Own 2006 ford ranger sport 4x4. Today, 06-11-11 i lost the rear brakes for the second time. The first time was about a year ago. Truck was taken to a ford dealer for repair. After inspecting the brakes, they asked me if i park in standing water. I told them no, in a parking lot.they said the rear brake components were frozen and coroded. I felt the rear drums today and they are ice cold. If they are working properly, the rear drums would be hot. Its a very scarey feeling when you hit the brakes and the truck does not stop. Please check to see if other truck owners have had this problem.
