My airbags didnt deploy when kids had a wreck today

My airbags didnt deploy when kids had a wreck today

I bought a 2013 focus st in february 2020.it was having stalling issues reportedly due to a wire harness tsb/recall car was taken in to have recall repair done.took the vehicle in to corwin ford in nampa idaho after two weeks of them having the car they could not figure out what was wrong and told me the car was fine. I test drove it and it drove better than before they stated they did nothing so i left. The second i turn out of the dealership it stalls so i took it back and let them know its still stalling a tech came and looked and verified something was wrong with the car. I finally researched and came across that tsb so i called and left a voicemail advising them to check the harness.well it turned out to be the splices not being done correctly the first time. I was charged and accused of trying to foot the bill for telling them it should be covered under a recall remedy or recall warranty...

I just bought a 2011 mercury mariner in april 2013..i only had it 6 weeks when this happened.i was driving in 5 o'clock traffic and my car motor started making funny noises, felt like it was trying to stall and would not accelerate, the wrench light came on and then my check engine light.my car would barely drive, i was stuck in traffic, thankfully people saw my hazard lights and allowed me to cut through the lines of traffic and i was finally able to pull over into a parking lot. I found out later my car had gone into "limp mode" & this is a "known issue" with ford escapes & mercury mariners model years 2009-2011.it is due to a faulty throttle body.my car has been in the shop for 2 weeks now & my mechanic has been unable to get a new part because they are on a national backorder.over 4,000 parts are on order and have been on backorder since february of this year (2013).why has there not been a recall??? clearly, this is a widespread issue!!!neither the dealership or my mechanic can get a part to fix my car.i am stuck without a vehicle or any recourse to get myself into a working vehicle.insurance will not pay for a rental indefinitely since we do not know when these replacement throttle body parts will actually ship - we've already been waiting for 2 weeks.the company keeps telling my mechanic they will ship in 3-4 days and we are still without a part.i can't help but wonder, what about the other people besides myself that have also been waiting on this shipment even longer than i have?!this is ridiculous.

1. My 2012 ford focus is stalling out and revving up at high rpms then stalling out for the last 4 months.2. This is the fourth occurrence for the same issue in the last 4 months. 3 times in the last three weeks.3. The first two times, ford could not find the problem and related to driving at high rpms or spinning on gravel which never occurred. I advised that the vehicle would rev at high rpms but not go anywhere then stall, not on a gravel road but a major highway going 55-60 mph. Twice the vehicle had to be towed. The other times i could drive it to the dealership at 30mph but it would continuously stall out. The third time they replaced the computer which did not solve the problem.the fourth time occurred and my vehicle has been at the ford dealership for a over a week and they still cannot figure what is wrong with it. My vehicle has 41,000 miles and still covered under the powertrain. Ford is refusing to buy the vehicle back under state lemon laws and not giving me an offer for diminished value for the hit i am going to take on the trade in once i hopefully get the vehicle back operational.

2012 ford focus.driver seatbelt got stuck.could not get out of the car.took over 15 minutes before i could finally get it to disengage.now it wont engage.the metal tongue goes in but does not catch.the seatbelt warning continues even when i hold it inside the clasp.i am nervous and distracted now with the seatbelt not working.this for me is a serious safety concern.

We were advised by our dealer to replace all lug nuts on our 2013 ford escape for an apparent manufacturer's design defect. The problem is related to possible seepage of salt water into the internal structure of the lug nuts resulting in expansion of the external metal covering. We were shown an example of a lug nut that had this exact problem .we were told that , if the expansion occurs, it would be nearly impossible to remove the lug nut in the event of a flat tire. Additionally, we were told that if the expanded lug nut were to be removed, it would probably not be able to be replaced onto the wheel. Further, we were informed that ford has replaced these lug nuts under their two year warrantee program, but ford would not replace them under a recall program. This appears to be a safety issue based upon the fact that corrosion/failure of lug nuts could result in the potential loss of a wheel during normal driving conditions. We believe that ford should be required to issue a general recall in order to replace these items.

Transaxle leaking - had to replace bushing, seal & nut.

2007 ford edge transmission jolts after deceleration and pushing the gas again.this sometimes also is followed by sluggish behavior.ford just keeps not finding nothing "wrong" even after inspection, replaced parts, and video of the events taking place. There are thousands of reports of similar issues online.sounds like ford needs a recall bad on the transmission issues! this event happens all the time.the throttle position sensor has been replaced.ford says no problems exist.

Late model ford pickup trucks have 4 high beams that apparently are permanently on. They are perfectly aligned to shine into my review mirror. They are also blinding when oncoming traffic.

The dps6 select shift transmission in my 2014 ford fiesta se exhibits constant problems. A list of issues includes random shifting, constant neutralization of the transmission, shuddering and loss of power. This has put me in several near accident situations and ford has acknowledged that even if they "fix" it, the problem will return. I have had 2 tcm re programmings, a new tcm installed as well as new clutches and seals. The problem persists and is getting worse.

I have a 2008 ford edge, there is a blind spot with no vision blind by the panel on the driver side, when i'm making a left turn you can't see anything on the road.i hit the curb and it blew out my back tire and i had to replace my rim. The right driver side where the wind shield and right driver side door meets is no vision at all.this is a hazard for making left turns.also the transmission has speed issues, when driving along at the speed of 20 to 30 miles into traffic the transmission speeds gives out.i had to pull of the road several times.

I have my car serviced and maintenance done regularly. I havent missed an oil change, tire rotation, tire change since i bought myself vehicle(08/08/2015). The car has always shuddered during acceleration and i wanna as this is nothing to worry about. However it is a safety hazard. My ford focus has had the clutch replaced and rear main seal leak fixed 3 times within the period of 10 days yet the issue continues. My car launched me into traffic as i tried to accelerate out of a stop sign and cross the highway. Once in traffic the transmission failed and the drive gear selected would not work. I hadnt to act quickly to put the vehicle in reverse and escape a hazardously situation. The vehicle is unsafe and the transmission needs to be recalled. If this same issue with the transmissionthat i have experienced 3 times in the the passed 11 days cannot be permanently fixed by the manufacturer(ford motor company) which clearly it cannot as they only continue to replace the clutch which is not the issue, then the nhtsa needs to investigate this safety hazard. It is a matter of public safety and cannot hen ignorwd any longer.

Cannot see adequately in rain even with wipers on high speed.

Brake issue. Softening of hydraulics of brakes in 2008 ford fusion se. Occurs whenever abs are activated. Now it occurs more often. May be cause of rearend wreck listed below. Brakes fail to fully engage when compressed unless pumped.has occurred at least 3 times over the past year. Have to get it fixed needs recalled for safety.

10/16/15 bought van. 10/30/15 stop had towed home.call dealership had towed to there place. They ran a red wire from fuse relay to inside of dashboard took over a week got it back. Not in even week later transmission start messing up told them wouldn't change gears. It went out. They didn't want to fix it file complaint with (dmv) investigator got in touch with them agreement was they will have it fix we dont pay labor, we just pay for trans and fluids. Had it towed they been had van year. 10/2016 they found trans cost 515.paid them. Then in 11/2016 said radiator was cracked we had to pay 102.84 another month 12/26/2016got van. Its messed up smoking brakes burnt up.the speedometer lines under van not connect just hangingdont match up one broke at the end.the odometer not hook up.told them then carried to inspection failed. Make a long story short they lied the trans cost 250 the guy that was working on it busted radiator busted it they didnt tell us. They responsible .the miles have been rolled back.2 times. 10/15/2015 says 144448.now 01/02/17 says 144208. They been had a year and the odometer disclousuer statement was signed by the lady not me are my wife.she said she didn't but did. Want give us money back and they put all the invoices in his name and dealership name like we didn'tpay for anything and she still want give me a invoice for the 515 for trans. The man going to tell me put it up for sale cant they messed it up and took all our money we only get paid once a month. Want our money back.

2007 ford edge sel awd, transmission problem, drove 25 to 30 miles highway to town with 3 to 4 stop lights accelerated from 3rd and would not shift out of 1st gear and only would go 20 mph high rev and no moving, could have caused and accident on a faster rd, dealership can't find anything wrong yet estimate of over $700 right now with nothing found wrong car has around 125,000 miles should last longer than that when proper maintenance and none aggressive driving are done

The drivers seat belt on my 2004 ford mistang will not retract. I've checked to make sure there is nothing restricting it. It appears the retracting mechanism has failed.

My 2009 ford fusion has a brake problem, took it to get serviced they couldn't find anything, then a day later i received a letter that there is a recall manufacturer recall number19s54nhtsa recall number19v904. Still waiting a year later for a remedy, in the meantime i paid for service that wasn't fixed and i only have back brakes, pedal goes to floor before catching to stop. Very unsafe. When will they fix it? when i have an accident and no longer need the part? this is a disgrace to be driving so unsafe. I'm afraid to really go anywhere with it. Please help!

Our 2008 edge started braking erratically when decelerating from interstate speeds. It would start to slow, then release (as if there were no brakes), then reengage with a "clunk." i had it examined on a lift and could clearly see that the front left abs ring was cracked. There was no corrosion or impact damage. It appears to have just cracked open on its own as a result of inferior design and poor material (some kind on pot metal that looks very brittle). As fragile as this part is, i believe many of these vehicles have experienced one or more of these failures and should be subject to a recall. This is a significant safety issue. Ford says the part can't be repaired..the whole axle has to be replaced at a cost of $650. Ford customer service said it's 1,000 mi. Out of warranty so..."too bad for you!" while i like the vehicle overall, i am appalled by ford's poor engineering on this part and its unwillingness to do anything about it. The dealer says they have seen quite a few of these and many more online. This really needs to be recalled.

I had a passenger in the rear passenger side seat that could not open the door to get out. I had to go to the outside door handle to open the door. On inspection it appears the interior rear door handle has started to crack at the pivot point(spring return attachment point). The break causes interference with the rear door handle bezel and limits travel of door handle (door won't open). It appears the same thing is starting to happen on the other rear door. Car only has 85000 miles. It appears to be a design/manufacturing defect. I will be going to ford to get a replacement which i hope has had a design change to fix this. The rear doors had been used very little so its not a usage issue. This is a real safety concern for rear passengers.

This incident just occurred the first time about 3 hours ago. While traveling on the freeway accelerated at 60 mph my 2009 mercury mariner (75k miles) just seemingly stalled. The wrench light came on and i had to turn on emergency flashers, pull to the side, shut off vehicleand turn it back on. It started back fine. Then a little while later it happened again while only traveling 35 mph... It has happened 4 times in the past 3 hours and the dealership is closed. I have 2 small boys and i am terrified of our safety since this is our only means of transportation.

I have a 2007 ford edge. Transmission and transfer case out. No warning light came on

The dealer i work at, szott ford in holly mi, recently caught a technician not performing recalls on vehicles after months of the rest of us telling management that it was going on. Szott ford elected to take no action to make sure what probably amounts to hundreds of vehicles this technician failed to perform recalls on were safe because that would look bad on the dealer. Recalls in question would be the 16s30 and 15s16 door latch recalls.

The ford ev charge cord (ford part no. Fm58-10b706ac) that came with my 2013 cmax energi draws too much current and is a fire hazard.i just filed a vehicle complaint (no. 10904811) with photographs of the melted cord and burn marks on my outlets, describing the hazard in detail.it is likely that this cord or a similarly designed cord is used with the ford focus energi and ford fusion energi so this hazard should be investigated as an equipment defect and not just a vehicle defect.

2014 ford f150 with the 3.5l ecoboost engine.i was driving home yesterday going a steady speed down the interstate.the wrench light turned on the dash and i lost all functions to the accelerator pedal.after some online research it turns out ford is having issues with the throttle body and how it receives signal from the accelerator pedal.i checked and there is no recalls at this time.it is a serious safety hazard.if it decides to mess up when turningand there is on coming traffic that will cause an accident.the accelerator pedal becomes inop and the truck will only idle.i had to purchase a new throttle body today because i don't want that scenario to happen again!

Had 3 failures with dtc p2111 while traveling. The car was taken to a ford dealer and the etb (electronic throttle body) part # at4z 0e926b.my research shows many problems with this etb since 2005. Nhtsa completed its investigation in 2014 however the problem has not been solved.

Ford advertises that an owner can alter the performance of their cars driven by someone else.if the speed and acceleration is altered without the knowledge of the driver i can foresee terrible consequences.this shouldn't be allowed.can you imagine hitting a young driver head on because dad wanted to limit how fast junior could drive.this is the dumbest option ever offered and it shouldn't be offered at all.

Driving 2011 mercury milan 65mph on interstate (in construction zone) vehicle jolted hard and with loss of acceleration. There was not enough acceleration to get to a safe spot and traffic was heavy so i came to a slow jerking stop with semis honking, passing by and ten cars screeching to a stop behind vehicle. Wrench light and motor light came on in message center. I had to come to a stop in the middle of traffic to put into park and then restart my car. When i restarted it and drove a few feet the rpm?s flew to 5,500 and the car jerked for miles until i could get out of construction zone and pull over to a somewhat safe spot. My mercury milan only has 48,000 miles. This scary occurrence has happened 3 times now, once on another highway and another on a residential road. Even after getting the throttle body diagnosed and replaced this is still an issue. I am taking it to the ford dealership for the fourth time with hopes that they can fix the problem. I am scared to even drive the car. It is not safe and i will be very displeased with ford if there is not a recall considering how dangerous this manufactured product is. Thank you for your cooperation and i hope no one gets hurt because of this issue that so many people seem to be having as well.

Car stalled while going up on the ramp to turnpike no power. Went to margate ford and let them do a check, found out it was not covered under by any warrenty. Had to pay 650.00 for what was not covered by warrentty throttle bodyand motor asy. Also a valve asy.

I was leaving work after the vehicle was parked outside all day in below zero weather. When i put the car in reverse i had no brakes.had to depress brake extremely hard to get car to stop. The brakes started working properly after driving a short distance.this happened a second time under the same conditions a couple of days later. I had it checked out and the mechanic could not find anything wrong. Then a month later after driving approximately 5 blocks the brake warning light came on and then the advance trac warning light came on and i had no brakes again.i stopped the car by depressing the brakes extremely hard and shut it off and then they worked fine again. I took it to the ford dealer.they found several codes but could not duplicate the problem and charged me $150and fixed nothing. They said they could change several different parts but would be costly and might not be the correct part. Very dangerous situation.

Hi i have 2005 ford f-150 with the 5.4 3v. I have services the truck exactly like the owners manual says. The engine knocks extremely bad at operating temp. I took it to my local ford dealership and they told me it was normal just keep driving it. I told them i had power loss and it wasn't running right. I was told they could fix for around 7000 dollars but that ford hasn't issued no recall. I believe these 5.4 3v are dangerous to have on the road, they could cause a wreck or worse. I will never buy a ford again because they will not stand behind what they build and what we pay out our hard earned money for.

2008 ford edge transmission issues. The transmission does not shift properly and sticks in gear and shifts very erratically. It happens at least once a day or more depending on how often it is driven. The car has become unresponsive at different times to the the gas pedal and has actually shut off in the middle of the road, we were able to coast barely to safety. From reading ford forums it is a very common problem, and ford knows about it but will do nothing to correct the problem. We do not feel safe many times driving the car not knowing what the transmission will or won't do next,.

My rear diff is making a loud noise at 50 to 55 miles an hour on my 2003 ford 150. The rear diff is on the recall list, but the ford dealership will not honor the recall because i have a salvage title. In no way was my vehicle diff compromised in connection to the salvage title. It is simply defective and makes a loud noise. Im wondering if it is safe to drive due to the loud noise.

We have a 20018 ford expedition platinum, 2wd (rear wheel drive).bought brand new.for the past month we've been having what seems like transmission issues.car has 45,000 miles on it.a few times a day the transmission fails to shift at all; essentially goes in-between gears, revs high, but absolutely no movement.usually soon after moving from a start, so maybe 2nd to 3rd gear or 3rd to 4th gear.it happens without any warning. Has nothing to do with the care being hot or cold.it is very scary because one of the times, i had pulled out from a gas station onto a highway, accelerating normally to keep up with oncoming traffic with i lost all power to the wheels.engine continued revving. There was no tire slipping - just no movement whatsoever.took it into the ford dealer (golden circle ford) in jackson tn where they evaluated the vehicle and found nothing wrong with it.they apparently put it on the computer and drove it; and were unable to duplicate the problem. They gave me a ridiculous explanation that the vehicle is 'learning' (aka "adapting") to my driving style and that it was normal behavior.that was last week.since then, the shifting between low gears has become someone rougher/ with some hesitancy.i did research these vehicle and apparently there may be an issue with the 10 speed automatic transmissions now being used in the f150 trucks with many people describing similar transmission problems.i just wanted to let you know that there is a potential issue, that can also be very dangerous if the car stops moving in the middle of the road with oncoming traffic.thank you.

I have a 2008 ford edge. I have been putting up with many issues until the last one i experienced last year. My usual problems have been when on an incline & trying to go forward, the car will go backwards causing you to have your foot on the brake and the gas at the same time so you will not hit the car behind you. Also the transmission shifts very hard. When driving the vehicle will jerk for no apparent reason.but the last problem that caused me to park the vehicle was when it just stopped accelerating in the middle of traffic. I was fortunate to be able to coast to a nearby parking lot. I am afraid to drive this vehicle now. I cannot afford to take it to a dealership to have repairs right now.

2007 ford edge..trying to accelerate on interstate (while on an out-of-town trip) following symptoms...no overdrive, speedometer dead, odometer dead, orange wrench came on, and air bag light came on. Pulled over (miracle we did not get into an accident) turned vehicle off, waited 2 long minutes, (trying to figure out how to tow this vehicle home), started car and went down the road wondering if we were going to make it to our destination and back. This needs to be looked into before someone dies. Very concerned as to what to do. This has happened 3 times. Trying to figure out what to do..

2010 ford edge trasmission. After driving at highway speeds for about an hour and then come to a stop. When you start to go again the transmission feels like it goes to neutral and then slams into drive. Sometimes it takes less than a second to correct itself and sometimes its 2-3 seconds before it goes. It has happend almost every time we drive at highway speeds. Dealer cannot replicate the issue.

Driving 2006 ford freestar on i20in ftworth tx at night in rain when transmission goes out with no warning, like it is neutral. Lucky for my family we were able to coast to side of the road. I had a 04 freestar, and it did same thing, so i knew it was torque converter. Had a friend come pick us up, and had van towed to a shop. Don't know the cost yet for torque converter replacement...we got screwed on the 04 freestar torque converter recall by ford because i had the transmission replaced with a new transmission before i knew about the recall.ford refused to reimburse anything because i had a new transmission put in.now the same problem with torque converter going out in our 06 freestar, and ford don't want to admit there is a problem with the 06 freestar torque converters.it's the same one as in my 04 freestar, ford should include 06/07 in the recall.

I have a 2008 ford edge that i purchased in 2011. I have had issues with the transmission slipping and jerking within a couple of months of purchase.i bought extended warranty.i took the vehicle in and they could not replicate the problem. After about a year of this it bacame worse to the point that if i tried to put it in reverse the engine jerked so hard that i thought the vehicle was damaged.had it towed to the dealership they said it was sensors and my extended warranty was no good because they back dated it to the original owner so i had to pay $1100 to have 2 sensors replaced and here i am again several yearslater experiencing the same issue.i have read numerous complaints of the same exact problem and feel like should be a recall issue for ford.this is a very expensive faulty design problem and i am in despair thinking about how i need to pay to have this fixed yet again.

The transmission isn't switching right and throws the whole car forward and it only has 32000 miles on it 2014 ford fusion. This has been a ongoing issue had looked at 2x they say all 2014 ford fusions do this. Causing wrecks is ridiculous!

2002 ford windstar axle repair failed.golf mill ford in niles, il repaired my ford windstar in late 2010 after inspecting it.golf mill decided to patch and not replace the axle.on july 6 the tire kicked out and started to slide in patch bracket. I called ford and they instructed me to take to original dealer who done repaired and to keep all receipts for work done for possible reimbursement.dealer looked at axle and said they have had similar field problems and ford has been replacing the axle and repaired had internal code stating they axle repair did not "expire".when the repair request was submitted to ford for authorization, ford declined.the service manager was shocked and i was told that ford said the program was declined for the program met its obligation and i was told to keep the receipt for it would be necessary for future reimbursements. Golf mill ford in niles, il made the repair and "good deal" labor rate to assist in the bill and for this i thank them.however,i am shocked the ford is aware of field failures in a poorly designed field fix and has chosen not to properly remedy the first attempt at a fix. 2014 ford edge automatic transmission problem. Have replaced the modulator once at 120,000 miles. Now at 132,000 miles, the same problem. The transmission shifts hard when accelerating, usually at speeds below 40 miles per hour.

My 2013 ford fiesta was serviced at the "beach ford" dealership in virginia beach.the problem involved concerns with the transmission exhibiting unsafe and abnormal behaviors including: excessive crunching noises, jerking, shuttering, loss of acceleration, and unpredictable gear shifting.after the service was performed the vehicle began operating normally.however since then the vehicle has begun exhibiting the same problems.i have brought the vehicle to beach ford three times since then, and they refuse to correct the issue.they claim the behavior to be normal for the type of transmission in the vehicle.they have refused to perform the needed work on the transmission even though it is covered under warranty. They won't even submit a repair order for the problem.

Torque converter problem diagnosed. The year and model of my van has a recall but my vin# is not included.i contacted ford and they told me too bad, i cannot get my van fixed under the recall even though there is a known problem because they have not added my vin# to the recall.

My 2014 ford focus has had issue with transmission since i purchased new in 2014. When accelerating it will jerk and lurch forward. Also when de-accelerating to lower speeds. Worse when a/c in use. Almost caused accident three months ago. I had a traffic light change to green just as i got to it. Had slowed and when i accelerated the car jerked me into the other lane. I called my dealer and took the car in. Told them i was going to trade in if they couldnt repair. Last week, i spoke with the man who sold me the car and made appt. To buy another car. But on wednesday august 1st, i was driving home in a 25 mph zone. A car had stopped on the side so i tapped my brakes to slow even more when the car violently jerked me into the curb and caused an accident. When i attempted to move the car off the curb it would not go into reverse. Later the tow truck driver was able to move the car before towing. Has almost $4000 in damage. Thankfiul no one was hurt. But, ford need to do something.

2005 mercury monterey had torque converter replaced by ford dealer per recall notice in 2013.by late 2015 vehicle would lose power while gradually accelerating from 40 to 60 highway speeds.transmission felt as though it would slip, upon firmer acceleration the vehicle would accellerate.condition advanced to affect the vehicle at lower speeds.consumer took the vehicle to ford dealer and was told the torque converter needed to be replaced (again).after only 20,000 miles the recalled torque converter failed.after arbitration with the service department, consumer reluctantly paid $1,203.00 to replace the torque converter.

Complete brake failure! vehicle: 2014 f150 ford ecoboost 4wd with 46,000 milesi drove from a parked position approximately 100' to a stop sign when the brakes failed completely. The brake pedal went to the floorboard with no braking and a warning appeared on the dash that the brake fluid is low. I went past the stop sign and through the intersection and stopped using the emergency brake.i received a recall notice ([xxx]) in the mail the day this happened (7/18/2016). The recall came out two months earlier but this was the first notification by ford.the recall states the brake failure may involve the front brakes and not the rear brakes which is totally false. In my case, both front and rear brakes were instantly non-existent. Additionally the recall stated that a low fluid alarm and audible signal would notify driver if fluid was low. This also is incorrect. Ford dealerships say they have no directive to perform the work and not parts have been provided so their hands are tied until further notice. Their estimate is that it will take one month to get the parts so my truck will be out of commission between one and three months. This failure could have easily been fatal if it happened in traffic or on a highway instead of on a lightly traveled side street with no traffic. This report might not be important to the nhtsa since no death or damage was involved but it could have resulted in such. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The tac is reving between 2nd and 3rd gear. I am being told its the transmission and it will cost me 5,000.00 to fix it.

I have pictures if necessary!

Transaxle leaking - had to replace bushing, seal & nut.

The transmission isn't switching right and throws the whole car forward and it only has 32000 miles on it 2014 ford fusion. This has been a ongoing issue had looked at 2x they say all 2014 ford fusions do this. Causing wrecks is ridiculous!
