The ignition switch will not allow me to take the key out. It is still in the on position. The windows will not go up. The engine light is on.the service airbag light is on.the service tiremonitor system light is on and i just took it to the shop last week for the fourth time for these same problems.we've only had the car 5 months and this cointinues to be a problem.

I have a dodge durango 2001.i notice that the water pump is in the middle of the electric wires and when the water pump broke the waterruins the electric wires and they have to be changed because it starts to short circuit and the water can go to the motor and the motor can die.
Electrical fire under the steering column, wiring harness replaced, and problems with the steering wheel.*mrthe vehicle is equipped with emc ds2000 adaptive steering and emc egb.while driving the vehicle's failure alarms constantly sounded.on one occasion the system malfunction and caused an accident.on another occasion the vehicle caught on fire under the steering column.on both occasions the dealer replaced the wiring harness.the driver continued to have problems with the steering wheel.the dealer determined that the gear train of the encoders were damaged.both encoder gears as well as the encoder assembly were replaced.
