We cannot schedule this repair until we receive their kit. First they said the refrigerator is safe on electric power, now their website says it is not. No information and no repair kits available yet, what is a consumer expected to do? how can they announce a recall and provide no timely remedy? please help, we leave on 3/17.

Contacted dometic an they said they cannot help me with a replacement cooling unit , because the refer is out of warranty. Well the recall went out on june 2007 and my rv is a2003. They warranty there refers. For three years. So i am out 1500.00 dollars to replace the cooling unit. Nice call on dometic to have a recall after the warranty is up.

My family smelled ammonia coming from our camper during a camping trip last summer.after we got home and called the rv shop, it was determined that our dometic rv refrigerator was leaking.they told us to turn off the gas valve on the refrigerator and not use the camper until it's fixed.after we took our camper in to the rv repair shop, they told us we would need to replace the entire refrigerator, so we did.however, our model-rm2551 (serial #921-14-20-16)-is not listed on the rv dometic refrigerator recall letter we recently got in the mail.we feel that it should have been included because it obviously developed a fatigue crack in the boiler tube and leaked ammonia and put my family in danger.we feel that dometic should reimburse us for the cost of the new rv refrigerator we were forced to purchase.thank you. This complaint it related to dometic recall nhtsarecall campaign id 06e076000.while no fire occurred thedometic refrigerator, model# ndr 1062, serial number 44303040 failed with the same failure as the refrigerators that was mentioned in the recall.the coolant was released from a failure in the refrigerant plumbing system which could have resulted in a fire.

Recieved a recall notice nhtsa recall #07v423000 whent to look tosee if our equipment was part of the recall and it isn't. But it has the exact problem describede in the notice. Dometic fridge rm 7732ser. 6460011.
