Spark plugs working loose and ejecting from cylindar heads due to insufficiant threads in poor head design.

I am ceo of palmetto state wholesale located at 1403 success way, florence,s.c.2950. I purchased five "e" series 450s and one "e" series 550 ford trucks with 6.0 diesel, 2003 and 2004s and from the start these trucks have spent more time in the shop than on the road servicing our customers. These six trucks have been repaired over and over for the same problems such as brake problems, electrical issues, oil pressure problems and injector issues to name a few. The issue that concerns me the most is that these six trucks will lose power while in operation without warning. These trucks as they are operated can drop in speed of 65 to 70 mph down to 35 to 40 mph in a matter of seconds. These six trucks manufactured by ford motor company not only will lose power at times but will stall making them almost impossible to handle as they move off the roads to safety. The ford "e" series trucks aren't only a problem for palmetto state wholesale and the customers that depend on our services but these trucks are a danger to my drivers and to the public as these trucks are driven on major public roads everyday. The issue that angers me even more is that these trucks have been repaired over and over again for the loss of power as well as many other non life threatening issues and psw was informed at the end of last month(may) that ford motor has known of latent defects manufactured into these trucks and it wouldn't matter if psw would bring these trucks in on a daily basis the root cause to the issues relates toelectrical and mechanical problems built into the trucks. I was also informed that the reason for no re-call by ford motor company is due to the magnitude of the cost associated with such a re-call. On june 14th i wrote a letter to mr. William clay ford,jr. And shared this information.i am forwarding a copy of my letter to mr. Ford to the nhtsa address in washington, dc.

While driving on the highway my check engine light came on.shortly afterwards i could not accelerate, and had to proceed to the shoulder.i could not see anything visually wrong with the vehicle.i waited a few minutes and it started back up and went on my way.this happened a number of times until i reachedmy destination.when i took the car into the shop they replaced the electronic throttle sensor.since then i have been having electrical issues.the car would not start after stopping at a convenient store, i got a jump start.also the trunk light has been comingon, and my car alarm has been going off randomly.

I would like to complain about my cougar.i cannot pass the il. Emissions tests, due to the fact that the o2 sensors are defective.my engine light is constantly on.i have had my car serviced for the engine light, alone, 8 different times. Eight!this is incredible.also, my car makes a loud screeching noise when i attempt to start it. -if it starts at all.- i have had my starter replaced twice.twice!!! this car is a lemon.nothing but a lemon.how could mercury sale such crap and get away with it.my drivers' license will be suspended because i cannot pass the emissions test. If i can even get my car to the testing facility.i have had the alternator changed, the fuel pump, the electrical wiring changed, sunroof, turning signal, even the radio was defective.i sincerely hope that there is a class-action lawsuit against mercury, because i will be the first one in line to sue.

I have gone on numerious occasions to the ford dealer because my ford explorer xls 2000has had alternator/battery gauage/charging problem.each time i have gone i have not been satisfied with their answers or work and have already replaced my alternator twice and my battery once since the purchase of my brand new vechile.the gauge does not mark that it is charging in the middle(normal) has it once was before the first alternator replacement.when i've complained about this they tell me its normal for the gauge to read below the middle.i'm not and have not been satisfied with the answer since my suv has never read below normal until they replaced the alternator.i've taken it for second opinions to car mechanics and they expressed that the gauage should be in the middle and that the battery is not charging at were it suppose to.

On 2 ocassions in july 2002; ford ranger just stopped running...all systems non functioning; right in the middle of the road, with mileage< 15,000.there was no time to pull off road as no warning lights came on; all systems simply failed.first time it was repaired under warranty, it happened again a week later.i might add their roadside service could not be provided as they had no one available.i sat for 2 hours until police came by & obtained a tow for me.victory ford in stoughton ma. Did first repair & truck was not running right.when i brought it back the next day; they stated it was road tested.how can they road test when in mileage was the same as out mileage?second time repair was done at a different ford dealership, which i have no problem with except it took over a week before they could get to it.the repair was completed and i was told it was the main computer chip.but in case it happened again they gave me an extra chip and showed me how to install it !!!real confidence builder!!truck continued to run rough but i was told this was typical of ford by the mechanic.second complaint...engine light came on, and when i went to ford garage they told me they couldn't get to it for days, but that it was probably alright to drive, but that i should have it checked out.how do i get it checked out when no local ford garages could do it.took my chances and went on vacation.when i arrived at my destination; a male relative called a ford garage in n.h.the problem..a dpfe sensor & it was promptly repaired.this garage in conway n.h. (macdonald motors) treated me the way i felt all customers should be treated.must i go out of state now to get truck fixed which is still under warrenty and <18,000 miles on it.thank you for hearing me out & allowing me to vent.i have been a ford owner for many years & trade vehicles every 2 years.guess it's time to seek another auto maker.

Poorly designed ignition cylinders.this causes the tumblers to fail resulting in a lock-up of the ignition.the owner cannot turn the key to start the car and as a result, has to be towed.i was told that the ignition cylinders in the 2000 and 2001 focus were the european design.i have had to replace my cylinder twice.once it was covered under warranty, the second time it was not and i had to pay $200.there are other focus owners who have this problem.see the websites below.http://www.autowhiz.com/messageboards/message.php?id=1784http://consumeraffairs.com/automotive/ford_focus_ignition.htmlhttp://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.eea6dd2/286among many othersi was told that they put an engineer in the position to specifically re-design the ignition cylinder.so while ford continually claims to not know about the problem, it is apparent that they did.while there were no deaths nor injuries, it is not up to the people to pay for ford's poor quality.

Replaced ignition lock and cylinder twice on a 2000 ford focus.had tohave the car towed.the steering wheel occasionally locks.have around 46338 miles on the automobile.the bill was $215.52.purchased the automobile from team ford in tarboro, north carolina.*nlm

I had to replace two ignition switches on my 1991 mercury 1.9 tracer to the tune of $360.00.the first one they installed, the tumblers fell apart after one day, i had to be towed back to the mechanic to install a second ignition switch.i was informed that ford had a recall on tracer ignition switches. How do i recover my expense?

I put my key in the ignition and it would not start steering wheel locked and car would not turn on towed to dealer cost was 50 dollars w/ extended warrant also happened to my sisters 2003 ford focus .the ignition was replaced .

This has happened at least 3 times since i have owned this truck. Traveling down the interstate the engine for no reason and with out any warning just shut down leaving me with no braking power or any steering. This in turn almost caused a wreck involving several automobiles. From there i had it towed into my shop where they had determined that my cps had gone out. They replaced the item and everything was fine thus far.this was the first time for me this happened and there where two more times this occurred. I did not keep any of the old parts. Also on this complaint form there was no choice for international (ihc) so the equipment page is messed up.

Electrical problem. Massive corrosion of pcm harness under junction box.

I've been having quite a few things going on with my vehicle. #1 the power windows would get stuck & not go up or down. Sunroof would get stuck as well...i had to replaced the fuse(same) several times..about 3 times to be exact. #2 sometimes the vehicle would not start...i would have to turn on the a/c or heat for it to start..as long as the air was blowing, it would go ahead & start...but even sometimes that didn't help...i was listening to music while at mysons football practice, tried to start the car & it wouldn't start...replaced the battery... Sometimes the car still cuts off & hesitate on me. I've noticed that problem especially when it rain. I've noticed that this clicking & ticking noise all the time...it gets annoying...it sounds like the signal light is still on..but its not....#3 the paint on this vehicle is poor...the coat is very thin...causing the paint to chip & fade away quickly...#4 the buttons for the seat movement came out on the side...it's hanging off on the side of the passenger side...i think the latch to hold it together broke #5 the windshield wipers doesn't work properly when its raining...#6 the vehicle tends to move toward the right for some reason...like its out of lined or something, even after having the wheels on the car aligned & checked..#7 the biggest problem we are having with this vehicle is when we are at a light(stopped) the vehicle would move like its about to race another car...while having my foot on the brake...it would jerk almost hitting the car in front of me...i don't know whats going on with this vehicle....but these problems need to be resolved......these are manufacturer defects!!

There is a customer complaint recall on ford explorer sports that ford customer relations said information was sent out on and people i talk to have not received this information. I am currently having this problem with my vehicle and when taking to the dealership i am told yes there was and ford knows that the tensioner chain is bad and they have a quiet recall on them and mine was covered but because of the miles on mine it is not and ford will do nothing about it. They know this is a problem and they should fix it and in all vehicles not just a complaint. The vehicle rattles and does not want to run with this problem. There is actually two recalls on this part not just one and i think ford needs to fix all the vehicle no matter what miles is on the vehicle the coverage is 6 years 72,000 mile i have a 2000 with a little over 77,000 mile only 5,000 out of there coverage area and i have also had to put a new transmission in the vehicle and ford knows that there transmissions have lots of problems also.

I bought a 2003 ford escape in november 2002 and i have experienced a lot of problems with my suv over 5 times. Right now, my suv is in the shop for a coolant system replacement and a radio replacement. My radio was replaced twice this year already. My suv wouldn't start twice thisyear. I believe i have driven a loaner car at least 5 times since nov 2003. I am not happy with my suv. I feel it is a lemon. It has been a problem for me since day one. *la

I am the owner of a '93 mercury villager. I have had to have several of my head bolts replaced due to broken bolts causing my head gasket to leak and cause my engine to overheat. I am not the only person with this particular problem, there are many of us seeking an explanation. For more information you can visit cartrackers.com and you will find many upset owners of both nissan quest and mercury villagers (same motors) with same problem.

I own a 1999 ford escort se.ithas less than 32,000 original miles.i was driving the car when it started making a loud vibrating noise from under the hood.as i had previously had to have the motor mounts replaced, when the car was still under warranty, i thought that was the problem.i took the car to my mechanic, not the dealership.on investigation, he discovered that my 4th piston is cracked.when he called jasper engines for the price on a replacement engine, they told him that they had received service bulletins that this was a problem in the 1999 escort engines. I have contacted ford about helping in the cost of replacing the engine and have been told that because the car is more than 5 yrs old they will not help.if they knew there was a problem, the should have to repair it.i don't know what other steps to take and wish to keep the car.

After car inspected and several repairs completed on my 1994 lincoln continental, executive series in good condition, the engine was blown and the dealership stated to trade-in the vehicle.

The engine in the 1996 lincoln town car is faulty and should be investigated. I had 80,000 miles on my engine when the engine threw a rod.i have spoken to several mechanics, who stated that the engine is the same as the engine placed inside of 1995 through present ford crown victoria's.on person told me no matter how well i took care of my vehicle the engine was made to fail.i changed the oil in the vehicle every 3,000 miles and without fail.what ever my maintenance book recommended, i did.i had an extended warranty until 75,000 miles.the vehicle engine failed at exactly 80,000 miles.i contacted lincoln mercury division and was told, "oh well, your vehicle has 80,000 miles. This may seem like a lot of miles, but i should still be able to drive the vehicle for another 80,000 without the engine failing.i spoke to a mechanic that installs engines for yellow cab in san francisco.he advised me that they have crates of engine blocks for the ford crown victoria's, because the engine fails between 75,000 and 80,000 miles.this is ridiculous.

New car, owned 10 months. 16,000 miles on it. Sudden engine failure, no warning what so ever, ie; no overheating, alarm etc.engine replaced, 10 days later drove only 12 miles on new engine.blew head gasket, and engine began to burn.again no warning.

Driving car when it stopped running without any notice.engine just stopped.*nlm

While traveling to work today, my 2001 ford escape stalled four times while driving.each time, i was going between 20-35 mph and the car just completely shut off.this is extremely dangerous as i have a young son who was riding with me at the time.the dealer stated they have had numerous cars do this. *la

I was driving home from work and a loud noise came from my engine i took it to a shop to look at it and they new what it was right away it was the timing chain tensioner and the owner of the shop told me this has been a known problem with the 4.0l engines with that sad why isn'tthere a recall on this part they make replacement kits just for this problem and this lead to more damage to my truck replacing the chain in all it's coasting me about 800 dollars should this be a recall because if the chain would have broke the motor would have bent the rods in the engine and whoknowswhat could of happened?

I intend to send a letter to our state senator because of the unfair service and quality of this car.i asked pok. Fordto checka vibration inthe gas pedal. I was told to get new rotors and new brakes. They said inspection was due soon, so i said fine fix it, but also do an inspection.after fixing, the pedal still vibrates. They say the tires, they're bald and strap is shifted, knowing this they passed my car anyway. Concerned i went to bj's tire center the following day to see what was going on and if they were under warranty. They replaced the two front tires because they had no treads, gave me an alignment and said this was not the problem with the gas pedal.on the way to the doctors with my children i felt my gas pedal stick.ford claims that maybe the vibration was the transmission. I went to theplace that did my transmission,he said this was not transmission related. He popped the hood and said this could be the problem, my gas cable line looked like it was sawed. He claims this just does not usually happen.i told jason what he said, jason claims he and i was crazy. He came out and looked himself, he said it was worn, frayed and very loose. After arguing with jason because he had my car five times for the same reason, and it took a transmission guy to notice the cable line, jason told me to leave the grounds and don't come back.when i got home i called the attorney generals office, federal trade comm, dept of motor vehicle, and a lawyer. I called freedom ford in beacon. He told me to bring the car in. The service man said the chamber that the cable goes through was free and there was nothing grabbing on the cable, this does not usually happen and he thinks it may have been done, but didn't comment how.i can't say how it happened but i can say that this is a safety issue and if pok. Ford didn't do this and it didn't get stuck than this should have been a recall issue. I also have two doors that are stillbroke and was supposedly fixed many times.

Failure of blend door actuator on 1997 lincoln mark viii which results in failure of hvac. This prevents defroster from functioning to clear windshield of fog or ice thus resulting in a safety hazard due to poor visibility. This part failed in may 3, 2002 and was repaired at dealership by replacing the part. The part has failed again in decemdber 12, 2004. This part has failed twice within a little over 2 years and less than 32,000 miles since it was replaced in may 2002.

Frosting and discoloration of plastic head lamp lenses severely reduce light output, and are a serious safety hazard.this is caused by heat from the bulbs and perhaps uv radiation from sunlight.lenses on my 1995 mercury grand marquis became dangerous to drive at night at least two years ago (at 8 years old).dealer (oem) replacements are $205 each, which is prohibitive for retired owners living on social security.by comparison, the old glass sealed-beam units lasted near-forever and only cost $5 to replace.manufacturers should recall and replace these for free.

Car lighter defective....it popped out and fell underneath seat and started a fire....it is defective.

While turning into a parking lot the vehicle's ford hitch broke on both sides. The trailer was taken to a welding shop were they said there wasn't any penetration on the weld, which was welded part way and to take the old receiver to the dealership. The consumer then took the receiver to the dealership, where they claimed the trailer which weight is 2500 lbs was too big, had caused the failure. 2500 lbs, is less then what ford guarantee there trucks will pull. Jeannette gomes of hartford ins. Is currently in possession of the receiver that failed. *sb

When towing boat in hot weather the transmission started leaking from rear seal. Truck was taken to dealer 3 times to remedy problem.have not towed boat since so not sure if it will return. *la

My steering column locks up and will not allow me to turn the car on.i drove my car to work no problem when i came out i could not get the key to turn in the ignition.the steering wheel is locked and will not move thereby not allowing me to trun the car on

2001 ford explorer sport, i have changed my brakes 3 times in one year.when i brake, it squeaks, very slow to stop, and shift to either side.any bump will make the vehicle lose control, esp when traveling greater than 45 miles per hour.. True hazard.

My car is ford crown victoria, 2001 year model as a taxi in n.y.city. Yesterday, i discovered bad smoke from the peddle, and i removed the mat; i found out the mat back melted with the car ground material which is rubber material; the size is like tennis ball. Because the passengers smell the air like a gas smell, so i research my car. Today, i send my car to my auto mechanic to check out; he said some parts is broken, the parts name is intake manifold. Also he told me the ford lincoln town car still has such problem, and ford had recalled them to fix it as free. After that i call ford com. 1-800-392 3673, the representative's name is [xxx] took down my case, the case no. Is [xxx]. But she said even though lincoln town car has recall program, up to now ford victorial has not any recall program like this case.so on the one side, i ask ford put my complain in record and on the hand, i report it to you, national highway traffics safety administration.i sincerely hope you will investigate such problem.

I rented a 24 foot truck from budget truck rental co. ( veh. # 558395) that had both windshield's on the cab duct taped on. The front windshield gasket came off in texas. The truck was so out of alignment that you could hardly hold on to the steering wheel between 35-50 mph. I do not believe that budget services this equipment and these problems represent a huge risk to the next unsuspecting people that rent it. This truck needs to be inspected.

Spark plugs working loose and ejecting from cylindar heads due to insufficiant threads in poor head design.

Since 3000k miles my truck would shimmy/shake violently to the point i would have to pull off the road. After multiple times to dealeship problem still there. I noticed my emergency brake light stayed on once after pulling release. Had to reapply and pull again and did release. A week later, e brake would not release after multiple attempts. After putting in gear, finally did release. After backing out of driveway, as i started to drive truck was shaking badly. I deducted e-brake sticking causing shaking. Brought to dealer- found stuck e-brake. Replaced adaptor, rotor asy-brake, cable asy-parking brake. Picked up truck-tried e-brake and went to floor, did not hold truck when in gear. Ebrake not working again after just being replaced.

Mva, damage to rearend & drivetrain; driverseat & seatbelt poss. Compromised.

Transmission failure at 14000 milestransmimssion was replaced.fuel pump replaced at 14500 miles.transmisson replaced second time at 21000 miles. Lcd dashboard features never worked properly, serviced twice for the problem never resolved.

Wheel vibration in steering wheel at highway speeds. Problem still persist even after ford motor company has installed a dampening kit via drilling through the frame to secure bolts.

I put my key in the ignition and it would not start steering wheel locked and car would not turn on towed to dealer cost was 50 dollars w/ extended warrant also happened to my sisters 2003 ford focus .the ignition was replaced .

Electrical problem. Massive corrosion of pcm harness under junction box.

Car lighter defective....it popped out and fell underneath seat and started a fire....it is defective.

*la

I own 2000 ford expedition.just found out the windshield is leaking, causing water to get into fuse box and gem module under dash causing major electrical problems.the 4-way flashers came on while driving; the blower stayed on even after removing the key from the ignition, etc.had windshield replaced today and it only took 1 minute to break the seal.the repair guy said it should take at least 20 minutes and that if we would have had a wreck the windshield would have fallen out.i've done extensive research on internet and found this is a very common problem in 1997-2001 f150's, expeditions and navigators, but especially the 2000 expedition.the seal used by ford around the windshield dry rots causing the leak.service man at ford acknowledged the problem but says no recall has been issued.

Replaced ignition lock and cylinder twice on a 2000 ford focus.had tohave the car towed.the steering wheel occasionally locks.have around 46338 miles on the automobile.the bill was $215.52.purchased the automobile from team ford in tarboro, north carolina.*nlm

Ford 2003 f350 super duty 6.0 turbo diesel - has a feature on the transmission called tow/haul which is discribed as "engine breaking". Ford has changed this program in the pcm and tcm which now allows late down shifting into the lower gears and will not stop the truck as quickly when fully loaded and allows for break fade especially on step downhill grades...........ford did a volntary recall and told consumers it was for emissions, "recall #03e03, pcm recalibration." they did not and have not notified the consumers that they recalibrated the engine breaking circuit.

We purchased this vehicle 1/03 with 39,000 miles on it.3/03 the idle air control valve went bad and had to be replaced.then 7/03 the entire transmission had to be replaced because slipping from 2nd to 3rd gear.this cost $1,800 to fix.the vehicle only had 43,000 miles on at that time.now it is 1/04 and the truck is back in the shop for an idle problem once again and the vehicle jerks and bucks when going down the road at 35-40 mph.this is a very unsafe situation and ford should be replacing all the iac valves under a recall because there are an abundance of explorer owners who this has happened to around the 39,000 -43,000 miles mark!

To whom it may concern, have brought up some serious safety problems with my employer and they seem to think that it'll be "ok"to leave these vehicles in service.bucket trucks in service in the bristol, virginia area.edwards telecommunications inc.based out of chester,sc. Is a subcontractor of bristol virginia utility board.some of our concerns are strobe lights not working, buckets not greased, fluids leaking out of trucks, brakes going to the floor at stoplights.there seems to be a general lack of concern for the employees safety, which is why i am bringing this to your attention.

1998 ford ranger pickup truck. Pulsating brake pedal,l suspected warped front brake rotors. I had similar problem with 1991 ford explorer. First occurance in march 2001 ford replaced rotors under warranty on 2/12/2001, vehicle had 24,170 miles at time of repair.second time with similar problem at 42717 miles only 18547 miles after first problem on 5/27/2004. Rotors had to be replaced again they were rusty and pitted. I paid for this repair the dealer was going to take it up with ford rep but claim was denied. I have had numerous conversation with dealership service rep to no avail. One service rep i talked to insinuated that ford rangers are prone to this problem. I have called ford and opened a complaint file. I am convinced ford has a quality problem with brake rotors on this model. Everyone agrees rotors shouldn't wear this fast. I take very good care of my vehicles.

Left rear brake caliper, specifically the parking brake pivot pin, is prone to seizure due to water and dirt intrusion past a rubber seal.repaeted cleaning and lubricating only temporarily forestalls this condition.resultant caliper drag causes indreased pad wear and high temperatures, a potential fire hazard in addition to greatly increased brakes pad/rotor wear.eventual heat, wear and corrosive sticking render the parking brake very ineffective.i have had to replace this caliper twice due to the same condition.

Purchased 2000 ford expedition-new - at 33,000 the transmission started slipping from 1st-2nd.took vehicle in to local dealer was rebuilt under warrenty.took vehicle in at 58,000mi. For the 60,000 mile service (pre-empting a vacation road trip) while on the trip the transmission went completely out--only 25,000 miles on the re-built tranny.the vehicle had 3 children--1 with autism and the other a newborn.the vehicle had died in an intersection of an emergency room and busy street.i could only go in reverse in order to get out of the intersection leaving me stranded in a left turn lane.i tried all greers from low on up and tried to engage any of my 4x4 capabiliies without anything.the vehicle was pushed out the intersection and had to be towed to a dealership in that town visiting.it is still presently there coming up on 14 days.i was given a loner car by a family member in order to get back home with my fmaily.the dealership it is presently at has again rebuilt the tranny-free of charge-due to still being under a 3yr/36,000 mi. Warrenty that was placed on the 1st rebuilt tranny.now i am told that almost everything inside the tranny was destroyed and was either rebuilt or replaced.ford felt that is was still cheaper to rebuild instead of replacing with a new tranny.i am now given a 12mon/12,000mile warrenty on this 2nd rebuild.at this point, my autistic child is having problems with the thought of getting back in this vehicle (mind you i still don't have it yet), not alone the safety concerns i have with driving this vehicle. The safety of this vehicle is most definately a concern of me and my family.i don't trust this vehicle--what happens if it dies again and this time i am not so lucky in a major intersection !?

In march of 2004, i took my 2000 ford explorer xlt for general service, the mechanic found that the front pinion seal, and torque converter seals leaking. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for repairs. Thank the lord that i took out and extended warranty on the vehicle when i purchased it sept, 2002.the repairs where completed, i also took it back to my mechanic to check and make sure the work was done.on 10/26/04 i took the vehicle back in again for work to be done and the mechanic again found the front pinion to be leaking, also found that the upper and lower ball joints were needed and that the power steering pump was chattering.just some background information:the vehicle was originally owned by my sister, when i purchased the vechicle, she was turning in her 2 year lease. When i took the vehicle over it only had11,681 miles on it.the first repairs were at 37126 miles, second time miles were 45721 miles.i also have several area's on the vehicle that have rust.i can remeber a few years ago when the 3 major car companies talked about rust not going to be a problem.one of the places with rust is on the radiator support.i just wonder how ford or any of our other us car companies can expect us to keep buying inferior products and pay alot more money.

The vehicle rolled off hill after being parked 60 minutes. Truck was in first gear with emergency brake on! this happened in november of 2001. Receivedrecall notice from ford motor company during may of 2002 and had service completed may 29th of 2002. On february 28th 2003 the same truck rolled off another hill while in first gear with the emergency brake on, after being parked over 45 minutes! there seems to be a design problem with the emergency brakes and/or transmissions/gear ratio in this model truck***recall did not work!!!!. A person should be able to put this truck in either first gear or reverse with the emergency brake on and come back and find your truck parked in the same place, not two blocks away on top of another car! especially after a recall for this problem!!!! absolutely ridiculous. How else is the general public to park these vehicles? this problem has ruined three vehicles, my flawless insurance record and is going to kill somebody if it already hasn't.

Door handles can be broken into with a screw driver due to the used of plastic. Ord super duty trucksshould have metal door latches.

I have taken vehicle to armstrong ford, world ford, and then sawgrass fordat least 6 times for the same problem.... My vehicle jumps forward when i am not even pushing on the gas pedal.or it dies when it's on idle position.they have changed parts, done recall repairs, and the last time i had to pay over $100.00 for them to tell me they couldn't find thecause of the problem.i am afraid one day someone is going to cross in front of me and this vehicleis going to jump forward and hurt someone!!!i am tired of this problem i.have been dealing with this since a month after i bought it!!!this is crazy that they can't seem to find thecause of the problem!, and they don't want to try.... I guess they want someone to get hurt.

I bought a 1997 mazda 626 and has been having nothing but problems out of it!! my o/d (over drive) light blinks constantly non stop and the transmission jerks real hard when changing gears.today the transmission went out all the way! its obvious that mazda knows about this problme because when i took it to the dealership he didn't even look at my car, i told him the problem i was having and he said you need a transmission because all mazda do that.well i have only had the car for a couple of months, so why is all the transmissions going bad in them? i receive no answer from the dealership, and now iam about to be all a bunch of money to fix this problem, money i don't have! and hard to get while you have no way back and forth to work to even get the money! well i really think mazda needs to recall the transmission for their cars.the o/d light blinked for about 2 weeks everytime i took to a tranmission place it stopped blinking like a ghost! well its going to cost me 2,600 to fix it so mazda needs to pay at least half of it considering i haven't even had the car long and the owner before me told me he just had to replace the radiator and timing belt. I had a 87 camry and it ran good for over 3 years never having to replace a transmission or motor! i will never buy another mazda ever! they need to have immediate attention to this matter and at least contact there consumers and let them know they are concerned about this.

On the date indicated below while travelling with my children (the youngest only 18 months old) and my mother to visit relatives in leonardtown md, approximately 4 hours from my home, my 1995 ford windstar transmission failed completely, shortly after exiting the ft. Mchenry tunnel, which was very crowded.i had the van checked before i left for my destination, particularly the transmission fluids and other fluids, and there was no indication that failure was imminent.i was stranded by the side of the road for over 2 hours, but consider myself lucky because if this van had stalled in the tunnel, we probably would have been killed.the problem is that this is the third time the transmission has failed on this vehicle which only has 73,400 miles.i am currently looking at an out of pocket expense of $2,000.00 and i would like to know what the problem is with this van, which has consistently given me problems since i purchased it.i have also filed a complaint with the ford company, but have not yet heard from them.i have filed numerous complaints with ford regarding the 1995 windstar (which various ford employees have told me is one of the worst vehicles ever made) and the company does not want to acknowledge that the van is indeed a lemon.i paid good money for this van, and expect to last a little longer then it has.thank you for taking the time to review this complaint.

New car, owned 10 months. 16,000 miles on it. Sudden engine failure, no warning what so ever, ie; no overheating, alarm etc.engine replaced, 10 days later drove only 12 miles on new engine.blew head gasket, and engine began to burn.again no warning.

I noticed after buying new tires at local wal-mart store that they had applied copper-based anti-galling lubricant to the wheel studs and lug nuts during the re-installation.in discussions with local ford and gm service managers, both said that the manufacturers specify that these items be made up without lubrication of any kind.the ford manager said that the wheel lug nuts could loosen in service if lubricated.i made wal mart disassemble the lug nuts and clean off the lubricant, which they did, albeit perfunktorily.another potential problem with this is that the anti-galling lubricants produce very low friction factor, about half compared to dry makeup if i recall some past testing that was done for oil field service bolting.this means that if the lug nuts are made up to the manufacturers specification (usually about 100 ft-lb of torque), the assembly with the lubricant will produce twice the clamping force expected in the design.this can potentially lead to yielding of the stud and/or warpage of the brake disks.the latter would probably not occur if torque was applied in multiple stages, but this is not the case.the first nut is usually made up close to the full specified torque with an air impact wrench and limiting rod.the brake drum or disk could easily warp under the excessive clamping force before an opposing nut is made up to balance forces across the bolt circle.this is just a bad practice reportedly instituted at all wal-mart locations, and probably at sams wholesale club locations as well.their aim is probablyto eliminate the occasional galling problem on the studs which necessitates replacing the galled stud.for the record, both gm and ford do endorse use of small amounts of anti-galling compounds, but only on the center opening of the wheel to prevent corrosion binding of this tight-fitting opening on the mating vehicle hub.hopefully, no one will have to loose a wheel at 75 mph and die before this bad practice is stopped.

This is the second fuel pump i have had to pay for in 14 months. Their is a problem here that should be addressed as a recall. I am very disappointed in this ford focus.

I am a inspector of final assembly at the milan visteon plant in milan, mi responsible for the final inspection of ford f-150 fuel tanks. These tanks are currently involved in a safety recall due to process failures in the themoforming stages. I have been ordered by my supervisors to circumvent quality checklists and have been told to place missed identification stickers on tanks as well as quality check verification marks directly on the tanks regardless of my direct knowledge of theses quality stepshappening in order to meet production goals.

I along with many other people have had the same issue with my dash board peeling back. I took it in for the recall instead of repairing it they just reglued it. A year later it came apart again and they would not fix it agin. I called ford they said the recall had expired but since i did have it fixed once i would have to take it up with the dealership. They said the same thing and that i would have to pay out of my pocket to fix it. I don't have that type of money and feel as if there should be an additional recall on this issue.

Passenger power door lock failed, necessitating passenge to roll down car widow to use exterior door handle to get out. Driver side door lock soon failed in exact same manner.

On 12/2/04 i brought my vehicle to ford for a repair. My cruise control was not disengaging from the steering wheel, i had to step on the brake to accomplish this. The repair was done. I had no further problems with this until aprox 12/14/05. The same exact problem recurred with the cruise control not disengaging from the steering wheel. When i contacted the ford dealer who did the original repair, i was told i would have to pay for the service repair since they only warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles. I feel this is a safety hazard. Clearly a repair such as this should not recur if new parts were used. Either there should be a recall for this issue or faulty parts were used. When i contacted ford mfg i was told the same >>>my warranty had expired (by 2 weeks i should add)>>>so i was out of luck. No wonder ford is going under! anyway, that's my issue. Please advise.

After car inspected and several repairs completed on my 1994 lincoln continental, executive series in good condition, the engine was blown and the dealership stated to trade-in the vehicle.

Passenger power door lock failed, necessitating passenge to roll down car widow to use exterior door handle to get out. Driver side door lock soon failed in exact same manner.

Door handles can be broken into with a screw driver due to the used of plastic. Ord super duty trucksshould have metal door latches.

When towing boat in hot weather the transmission started leaking from rear seal. Truck was taken to dealer 3 times to remedy problem.have not towed boat since so not sure if it will return. *la

Transmission failure at 14000 milestransmimssion was replaced.fuel pump replaced at 14500 miles.transmisson replaced second time at 21000 miles. Lcd dashboard features never worked properly, serviced twice for the problem never resolved.

2001 ford explorer sport, i have changed my brakes 3 times in one year.when i brake, it squeaks, very slow to stop, and shift to either side.any bump will make the vehicle lose control, esp when traveling greater than 45 miles per hour.. True hazard.

My steering column locks up and will not allow me to turn the car on.i drove my car to work no problem when i came out i could not get the key to turn in the ignition.the steering wheel is locked and will not move thereby not allowing me to trun the car on

*sb
