I was informed via a dealer that a recall of a helmet i had purchased from them was in effect. I received that e-mail in june of this year, sent the helmet back to the manufacturer and to this day have not received a replacement.

I purchased a $120 carbon fiber motorcycle helmet on a website. In november i received a recall notice which said i should send the helmet back to dealer leather which i did. After several months went by i called them and they told me i did not buy the helmet there and that they would not replace it or reimburse me.

Recall for motorcycle helmet received in april 2008, returned helmet for exchange in june 2008. No action taken by manufacturer. Does not return recent calls concerning recall status.

The contact is a distributor of helmets, manufactured by dealer leather 100 series.the contact called the manufacturer in reference to nhtsa campaign id number 08e024000 (equipment:motorcycle:helmets) to have the failure remedied.he has not yet received a response and has left several messages.the serial number, part number, purchase date, and location in the vehicle were not applicable.

The contact owns a dealerleather 100 series black gloss half helmet.the contact received a safety recall notice on june 13, 2008 and returned the helmet to dealerleather per their request.he has not yet heard back from dealerleather.the contact called dealerleather and was informed that they did not have the replacement helmets at that time.the contact referenced nhtsa campaign id number 08e024000 (equipment:motorcycle:helmets).updated 10/20/08.*ljupdated 10/21/08.

Can not get manufacturer to respond to recall campaign 08e024000.i have 2 helmets that i believe have been recalled under the dealer leather series 100 recall.dealer leather will not respond to e-mail or telephone calls.

The contact owns a dealerleather 100 series silver rose helmet.the contact received a recall notice, which stated that she should send the helmet back to the manufacturer for an exchange.the manufacturer was called on several occasions and they stated that they were waiting for customs to ship the helmets.she is unhappy with the remedy because she mailed the helmet back to the manufacturer in june of 2008, but has not received an exchange.the serial number, part number, nhtsa campaign id number, and purchase date were unknown.updated 02/05/09 the consumer stated he has since received a new helmet. Convertible top and latch clips defective.pillars break while driving at maximum freeway speeds and releases roof, dangerously jeopardizing occupants and other drivers.comes loose with little wind exposure.also, back window of convertible top distorts view while top is up.obstructing rear view for driver is a safety issue if rear window material does not remain clear and causes a blind sense of judgment.roll bar missing from auto manual specs.safety is clearly problem here.faulty design by manufacturer.
