I purchased a tu flo 550 manufactured by bendix commercial on 10/4/11. I installed it the same day. I road tested my vehicle for about 50 miles and everything appeared to operate normally. On 10/7/11 i proceeded to take a trip to clevelend, oh. About 250 miles into my trip my vehicle caught fire, rendering it inoperable due to extensive damage. On 10/8/11 i had my vehicle towed to a repair facility about 30 miles away in fredricksburg, va. On 10/19/11 i was notified that the cause of the fire was duean explosion by the air compressor during normal operation. It caused several thousand dollars in damages, and despite my repeated requests, bendix has failed to examine my vehicle as to verify my assertion of the facts of this event. They have taken a defensive stance, and have become hostile in dealing with my claim.
