Brake lights come on while driving day or night and when pedal is depressed lights do not come on.must drive with foot depressing brake pedal in order for lights to remain off.this is serious as the driver behind thinks that i am riding the brakes and then when i do need to brake there are no brake lights.

Upon taking my 2003 g35 sedan to infiniti of nashville to have my oil changed and the brake light switch replaced based on a national recall, the brake light switch was improperly installed causing my brakes to be locked.i was allowed to drive off the lot with my vehicle in this condition causing wear on my brakes as it appeared that no one test drove my car prior to the maintenance to ensure everything was operating effectively.in addition, my transmission appears to be slipping based on the incident.*la

This was a ford 1999 windstar recall on the abs system.the recall stated that a fire may occur in connection with the abs.i took the car in, however thebrake fluid leak inside the car has gotten worse.from time to time the car smokes up,and thereis a burning smell.the abs light continues to come on.my fear is that this is still a hazard with all the flammable brake fluid in the car.i looked it up and others have called this problem "braking distance suddenly increased service brakes, hydraulic". Brake fluid leaking intothe car.this seems to occur constantly.i have cleaned my car with the thought that i spilled oil, however after reading up found out that this was the problem.when i took it in for the recall, this was not mentioned at all to me by the ford dealer.i will be taking it to the dealer that fixed it to see what they will do or say.i guess i am wondering if there is anything else to do.

My rear hatch door of my 2000 astro van will not open.all of the locks on my van are not working as they should but at least i can use the inside door handles to get in and out. The hatch has no inside door release so in case of an accident i would never be able to get myself out of the back if that were the only way out.also, if you are braking and hit a bump the brakes will not work.i have had several close calls because i could not stop the van because of a bumpy intersection and the brakes not holding.

1.no braking when start cadillac srx 2008 after sitting for more than 3 hours. June 20092.took to dealer-they replaced pads and told me it was repaired. June 20093.next day, no brakes again, returned to dealer and they informed that a brake pump needed to be put on the vehicle due to manufacturing flaw.had them order part, but did not come in prior to returning to home town.refused to forward part to my dealer.june 20094.took car to my dealer and was told no such part existed. July 20095.took car back 3 times to my dealer and was finally told there was a part to order to fix the problem. Sept 20096.gm offered extended warranty for brake system and components.accepted because thought problem taken care of.october 20097.june 2010 problem recurred.8.july 2010was told problem was taken care of.went to pick up car.test drove with technician and brakes still did not work properly even with new pump and other parts they had installed.have been without car over a month and still not working.the problem is intermittent and only occurs on initial start after sitting for several hours.so far have run over curb at office nearly hitting an oncoming car, almost ran over my grandson when pulling out of garage and almost hit a car in parking lot due to non stopping of vehicle.the brakes are unreliable.there should be a recall on the vehicle.gm does not seem to be able to repair the problem after over a year.

I have a 2010 prius. If something happens where i need to use my brakes firmly and the road is not 100% smooth the brakes stop working for a few seconds. I thought it was something i was doing, but i am realizing now its not, its something in the car. In wet weather it does it even more. I have had more then 10 instances commuting 50 miles a day where i thought i was going to rear end someone. The brakes don't work or feel like normal brakes even when the roads are smooth. I have brought it up to the dealership i purchased it at right after i got it. They gave me the impression that it was me getting used to a hybrid car. There was no offer to bring it in and let them look at it.

Ford hybrid escape brake light keeps coming on.i have to turn it off and then back on to get the light out. Dealer says it's a ground fault and ford has a new wiring harness, but i am required to pay for it, it's an '05 with less than 8,000 miles on it, yet i am to pay and fix ford's problem, and we are talking brakes here, that ford knows about and has already identified and has a fix for.it needs a recall. The electric steering has already failed once and had to have a new computer for this.ford is hiding problems with the car.

On 08/09/08 i took my vehicle to get checked; i had already been having problems with my brake light coming on at different times.at that moment the light was not on and the service rep told me that the light had to be on in order to check the vehicle even after i showed him a recent video on my phone showing the light flashing.on 08/12/08 i took the vehicle as the light was one, they asked me to bring it in on 08/14/08.i dropped of my vehicle on 08/14/08 and they found that the brake sensor needs to changed; so they placed the order and asked me to come in on 08/19/08 to have it replaced. Due to tropical storm conditions on the 19th, i did not take my vehicle, we reschedule for 8/21/08.dropping off my vehicle on 08/21/08 they called me in the early afternoon that my vehicle was ready.the next day 08/22/08 the light turned on again; on 08/25 or 08/26 i called chrysler financial to complain; they told me i need to take my vehicle again when only the light is on.on 08/27 the light turned on and i went and spoke with the manager, he promised me a driver at 7:00am on 09/02 to bring me to work so i may leave me car; that promise was not fulfilled and my car finally went in on 09/05 as they now see it as a safety issue after i have been saying it in the beginning.i am waiting for the weekend to see if the light turns on again on my vehicle.i have had other instance about 3 months after purchase that the vehicle shut off 2 times!i took it to the service and their computer could not pick-up any codes and never found anything.i am very disappointed with maroone dodge of pembroke pines service.

I am the owner of a 2007 toyota camry that is part of both recalls for the floormat issue and the acceleration issue.when i first purchased my car in august 2007, i immediately noticed acceleration problems and called the dealership about it. The car was brought it in and repairs were made, however, the problem continued to exist and i was told that it was nothing serious.in february 2008, we were involved in an auto accident in my vehicle with our teenage daughter an a friend.we were coming to a stop light and there was a car in front of us and our car continued to accelerate and we hit the back of the car in front of us.there was severe front end damage to my vehicle, but thankfully, no really bodily injury to the passengers.after placing a call to the dealership after the accident and explaining the acceleration issue to them that i believe was the reason for the accident, i was told that it could not be the issue and that my initial acceleration issue had already been fixed. I have four children that are in my car everyday and i do not feel safe in my vehicle. My floormat issue has not been fixed and neither has the pedal issue. I am extremely disappointed with the way this situation is being handled, especially since i first noticed the issue right after the purchase of my car and i was assured that it was fixed.please advise.thanks

2006 mercury montego was issued a recall related to rear brakes. The recall was performed. 12,000 miles later the rear brakes need to be done again ford issued tsb 07-5-9 for premature pad wear and recommend replacing front brakes as well to ensure proper braking. This is a safety issue since many who are unaware will just replace the rear brakes creating uneven braking performance. Spoke with dealership and ford customer service. None want to take responsibility for fixing this braking problem correctly.
