Tl - the contact owns a dei 550esp after market remote start unit installed in a 2000 toyota tundra. The contact stated that he noticed that the parking and brake lights failed. The contact mentioned that he replaced the the fuses to both the parking and brake lights. After replacing the fuses, the contact started the vehicle and the parking and brakes light illuminated but failed within 5 minutes. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic where it was diagnosed that the remote start unit needed to be removed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The remote start unit was removed from the vehicle. The approximate failure and current mileage was 200,000. Dr
Same electrical cut off problems. Constant burning wire smell. Defrost knobs, and high med low knob stays on low or high, or nothing. Knobs and motors have been replaced 1 time. Different dealers in chicagoland and central il say there is nothing wrong nor any recalls that have to do with this.
