As i type this complaint, i am listening to secretary lahood,....if what he says is true i should hear something back from you fairly soon!! i have a complaint with the v10 ford engine.....if you go to the internet and type in "ford v10 engine spark plug ejecting" or anything similar to that inquiry you will get a host of complaints about the problems that i am experiencing. My 1997 ford (motorhome) spit out a spark plug several month ago. Called ford, they suggested that i have my mechanic install an "insert" to repair the stripped out head or replace the heads.....offered no other help. The insert "fix cost" $1,000.new heads would have cost $3,000 each. Work would be guaranteed for a whopping "90 days". I opted for the $1,000. Fix. After the fix, my wife (fighting lung cancer) and i (retired air force-military) headed to florida from michigan. We made it to indianapolis....approx 350 miles. The newly repaired "head insert" allowed theplug to spit out again!! long story short, we returned home and had a new engine (remanufactured) engine installed at a cost of $5,000. My military pension cannot afford these kind ofmonetary hits. I am also told that this problem could have easily caused a fire. We were lucky in that regard. Ford reps, both at the dealership level and ford customer service (their phone # located in the ford service manually) denied any problems....yet the internet is full of complaints. Please tell me you are aware of the problem and are trying to find some recourse for the ford customers who have experienced the problems and expense that i have. All the mechanics that i have talked to were very familiar with the problem. That only adds to my dismay. Why hasn't there been more public info on this problem....why hasn't this problem been addressed by ford motor co.or at least fairlyhandled on a case by case basis. At the very least, i would appreciate some recognition that your agency is aware and looking into this problem. Thank you so much!

Thank you for your timely investigation into the unsafe conditions of the 2007 fleetwood terra lx motorhome i currently own. First is the direct positioning of the exhaust pipe under the fuel fill. Fleetwood owner relations in no way sees this as a potential safety hazard and refuses to address this dangerous engineering defect.however, this same exact model, 6 month later is now being produced with the exhaust exiting correctly from the opposite side. Secondly, due to a different manufacturing defect, fleetwood had to 'modify' the fuel filler neck and vent line because it would not take fuel.imagine my surprise when i saw their repair was held together by zip ties and thin metal straps.this is secured in no way like the original configuration.given the fatigue prone materials used in the manufacturer's repair, i now question the safety of the fuel delivery system.when this repair fails, possibly while being driven, fuel will be thrown everywhere under the coach for miles.did i mention this patch work repair is directly over the exhaust pipe?please ensure these unsafe conditions are addressed by fleetwood before someone is injured or killed.

The contact owns a 1990 fleetwood tioga.on april 14, 2007 her spousenoticed that there was ammonia leaking from the refrigerator into the refrigerator cabinet.as a resultthe door burned, he suffered burns on his skin, face and his nasal passage.the manufacturer stated that there was nothing that they could do since the warranty expired.the failure mileage was 75,100.

My fridge does not run due to this recall. How can i make dometic repair our fridge for us. Seems this is the reason the fridge does not work. Here is approx what the recall states. Let me know what recourse we can take to have dometic fix this or replace the model.recall notice from dometic:refrigerators manufactured between apri 1997 and may 2003 for installation in recreational vehicles.the problem: a fatigue crack can develop in the boiler tube of the identified refrigerators, which can permit the release of pressurized coolant solution.if this solution is exposed to an ignition source under certain specific circumstances, it can result in a vehicle fire.affected units: ... The following model numbers: ndr1062, rm2652, rm2662, rm2663, rm2852, rm2862, rm3662, rm3663, rm3862, rm3863.the possibly affected units have serial numbers beginning with the following combinations:"if you own one of the above units, it requires immediate service and continuing use could pose a potential safety hazard."advises that if your refrigerator model and serial number are among the above that you call 1-888-446-5157 or go to www.dometicusa.com to confirm if your refrigerator is affected by the recall.turn the refrigerator off immediately if you notice any of the following indicators:leakage or staining at the back of the refrigerator.yellow residue at the back or sides of the refrigerator.the smell of ammonia.refrigerator does not properly cool.any unit found to have one or more of the characteristics mentioned above must be shut down and not operated until the unit is fixed and the recall rework administered. For any unit that does fall within the recall population, but does not exhibit any of the four indicators mentioned in #1, consider the following:do not operate your refrigerator on lp gas. Switching to electric power lowers the incident rate associated with lp gas.

Dt: the front end of the body of the 5th wheelunit broke.the bolts that held the body to the framebroke orsheared off under pressure while driving with the trailer in tow.while driving there was a piece of material sliding out of the trailer unit.the consumer pulled over to check anddiscovered the front end had opened up nearly 3 inches, and first thought the frame was the problem.the consumer continued to drive slowly and watched this carefully.the vehicle was driven to a dealer and there the unit was opened, and took apart the nose piece off the trailer and noted boltsbroke off.the dealer called the manufacturer, who offered no remedy.the consumer call customer service, and they said it was not their problem.the warranty expired, and they had no recalls or complaints on that trailer.the dealer replaced the all of the broken bolts with a larger size bolts.this was just completed, and the consumer has not picked up the trailer yet.the dealer stated that the problem was solved if these larger bolts worked.this is made by fleetwood, prowler.*sc

Safety glass issue with a 2017 fleetwood bounder 35k.the safety glass on the drivers and passenger side windows seems to be delaminating.the windows are turning white when in the sun and you can not see out or use the sideview mirrors.

Conatct received an artical in the magazine called highways magazine by sams good club jan 2007 edtion. Stating that the cooling system was out and could possibly catch fire. Advised everyone that has this equipment to call in and have it recalled.

The rear leveling jacks on my 2005 32' southwind hang below the departure angle of the vehicle.i hit them at least twice causing serious damage to the jacks and costing me significant repair costs.this happens when i go over speed bumps in campgrounds, cross gutters in intersections and entering and leaving driveways.

I am the owner of a 2015 fleetwood bounder 35k. I've encountered a problem with the emergency egress windows (2 of 3) in the coach, where the metal closing mechanism detaches from the window glass. The windows are manufactured by hehr and installed on numerous fleetwood rv products.once detached, the window must be taped shut to prevent water ingress into the coach, eliminating the use of the egress window for its intended emergency exit function. This is the only solution, pending some type of repair.i've made numerous calls to various auto glass installers, fleetwood (rev group) and an hehr distributor with none being able to provide a workable, viable solution to the problem. I've attempted to repair the problem with suggestions from rv internet groups, but short of the original adhesive (which no one can identify) repairs are temporary at best.i contend that hehr (window manufacturer) and fleetwood rev group have produced a substandard rv egress window that places the rv owners in jeopardy. I further suggest that this issue extends far beyond just fleetwood products but likely includes manufacturers across the rv industry that use hehr rv egress windows.*dt*dtconsumer stated the entire latch detached from the window. At that point the latch could be completely removed. Had i not discovered it, the entire latch mechanism could have fallen out while driving.*dt*dt*dt *as

The hitch that is factory installed broke away from the rv due to it not being properly welded to the frame. Our jeep broke completely away from the rv while we were driving the vehicle. We had a certified welder repair the rv and we also have pictures of the defective weld. We have attempted to work this out with fleetwood since the incident, but they keep giving us the runaround. They say the welder was a subcontactor for the factory and they will need to contact them. This was last year and they still will not return our calls.
