2007 cadillac sts bought as a demo in florida in april, with about 3,500 miles on it:i told the salesman that this was going to be used exclusively at my connecticut address and i would be driving it there shortly after purchase.my complaints are first with the conditions of sale in florida, and subsequently, with the failure to repair issues both in florida and now connecticut.i bought the vehicle with the agreement that it would be made 'as new as possible.'this was to include a new battery (since it was dead in the showroom), the oil would be changed, and all the door and dash scuffs would be removed. The battery has finally been replaced here after failing twice, the scuffs they fixed in florida keep coming right back on the doors and dash, and i just paid for the oil change that never took place for the sale.the day i drove the car off, the salesman indicated they 'topped it off.'it was into service at least three times within the first weeks of ownership in florida.it has already been in for service three days here in connecticut,my last visit to service was for two days, and nothing was done or solved.the voice command system just doesn't work properly.it continues to hear me incorrectly, or hears/repeats me correctly but then does not do what it says.as you use the wheel button to progress through the six presets and go back to the first, it skips over the first and sometimes the second button.to make matters worse, the volume periodically takes off with increasing loudness uncontrollably.in any case, they tell me that corporate is aware of the voice problems and has been trying to come up with a software fix.to my thinking, this is an '07 and they haven't come up with a fix for it yet?if it hasn't been fixed yet, it is not going to happen late in '08 and they claim i am not alone with these issues!

I own a 2006 toyota corolla le, and in november 2009 my check engine like lit up. I took my car to the toyota dealership in mons, belgium. It turns out there is a problem with the pressure control solenoid. I am stationed in england, so i decided to take my care to the dealership there. However, they will not work on my car because it is us specification. So, now i am having issues with trying to work with the dealership in belgium to get my car fixed.

Electrical system problem on the 1999 volkswagen beetle:during the last (4) weeks, daughters beetle stopped running on (2) major highways, and one-time a side street near my home.the 1st auto shop stated that i had a bad alternator & a bad battery.than, 1 week later, the new alternator blew and the same mechanic had the original alternator re-built stating it was the harness! than, it stopped running on my road near my home. A 2nd auto shop told me to take it toe vw dealer and that is where it is now!i have paid $640 so-far & have used my aaa for towing 3x's!

(1)car would not start on the first try on several occasions(2)car would not start & battery could not be jump-started - battery acid & corrosion were all over the positive post engine wire(3) had car towed to mechanic who replaced battery & installed separate connectors to the positive post wire(old battery not available).

I noted that a small puddle of fluid formed under my wife's car in the garage. So i started looking for the cause. I noted that the battery tray was wet and i had the charging system checked for an overcharge condition. I then spoke witha dealership about why a perfectly good battery would just start leaking acid all over the inside of the engine compartment, on the paint and mechanicals. I mean the car was in mint condition but now had acid running down inside the left side of the engine compartment and the wheel well. I was told via the dealer that delco had a known problem with its batteries and that dealers were warranty the situation under 36,000 miles. But because my vehicle had over 36,000 miles , i then i checked you site for a notice of recall and found none. I then went to a part store who told me that he has had customers who were stranded with batteries that had the positive battery post just fall off. So i checked my vehicle and you guessed it the negative post was tight but the positive post was nearly eaten away from the inside. I can not believe that delco would not stand behind this issue and that the nhtsa would not do an investigation to determine how many others have been subject to this.repair was completed by purchasing a non delco battery, by cleaning and repairing any damage to the car and my garage floor, from the acid. Jr.

Ac delco battery failed prematurely, positive battery terminal rotted. Gm technicians know of the problem, but refuse to refund amount of battery.

Saturn would not warranty.delco's72 mo. Warranty does not apply to batteries in new vehicles. Within warranty, the delco battery positive terminal leaked acid, eating battery cables (+) and spilling onto frame. The dealer replaced the battery with a new delco battery, replaced/repaired cables, cleaned, repaired and painted the frame area.recently the new battery started leaking at the positive pole again, destroying the cable lugs and spilling onto the battery holder.the dealer would not repair and stated that the delco side post batteries frequently have this problem.i believe this is a safety issue because the vehicle will stop in traffic and damage to cables require expensive repair out of warranty.the delco problem is not a normal wear event, but should be treated as a battery defect and replaced. My vehicle is a 1998 chev. 2500 silverado 4x drive ext. Cab.

Complaint covers sat oct 9th thru 10-14 2004radio malfunctioning-1)took vehicle to jonesboro rd gmc dealer and complaint about radio first.digital display showing one station and playing another. The panel gets very hot . Radio was showing issue at the time. Mark service advisor reached inside vehicle and began to press the buttons.they refused to document my radio problem at the jonesboro dealership. I called back and spoke to mark about documentation. He said he couldn't because the tech didn't see it. I advised him that he did andi asked him why did he push any buttons. At marietta, my truck had radio replaced twice duringthis week due to malfunction. 2) abs braking failure, normal soft braking, truck will swerve to side and then correct itself, roll forward and then stop. Was told this is normal braking for abs. Was duplicated at dealership but they have tried to minimize problem (team pontiac, gmc jonesboro rd of union city ga) they did document issue3) emergency brake ) light not working when depressing emergency brake pedal. Illuminated during start of truck however didn't work when depressing pedal .marietta pontiac gmcrepaired issue. Can now depress emergency brake and it will light up . See previous notes,to date, my truck has had since purchase 12/29/20041) new battery, headlight bulb , daytime running light bulb , turn signal switch, new radio 1,2,3,4.new o2 sensor, fuel pump, (lost power on interstate) abs issues, my truck just isn't safe. At 80,000 miles myintake manifold leaked antifreeze into my engine. This engine was replaced and the new engine done the same thing. Something needs to be done with this. The first engine was the original olds 88 engine. The second one was the series ll engine. I almost got hit when the car stalled. Both of the mechanics involved stated they see this happens all the time. Something needs to be done.

Rotors on the vehicle have been replaced and resurfaced several times during the warranty period. I have reported two cases to pontiac and thye will not take responsibility for the failures even though this is clearly a consistant failure on the firebird model across several years. Warp rotors continue to be a problem.

Head lamps. The head lamps that are now being installed vehicle are much to bright. I know this is a safely item but has to be address. They should not be used on trucks and suvs . They are to high for these kind of bulbs. They are blinding people even on low beam .even on some cars they are to bright. Something should be done about this,it is not safe . I do not have a problem at night when i am driving and other people have the same concern. I hope others are complaning aboutthis problem

On wednesday june 23, 2004, i went to red holman pontiac to replace a hub and bearing assembly on the front left wheel of my gmc jimmy 2000. A grinding and metallic noise was coming from the front of the vehicle and i had to have done at the dealer. Two years ago, this same hub and bearing assembly was replaced at 48000 miles. Now, this vehicle has 75000 miles and i have to replace the right hub and bearing assembly. This means that this part only lasted 48000 miles and the replacement part less than 27000 miles. On both instances, there was also a failure of the abs brake system. I have owned over the years more than 11 gm cars with various mileages at trading time and i never had to replace a bearing. When the first replacement assembly was put in, the dealer told me that it was a hazard and for the other wheel, the dealer acknowledged the fact that it is a safety hazard on my invoiceif these parts pose a threat to the safety of gmc owners, why is gmc installing parts with material defects? i was also informed that the replacement part carries only a 12000 miles warranty and the price is about $460 and labor $124.00. Luckily, the first repair was under warranty, but this time i had to negotiate with the dealer and i had to pay $284.00.i believe that these parts should last longer since there is neither maintenance nor any facility to disassemble the unit. I see no fault with the dealer; rather i see a manufacturer defective product.this repair should have been the gmc responsibility due to the short life span of this product.sincerely, claude durand

Tailgate cables rusted through. Tailgate was put in upright position and the tailgate came off of the truck being dragged by a decent cable. Caused damage to the side of the tailgate as well as the hinges that once held it.*la

Central multiport fuel injector assembly failed, causing fuel to enter the oil pan anddamage the motor. Fuel was spraying under the phlenem and could have caused a fire. Steering making noise after both power steering pump and steering rack began leaking fluid.dealership has replaced power steering pump (4 times) and power steering rack (4 times), but grinding noise persists.dealership has been very accommodating and has assigned three different technicians in an attempt to solve this problem.after reading other complaints on this site, i now understand why dealership has been unable to fix this problem after repeated attempts.i am now concerned about my safety while driving the vehicle.i am also concerned if the problem can ever be fixed. *la

I have an 2001 s-10 extended cab 4x4 truck.i have had to have this truck towed 4 times & 4 or 5 fuel pumps put in also a wire that goes to fuel pump & a new gas cap also. I bought this truck in june of 06 & drove it 3 days before the first break down. It was down for 2 months. The place of purchase led me to believe that the truck was in perfect condition with no problems or any wrecks. When the truck was towed to a chevy dealership for repair it cost over 500$ just in labor alone not to mention the cost of the fuel pumps & full diagnostics. I am still having problems with the gas tank. When i fill the truck up it runs out the top of the tank itself under the bed of my truck . Isn't this a danger to my safety ? the chevy dealership doesn't want to stand by their work now so i'm stuck with a deadly vehicle. I plan to file any complaint i can & if possible i will get it on the news as well. Within a few hours of my buying this junk the auto dealer where i bought it sold my contract to a finance company so now the dealer is not responsible for the things that were & are bad. The truck bed only had 1 bolt holding the whole bed on& the gas tank only had 1 strap on 1 side holding the gas tank up... The finance company won't help with this problem either. I have been researching this type of truck & have found that way to many people have the same problems as i do when it comes to the gas tank & fuel pump. Shouldn't someone be held liable for this problem ? would the makers of the s-10 truck allow their kids or family to ride in a truck that could possibly one day cause their death ? when a gas tank leaks fuel from the tank under the truck what would happen if at a stop light someone throws a cigarette out & it hits the gas that's leaked out ? my opinion the truck would blow up. If there is anyone who can tell me where to complain i'd be ever so grateful for that info. Cathy in ky.

We have replaced the fuel pump 3 times. It has caused us to miss work several days, and put our jobs at risk. We have been out money for towing, parts and labor twice. The third time it failed, it was just past the parts warranty for a grand total of $1950.00. We have to continue to take it back to firestone to be replaced and make our lives miserable.

Many new cars are being equipped with 'high intensity' headlamps (some referred to as xenon or hallogen).these are too bright!they produce a lot of glare, make it impossible to see beyond the glare where pedestrians, motorcycles or other cars may be obscured.at night, suvs or other 'raised elevation' vehicles have these bright lights directly in my rear-view and/or side mirrors, blinding me entirely.if i adjust the mirrors to prevent the light from shining into my eyes i cannot see into those areas around my car.in addition to the lamps themselves, some vehicles have lenses that focus the light into a tight beam.was this done to reduce the glare?if so, it's a failure!the intensity of this focused beam is so bright, the glare is secondary - the light hurts.this is brighter than the 'high beam' settings on most cars - and we're not allowed to drive around with those shining into peoples' eyes!

Re: windshield wiper motor failure on my 1997 chevrolet s-10 blazer. I was informed that a recall was issued last year on s-10s for wiper motor failure, that you had to have the vehicle with less than 70,000 miles on it.i had 72,000 miles, therefore did not qualify for a recall. Since that time i have been having more and more trouble with the wipers quitting in time of rain and other times. I think gm should replace them no matter what the mileage is. It is becoming very hazardous these days, not knowing when they willwork or not. Many times i have to get out of my vehicle and get under the hood and jiggle the wires to the motor, which is very annoying.i bought my vehicle new in 97 and was well pleased until this happened.i have come close to having accidents in the rain when they fail.thank you.

The rotors on my 1999 chevrolet malibu have to be replaced at least once every 6 months.i have spoke with many malibu owners and they have the same problem as i do. So why is there no recall on this problem?

On sunday, august 29, 2004 my son & i were traveling in the city of madison, wisconsin in a speed zone of 30 mph.all of a sudden my car lost power & died in a busy intersection.i thought it might be the battery.so i shut off the engine & tried starting it again - it continued to not start back up;however, we started smelling gas & we couldn't get out of the car due to traffic all around us.finally a police officer came & asked us to immediately get out of the car - there was gas pouring out all over the road.it appeared that the fuel pump was malfunctioning.in december 2003 i had the recall of the fuel pump replaced at the dealership.however, the police officer indicated that it appeared to be the fuel pump because every time you turned the ignition - gas started pouring out.i had my car towed at my expense of $84.00 to the dealership.i also lost a full tank of gas which cost me $17.00.i called the dealership & they directed me to ford custmer relations.i spoke with an anthony on 08/30/04 @ 7:22am (cst).he indicated that the fuel pump could be replaced again that it was a warranty by ford.however, when i asked about the other expenses of towing, rental car (currently without a car & cannot go to work) , replacement of gas lost - he said ford does not have any way of reimbursing these.the customer service person indicated that was nothing that ford could do about this.my great concern is that my son & i inhaled a lot of gas fumes - we could have been blown up in the car (according to the police officer) - and ford is not be helpful in this matter at all.i feel that the 2000 ford focus is not a safe car to drive.plus i there is another recall for the coil on the car & you can't get this replaced because the coils will not be released until december 2004.this seems not responsible of the ford motor company at all.

Failure and lost of control of windshield wiper and washer system. Note numerous incidents have occurred. Components have been replaced by consumer three times. This is not a vibration or poor solder problem. This is a known design problem and is very dangerous. G.m. Is manipulating the nhtsa and not taking responsibility for a known design flaw. This failure has caused me to depart the roadway on several occasions resulting in property damage. The date reflected is the most recent of many incidents.*la
