The contact called owns a fastec lock/latch aftermarket part.the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number 13e039000 (equipment, latches/locks/linkages) early february 2014.the contact spoke with a representative for the company, who indicated that the replacement part would be mailed at a later date. The contact did not receive the replacement part and was unable to contact the manufacturer at this point regarding the recall.
This is for recall #13e039 - a deadbolt for rvs that can accidentally lock someone inside. The manufacturer promised to send out replacements months ago, but so far, i have not received one.the manufacturer is fastec.

The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number 13e039000 (equipment, latches/locks/linkages) in february 2014. The contact was informed by a representative for the company that the part would be mailed in june of 2014. The contact was concerned because he was not able to have the defect remedied within a reasonable time frame, the part was never received and the company was unable to be contacted. Consumer writes in regards to defective vehicle door lock recall notice and seeks reimbursement for repairs.the consumer and his wife became locked inside of their travel trailer, due to the fact, the door lock failed. Luckily, the consumer had adequate tools to disassemble the lock and get out. In september 2013, the consumer received a recall notice indicating the replacement lock that was sent to him was defective and needed to be replaced. ( fastec recall)
