Nhtsa campaign id no. 08t018000three tire valves failed in the last three months. Two within 24 hrs..service station honored purchased waranty dated 2/2/2008 and replaced all four valve stems.in possesion of recall information, i requested a sample of the failed valves and identified sample as dill tr418.

The contact owns a 2003 gmc sierra equipped with komoto tires and dill-acp tr-418 valve stems. The contact stated that the vehicle abnormally lost air in the rear passenger side tire. The vehicle was taken to an independent tire shop where it was diagnosed that the tire was not damaged, but the tire stem was defective and needed to be replaced. The stems in each tire were replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
