There was a recall for 2007 kia sedona regarding 2007 kia sedona recall, item affected: exterior lighting:brake lights:switch, date announced: 4/17/2009, affecting vehicles made 9-20-2006 thru 11-20-2006, however my vehicle was made 11-28-2006, everything on the recalls describes what my vehicle was experiencing.(the stop lamp switch in the affected vehicles may malfunction. A malfunctioning stop lamp switch may cause the brake lights to not illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed or may cause the brake lights to remain illuminated when the brake pedal is released. It may also cause the electronic stability control (esc) malfunction light to illuminate, and it may not deactivate the cruise control when the brake pedal is depressed.)kia customer service said they would not cover my problem because they stated it was fixed with the previous models and all models manf. After 11-20-2006. They advised me to file a complaint with you.

Brake lights not working, brake switch was recalled & then the recall was recalled. Resulting in no brake lights at all.

My 2001 pontiac grand prix gt has had problems with the car stalling and dying without warning. It is very random. Typically, the car hesitates/stalls then the "tcs off" light comes on and the rpm meter hits 0. I have twice changed the catalytic converter because of this problem at the pontiac dealer's suggestion.the problem still exist. What can be done as my car will shut off at any speed and will not restart immediately. This is a safety issue that needs to be addressed. What can i do to get this defective condition fixed or repaired properly? does any other 2001 models have this problem?

In april 2011, my jeep went in for service at herb chambers. There were safety recalls that needed to be fixed and i expressed my concern to the service associate about my parking brake being loose and not properly adjusted. When i returned to the dealership the diagnosis i received from the service associate was that a massachusetts registered safety inspector examined my parking brake and it was functioning properly. In may 2011, approximately a month after my vehicle was in for service, i parked my vehicle in its parking spot at my house and when i returned to my vehicle five minutes later it had rolled into the woods. When the jeep rolled into the woods it hit three trees resulting in the rear passenger side fender ripping off. When i contacted customer service at jeep they stated i needed to file a claim through my insurance company and there was nothing they could assist me with. A claim was filed through my insurance company and chrysler company. Currently the jeep is being repaired through my insurance company. I feel that once the body work is complete on my jeep the mechanical parts of the jeep will still be defective. I am concerned that the parking brake will fail again and could significantly damage property or a bystander. Chrysler sent out a private contractor, hank sullivan, who inspected the parking brake. When requested to be on site of his investigation of my vehicle my requested was denied. Once his investigation was complete i requested paperwork to verify he examined my vehicle and for a copy of the results for my own file, that request was also denied. Approximately a month later, i am still awaiting a letter from chrysler with details from hank's investigation. I received a phone call from chrysler stating that they found nothing wrong with my vehicle. I feel that i have been discriminated against due to my age i left several messages for the special claims department at chrysler and never received a phone call back. Only once i got one back.

On july 12, 2010, i took our 2007 honda odyssey) mel rapton honda for the brake recall requested by honda america.i was called at 12:20 p.m. By your service department and advised that the vehicle was ready to be picked up.at 2:00 p.m., i arrived, picked up the vehicle and proceeded to maita toyota to pick up my husband where he was having our toyota serviced.as i approached the very first stop light at fulton and the entrance to i-80, i applied the brakes and with my foot pressed completely to the floor and the vehicle did not stop.i ran the stop light, and was very fortunate that i did not hit anyone.at the second light i came upon at auburn and fulton was green and i made a right hand turn into the toyota dealership where i once again could not stop the vehicle and hit the concrete parking barrier, scratching the front right bumper.i promptly called my husband and informed him i thought something was wrong with the vehicle, but was not sure what to do since my assumption was the brakes were fully inspected and functional prior to me leaving mel rapton honda.i called back to mel rapton service department, leaving a message for the service advisor anthony motley that something was not right with my brakes.the service advisor called me back asking that i drive the car back to mel rapton, even though i stated i believed that i had no functional brakes beyond the emergency brake.i cauiously drove the vehicle back, i had to apply the emergency brakes twice in order stop the vehicle and avoid running any more red lights or hitting other vehicles.i was shocked that your service advisor suggested that i drive the vehicle back to the dealership when there was some problem with the braking system.the vsa modulator light came on as i drove the vehicle back. They said they "repaired" the vsa and brakes, but never the damage to the front of the vehicle, mel rapton refuses to respond to requests for repairs and honda america isn't helping.

When coming to a stop light i was applying my brakes to stop behind a vehicle, brakes went to the floor, causing an accident. Vehicle was taken to the dealer. All brake component were checked,no currenttechnical service bulletins and contacted technical assistant.dealer was unable to duplicate the problem.

The contact owns a 1998 ford contour.the contact purchased brakesafe front disc pads for the vehicle.approximately 30 miles later, a grinding and rattling noise was heard and an outer lining on the padding fell off.the contact took the vehicle to the mechanic and was informed that the pads were defective.he purchased new pads, which he felt worked as they should have.he attempted to call the auto parts store from where he purchased the defective pads, but they would not assist.he also called the corporate office and received no assistance.the contact filed complaints with the federal trade commission and ohio attorney general.the serial number and part number were unknown.the current mileage was 135,000 and failure mileage was 134,970.updated 06/25/08.the consumer stated passenger side caliper was warped and the rotor was damaged. Updated 06/25/08

My compliant is that i was backing my car up and the front brakes locked up specifically the right front.the car would not move. You could smell burning and see smoke from the right front wheel.i had to have the car towed to my mechanic. After extensive work on the car we found out that the brake caliper piston would not retract into the caliper, after the mechanic reassembled the car, he found out the right caliper would not bleed out, after extensive testing the conclusion was reached no fluid would come out of the port on the hydraulic control unit to that wheel. Replacement of the hcu and module assembly was necessary.my car was towed to the mechanics on 2-06-2003 and was finally finished on 2-20-2003. The delay in getting the car finished was because it was the contour svt model 1998, changes in the brake parts had been made and were not easy to obtain. The ford dealer did not have the parts needed to complete the job they had to be ordered. I have all the parts that were pulled off the car. Also letter from my mechanic.

I have tons of problems with my 1998 dodge ram 2500 diesel pick up truck.the brakes chronically fail to work, then lock up or catch on the second attempt. Had a bad sensor according to dodge, and it was replaced less than a year ago.i nearly ran into an 18 wheeler when the truck failed to stop at 4 way crossing.i had it worked on then and was told that a seal was leaking fluid and it wet the brake pads and caused them to to "slip".i am having problems again this week and was told by my mechanic to see if the brake system had been recalled. He thinks the power surge has is faulty and fails at times and not others!also my parking brake doesn't prevent vehicle from moving when in use in drive or reverse!

I have a 2006 infiniti qx56 with 46,000 mile on it, and my brakes failed on me approximately 4 times already, but just coming out of a drive way or backing up from a parking lot, i would have to turn off the truck and turn it back on for the brakes to function normal again. When it failed and i pressed on the brake i noticed the brake light on the dash would turn on and i would hear grinding noise from the brakes and it seems as the pads are barley grabbing the rotors. It been a scary experience for me and my family. It my family truck and i have a wife and 4 kids. I was also told it could be the brake booster and it needs to be replaced, there should be a recall on these for the nissan armadas and infiniti qx56.

I have 2002 ford windstar the abs light and brake light was lit, and not the only ones, i living in bc canada.

The braking on my 2010 toyota corolla le seems to be defective. When approaching any type of change in the road surface that requires me to put my foot lightly on the brake a vibration and weird feeling in the brake pedal take place. It's startling when it happens. My wife has experienced it from the passenger side and is afraid to drive it. I've expressed my concern to the dealership. They say it's normal. Very concerned about the safety of this car . I bought a toyota for it's safety and reliability so far i'm very disappointed.

The breakaway switch was pulled out of the tow vehicle, thereby locking up the brakes on that vehicle, causing sever damage to that vehicle.the alarm system installed on the dash board of the motor home was a small red light located on the extreme left hand side that was not visible when the sun shown in on it. Thereby the vehicle was towed many miles before it was discovered.it wpuld be more practical to install the light in the center of the dash where it could be better observered by one or more people, or install a audiable alarm.

Brake lights not working, brake switch was recalled & then the recall was recalled. Resulting in no brake lights at all.

I own a 2003 honda accord lx model. I have started to have some brake problem with my car from 7,000 miles. At that time my dealer told me that my brake rotors need to be realigned, and which they did. Then again at 15,000 miles i noticed that when i apply brakes at 60mph my car vibrates and on wet roads it slips/skids. This also happens on curves at speed of 30 mph in wet conditions. Rosenthal honda at tysons corner in virginia has been working on this since started happening at 15,000 miles. They told me that they need to resurface my rotors and replace my pads and that the problem will be gone. I ask them to proceed with it and now the problem came up again at 18,000 miles. Rosenthal again resurface the rotars and told me the problem has been fixed. Today at 20,000 miles the same problem comes up. Rosenthal & honda are telling me that there is no problem but i know that my brakes are not working right and not the way hoinda has designed it to work. I do not know what to do and where to go. I really have great confidence in you and expect that you help me out of this issue.

Aggressive braking system on 2010 f150 4 x 4.ford deems this to be a normal characteristic with this vehicle but according to their ssm 21458 it states that only some f150 are affected. It also states in the ssm that it can get worst before it gets better. When braking it feels like you hit the front brakes on a bike. I had two dealers look at this problem but with this ssm it states that they can not perform any service. Yet when talking to a srvc tech they agree the brakes are not what they are use to. Leaving and opinion that they to agree with the customer. In my opinion ford realizes that there is a problem why else put out an ssm there must of been previous complaints on this issue in order for ford to acknowledge this.i can send you a copy of this ssm if needed. Please supply your address. This issue started when i picked up the vehicle.my other concern is, if my brakes are part of the some that is normal what about the other some??[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Problems with the brakes on 2006 mitsubishi galant.the brakes were squeaking so i took it into the shop.they said they replaced the brakes pads this was at 16945 miles, again at 22380 miles, replace back brakes at 23403 now the brakes are gone again at 28552.they told me that it was just brake dust and no problem with the brakes but in less then 3 weeks the brakes are down metal to metal.

Hello i have a 2008 chrysler sebring and it constantly has brake problems.i bought the car from a dealership in dec of 2009.i have had to put brakes on 3 times since then and i don't go long distance or drive long.i have had factory brakes put on from the chrysler dealership.the brakes always make squeaking noise all the time.i have talked to alot of other people that have chryslers and they all said the they have brake problems.i think the car needs to be repaired or recalled.

I purchased a used 2002 ml320.once the vehicle came of the lot it was fine in the beginning; however, the bas/esp continues to come on every two to three months. This prevents me from moving the gear shift from park to drive also the brake lights are not working (on or off when pressing on the brake pad)and when it does come on when i am driving at night other drivers cannot see any brake lights at all which puts my family and i in a safety situation or safety hazard which has occurred many times while driving. At first, i took it to napa on metro parkway in fort myers which they replaced the brake light switch and then two months to three months later the vehicle was taken back for the same situation. They replaced the switch and said the brake light switch they received was from mercedes benz. In the spring 2007 the same situation occurred and took it to mercedes benz of fort myers and they also replaced the switch as well. However, mercedes of fort myers changed and followed orders from corporate on what to do but to no avail. This has been an ongoing issue since the purchased of the ml320. Currently, october 1, 2009 the vehicle is at mercedes at fort myers for the same issue. My wife and i have contacted mercedes customer complaint with this issue but we feel enough is not being done to resolve. The situation began in the month ofdecember 9, 2006 and continues presently which i have indicated.other drivers came close to crashing into me due to no brakes lights.my wife and i feel that we purchased a used vehicle that is considered to be a lemon that had about seventy two plus thousand miles on it. This is a very dangerous situation, and my wife and i would appreciate it if you can investigate this situation. Please respond as soon as possible. Updated ivoq 10/11/11. Updated ivoq 10/18/11.

Dealership stated there was nothing wrong with my frontabs brakes. Still after 14,746 miles give or take a few my brakes still have periodic pulsation. I should of wrote this complaint 14,746 miles ago my vehicle now has 49,175i bought it 34,429 thank god for extended warranties because otherwise i would have no windows because after buying a $16,000 vehicle i could not afford to replace all the window regulators that broke oh and i had to have a fuelpump module replaced it did not fix the problemmy main concern on this heap im mean jeep are the breaks front and rear and that chrysler jeep will not be held accountable for these problems untila person has died. There are many other problems cosmetic problems like the interior and heater vents. But not life threatening. I also have many concerns with the electrical system but again the dealer crown motors of redding california states that they cant manifest it they cant fix it every time i get my jeep back from them it runs worse that it did prior.

This issue started when i picked up the vehicle.my other concern is, if my brakes are part of the some that is normal what about the other some??[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
