I own a 1993 jeep grand cherokee limited.engine computer bought 9/03/07 from advance auto zone. Installed 9/04/07 by thompsons'in marquette. Mi. Jeep broke down december 17,2008. 1st engine computer bought from carquest 2/04/09. Installed 2/06/09 by tompsons'(defective) price $357.97. Returned the part. I ordered from advance auto zone 2/09/09. Installed by thompson's 2/10/09. Check engine light will not light up/ jeep will not run. Price $213.99. My mechanic asked me to make sure the engine computer numbers match. They did. Carquest informed me there is a national recall on the engine computer & it can take up to 6 months to get me a part.i need my vehicle running. I can't afford to buy a vehicle right now.i need alot of advice. Please help!
