any point it could have failed and caused harm to me, my family, other motorists or private/public property. When i noticed and called for it to be replaced the roadside assistance guy was surprised it hadnt failed and said it would have at any moment. When i advised cruise america about this, the local office (goldsby/norman, ok) did nothing. I have written their corporate public relations department three times with no response. Their lack of any response seems to suggest to me a complete disregard for safety and reckless culture and business practices. My fear is that this is too common a practice for them and eventually someone is going to be gravely injured or killed. I have a copy of the roadside assistance report but unfortunately no pictures, but i know the repair guy took several, his info is on the form.

Ford escape hybrid: the car was driven on the freeway at 68 miles per hour speed, with three passengers, and suddenly a "click sound" been heard and the steeringwas "locked". When the steering got locked (un-movable), the breaks were hard to push, and applied. But luckily emergency lights been put on, and the vehicle breaks were press hard, and the vehicle was parked in the emergency lane on the freeway. After that, the steering was locked down and never moved. Took the car to mechanic and they referred to ford, since they have re-call on the similar issue. Ford declined any recall, and quoted for $3200 to fix the car. This part is not available from any other manufacture besides ford itself. The failure could have caused a deadly accident, taking everyone lives who were sitting in the car as well as other vehicles on the road.

Our 2010 ford fusion suddenly and unexpectedly lost its power steering resulting in my wife losing control while driving and going off road. There were no physical damages to car or occupants. We had to have car towed to ford dealer. At the time of the incident the power assist fault warning indicatpr came on.they had to replace the steering gear and do an alignment.the cost was $1930. I have seen reports of this with 2010 fusions reported on the internet.

I own a 2013 ford fusion.power steering unit has failed for a second time.first event occurred at 36,360 miles.dealership "re-booted" the pcm, problem solved.yesterday, 7/21/2016, power steering unit failed again.dealership responded that they couldn't "re-boot" it this time and an entire rack was "probably" what it would take to repair it this time, ($1500).this problem causes the steering to be extremely hard steering.my wife could never drive it.i like the car, but this problem is unacceptable.

2012 ford focus"electric steering control"went out, could not turn steering wheel.luckily i was in my driveway leaving to run errands when this happened. Googled to find out this has been going on since 2011. Ford has been notified twice by nhtsa and article in new york times dated12/24/15 and yetfordignores the problem. They had recalls on other fords-fusion, or any vehicle using new electric steering system but not the focus.found out on line the charge for correcting problem at $1700.00.my ford focus was under 60000 miles and 2 months past 5 years , so no warranty for steering problem which should have been included in recall.got vehicle to ford and cost to repair $1700.00, have them bring car home without correcting problem. I cannot afford this.

Our new (6,200 miles) ford fusion hybrid experienced total power steering failure. The steering wheel could not be turned. Fortunately, we were getting ready to start a trip from home when this happened. Had we been on the interstate and travelling at highway speeds, we could have been killed due to inability to steer.it has been fixed but there is no assurance that it will not happen again. The internet has similar stories from others along with several class action suits.

This concerns myford explorer 4dr xlt fwd.on 4/10/2019, upon starting the car, i received a message on my dash stating there was a problem with my power steering.the steering wheel was "frozen" in place - it would not move.i turned off the ignition and re-started the car and the message did not re-appear and the steering seemed to work as usual.the same thing happened a few days earlier when my wife started the car.that is, she received the message on the dash, found the steering wheel frozen, and upon turning off the ignition and re-starting the car. It seemed to work fine. However, since it happened a second time, i became concerned since such a failure of the power steering while driving would be disastrous. We took the car to the ford dealer who has the electronic power steering replaced at a cost to me of $1,915.18.this car has approximately 79,000 miles on it.we bought it new and have always taken excellent care of the car - having it serviced regularly and keeping it well maintained. We learned that this has been a recurring problem, particularly with ford explorers and f-150's. We believe this is a manufacturer's defect and we should not have to pay such an significant amount of money to have it corrected.

I was at the school to pick up my kids,i turn on my ford explorer 2002 xlt v6 4.0 to drive and then the shift lever broke on neutral position, that was dangerous because, how will i park my car? if it happened on a downhill, how are we going to park it.is that possible to make a recall a ford company to fix the car.

The power steering in my vehicle is shutting off intermittently. My car has an electric steering system. The diagnosis of the issue is the electrical connection between the rack and pinions. This causes the car to loos power steering. The power steering comes back after the car is turned off and turned back on. This could be very dangerous in a driving scenario. I mainly do highway driving at high speeds and the steering locking up could be a major issue. Luckily i was strong enough to steer the car to safety and not cause any issues.

The power steering failed and my car became extremely difficultto steer.after sitting for several days it worked properly, but then failed again.on 2-9-16 autonation ford, st petersburg fl,replaced the steering column at a cost to me of $1306.27.this automobile is a 2009 mercury mariner vin [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Steering shaft sheared off completly causing loss of control and crash into parked cars 25 mph or lesscenter of steering shaft metal was deformed with pockets of slag or craters. Steering shaft was not 1 clean shaft but had numerous defects in core of shaft. Accident was on jan. 1 2013 10:00pm spring valley, ca.. Chp responded. Vehicle supposedly repaired by shop. April 5th 2014 aprox.6:00pm i lost steering on interstate 15 ca.,steering shaft sheared off again resulting in4 car accident and injury. Chp respondedblamed me for accident, front suspension onthe ground. My truck went to tow storage yard where i ended up selling it being unableto pay fees. I sent text once before with noresponse. Car magazine even describedproblem in early 2014 about certain ford f- series trucks could experiance this problem.if you lose your steering on any vehicle iconsider that may be serious safty issue. My truck is 2002 ford f250 superduty 7.3 deisel 4wd 4dr

While making turns either at slow speeds or at a complete stop, the steering makes popping sounds. Steering wheel also locks for half a second. Took vehicle to a shop and was advised it was the rack and pinion on the front right tire area. The vehicle is a 2016 and has 41k miles. This issue began manifesting approximately two weeks prior. Estimated cost to repair is $2500. According to vehicle forums this is a common issue with this vehicle make and model.

Date: 08/06/2015ford escape 2005. My rear right wheel well rusting off as well as my left side now. False advertising of tough made model vehicle of ford. I really like my vehicle because it's best fix for me and my children (including a disabled child ) as a single parent.now i'm unable to drive it to work 27 mile away. There nothing but bumpy road and construction site headed there. Having a hard time getting it fix also. If do they want to charge extra (ford service )put have to sent it out to another shop which this is ridiculous. I need to drive my daughter to college 4-6 hours away. She graduated as valedictorian and exception at a private college she may not be able to attend because of this problem. No child left behind act. Well if ford would had set their priority straight the first time instead of speedy delivery everything and everybody would be please, happy.i shouldn't have to pay this to get it fix. Why recall on van to fix there rust problem but not escape.why ? trying to make extra pocket money of this profit. Maybe. To many ford customer headed to other body work service for repairs. What they waiting on for someone to died from this as well. Or whatever. Check the right rear door as well. Terrible noise opening it. This ridiculous.ma 10/5
