The saab 9-3 2002stalled suddenly while idling on an exit ramp on the highway.the car failed to restart and had to be towed. The ignition module had been replaced 4 years early as part of a prior recall.the car is current at a gas station and the mechanic has diagnosed that the replaced ignition module has again failed.

Engine misfires on damp mornings creating sudden loss of acceleration and intermittent stall condition.mil light may flash but doesn't remain lit after episode.diagnosed as second coil failure in just 2 years totaling over $1,200 in repairs.this is the vr6 engine with a single coil unit - the "good" coil not subject to volkswagen's secret warranty as offered on coils of other 2001 models and on the 2002 model of the vr6. It would seem the secret warranty may have been arbitrarily limited in scope.

I have a 2001.5- 2.8 dohc vw passat with just over 106k miles.at around 98k miles i started to experience a loss of power in the engine and got multiple misfires on the scan of the engine. This happens intermittently, although mostly when i start the car at the beginning of the day, regardless of temperature.fast forward 6 months, after already replacing the coil pack twice, i still have the same problem. The dealership wants to charge me over $600 dollars to try and figure out what "might" be the problem. They're still not sure. If anyone is having this problem, please let me know if you've figured out what it is.

My client was involved with the development of software for a braking system for a tier 1 component manufacturer and reports that certain aspects of the safety-related software do not fulfil guidelines and create a significant vehicle safety risk, including roll-away in daimler vehicles.the former employee noted that software supplied by a tier 2 contained the safety risk and that the tier 1 safety manager recommended higher level involvement.former employee was threatened to receive a disciplinary warning if he did not stop trying to halt the release as the company informed him that "we cannot afford a recall". My 2005 ford focus has broken and shorted wires on the wiring harness for the back hatch in my station wagon. When i turn on the ignition or the headlights the back hatch opens inadvertently. The wires are shorted to the hatch release solenoid. The hatch can open on the freeway. My local ford dealer refused to fix the problem. This is a recurring problem with the ford focus. Needs safety recall.

I bought my 2001 vwbeetle and i started having problems the day i brought it home. Within 45 min my epc light came on, my abs light came on and my check engine light came on. The car stalled. I lost power steering, breaks, and car would not idle. Called the dealer and they said it sounded like the throttle body had went out. They replaced it with no charge, because i threatened to return the car under the lemon law, ever since i have had nothing but problems.starting in nov. Of 2010 i had a lot of miss fire. Took it to the vw dealer they said that the coils were recalled and they replaced them for free. Since then my coils and spark plugs have been replaced four times due to faulty manufacturing. About two weeks (july 2011) i went out and started my car, once again my epc light, my abs light and check engine light came on. Once again i lost my power steering, brakes, car wouldn?t idle. Took it to the dealer they said it was the mass airflow sensor. Changed it car ran fine for one day. The next day the lights came on again. Took it back to the dealer they said it?s the coils and sparks plugs. Had them changed less than a month ago (june 2001) when i had the timing belt changed. Took it back again now they are saying it?s the throttle body again. Last time i checked a throttle body should last more than 2year. I was looking for a used throttle body and was at a parts store the guy said that there has been a huge issue with the wiring harness and it cost about $2000 hoping this is not my problem?. Within the last two years i have sunk 3500 in to this crap car.
