A year ago automatic door locks and window switches on passenger's side, front and back, stopped working when passenger side front door interior light did not go on when driver's door was open.on occasion, door light would go on making everything operational.this was short-lived each time.recent item about a gm recall listed this same problem, stating if the circuit board inside driver's door got wet, it could corrode the circuit board, possibly causing smoke or fire.my concern is a safety one.was there a recall on this vehicle.it is a 2001 jeep grand cherokee limited, purchased by a relative in 2001 and transferred to me in 2007.

While traveling home for spring break. My 2002 buick rendezvous experienced electrical problems and stalled on the highway. I purchased this vehicle in december 2008 and it is still under warranty. I had the vehicle towed from stockton ca to tracy ca where it remains awaiting a service authorization to be fixed from my contract holder. The mechanic at the tracy dealership stated the battery was dead, the oil was very low and that the engine had internal problems that would require him to dismantle or replace the engine. This particular vehicle is listed in many complaints in the data base here and has serious mechanical / electrical issues. To date march 29, 2009 i am awaiting service and a resolution. Nothing has been done to correct the issue to date.

I purchased car in may 2005 and within 4 weeks my car lights and signal would just flash out of control. The car would then beep all the time. The dealer said they don't know why. Then the computer locked my car. After waited almost 2 hours for roadside the dealer came to bring me to a rental car dealership. The car was towed and then the car was re keyed. The computer was updated and all electronically defects worked better then delivery.

Got in my van started down street and smelt smoke went around block inside of van full of smoke stopped van and shut it off got out of it and called for fire dept and neighbor called to by time fire dept came my van was fully on fire melted siding on house i was next too..smoke aggravated my ashtma and had to do my nebulizer............now i had a recall and supposably it was corrected but my van still caught fire...i don't have fire coverage what is my next thing i can do to get compensation....if my recall was fixed why did it still catch fire....had no problems with van before all happened...only work done on it was for the recall...

Power rear hatch failure - after opening rear door, it would immediately come back down with the motor.if someone was standing at the rear of the vehicle, it would hit them, and stop, but would not go back up.this kept repeating for several weeks until the door no longer opened via the power opener.when taken to the dealer, all they found was that the door had "lost it's programming" and they reprogrammed it, but the problem has starting occurring again.

I have a 2009 chrysler sebring that i bought new on 8=10=2009. I have had multiple problems with the safety sensors and warning lights going off. The car loses power and stalls. I have taken it in for repairs 4 times with the last time being 09-02-10 the dealership pulled the tranny to put in a new "sensor module" within 24 hours it is doing the same thing and now the starter grinds and has a mind of its own and wont stop turning over....called the corp and they said sorry it is a holiday get a hold of your dealer.

I own a 2006 pontiac g6 and my speedometer is not registering in mileages(mph) but in kilometers (khm). I purchased the car with 42,000 and not even a year later it has 92,000 miles or kilometers on it. I've only been out of town once in this vehicle. I read the owner's manual for the car and it stated that in canada the car's register kilometers. Clearly, i am not in canada but reside in the united states. Will this afftect my title and registration if and when i decide to trade this car in and what can be done to correct this?

I am asking for an investigation being done for my vehicle which was about to killed me on wednesday january 26th 2011. I was coming home from work around 11:30 pm and my toyota corolla made a spin round two times and was about to turn over before the engine seized. And ten minutes before that my car run through the red light on rockaway turnpike, i called up toyota and made an complaint. They told me someone is going to get in contact with me within three business day but no one did not. I also called toyota a few ago about the same issue ,but they stated that my car in not in the recalled. I have a 2006 corolla. Most of the time when ever i try to step my feet on the brakes its like some thing is hold the brake from going down. I would be very grateful if someone could please help me as soon as possible or else i will die in that car.

I took my 2008 rondo in to steven kia on 4/10/2009 because the check engine light was on. They still have not fixed my car and it has been in their shop for over 60 days. They say the engine has defective parts. I want to know if kia will give me a car that is not defective or return my purchase cost.if this car is defective then i want to get another car. I bought it for my daughter and i no longer trust that she will be driving a safe vehicle.

2000hyundai elantra -new------------7/05 w/ 17,923mileage on the car.i needed to replace the motor on the pass. Front window & both back windows. It is now 12/07and i need to replace the same motors in all 3 windows,my car now has 29,420mileage on the car.the window that i would use the most is the drivers front ,is just fine.

I bought the car in september 2007..in november i was on the highway and suddenly the car started to overheat had to get it towed to the nearest auto shop where they said the radiator was damaged and had to be changed...couple days later the fan stopped working which also had to be changed. After all the over heating the mechanic told me the engine burned out and also had to be replaced after the fact my car wouldnt start. Had the truck working for a while until april 2008 where my transmission started failing. I kept hearing a clicking noise and the truck wouldnt accelerate as fast it should have been. Had the transmission replaced at cottman transmission. After all this had happened the engine light came on and i couldnt get my inspection done, turned out to be a hose causing air to be released. It is now january 2009 and my truck has leaked out all its antifreeze once again its over heating. All in all since september 2007 i have spent over $3500-$4000 on this truck. Still making payments on the truck from college hill auto in pennsylvania.

Event/situation: hesitates and chokes at 40-45 miles per hour when trying to accelerate, along with a slight rubbing sensation felt through the steering wheel and gas peddle. They advised replacing the upper ball joints. They also stated a weak battery which was replaced. This did seem to fix various faulty false electrical issues: interior lights staying on and false light/dashboard readings. Faulty transmission, emissions or plugs/wiring have been possibilities. I've taken it to goodyear who recommended changing out the plugs and wires, along with a flush. I've been told that flushes can ruin parts on older vehicles and cause other expensive problems. I found a few websites were there are many other customers having these same issues with the 2002 ford explorer. Ford has been notified and aware of these transmission issues and expensive problems, covering up with other little recalls like the wiring harness. I, like many, are being forced to pay for faulty transmissions. Traction frequently activates."service traction system" and "abs" lights come on frequently. Last spring and summer, my mechanic replaced a couple of parts but it did not resolve the problem.i can not tell you exactly what those parts were without finding my receipts for the work. Last spring and summer, the traction did not actually activate but the light did come on.diagnostic was done several times with no results except for a couple of times.i had the body module replace last fall.i had no problems for about a month but problems started periodically and are gradually increasing.i do not understand why there has not been a recall.with the tires spinning like that, it could be dangerous.after stopping at a stop light or stop sign or making a turn, my traction sometimes activates.

Nov. 23, 2004 - purchased a volvo xc90 t6 from lehman volvo in york, pa - the vehicle had 10.042 miles on it at the time of purchasejune 26, 2007 - automatic transmission needed to be replaced - volvo of cary in nc paid for the transmission and we paid for the labor - $1425 - mileage 68,306feb. 2008 - the transmission service required lights/message came on periodically while we were traveling in the ne- we called volvo of cary and they said that if we continued to see the light to bring it to a dealer where we weremarch 2008-july 2009 - a variety of messages would appear periodically saying that transmission service was required or urgent july 7, 2009 - i took the vehicle to volvo of cary while the light was on stating that transmission service was needed as they installed an updated version of transmission software - $123.38mid-july 2009 - the transmission began to slip noticeablyjuly 22, 2009 - cottman transmission rebuilt the existing transmission - $3643.04 - mileage 116,030.

Own 2002 audi a6 3.0 liter sedan. Module(computer) replaced and complained of transmission notworking properly. Brought auto back to dealer and after checking the transmission found nothing wrong. Transmission still not working properly. When put in drive auto doesn't move forward. Have to play around with lever from reverse to drive to engage the transmission. When itmoves forward it lunges not smoothly. Not safe driving.

Transmission quit at stop sign just had transmission check out the week before they changed transmission and flushed it called an said it was ok we towed it to our ford dealer after 5 days they called an said it needed a transmission van only had 69,000 miles on it a rebuilt transmission cost us 3100 dollars an guarantee for 100,000 miles but the original transmission didn't last 70,000 milessomething is wrong with these transmission.

My 2007 ford freestyle was delivered in january, 2007. In march 2008, the transmission went and the dealer had the freestyle until the end of may, 2008. The dealer told me that "people" were flown in from "detroit." then, in august, 2009, the transmission went on the mass pike at 65 mph. I called the dealer and i was told that it was my responsibility because the car was out of warranty, but the new transmission only had 11,000 miles on it. (as an aside, no one was at the dealership that i had any contact with when the transmission went in 2008.) i called ford. I was told that this was not a "ford problem" because it was not fixed by ford, but rather by the "transmission shop around the corner." ford's problem has been sitting in my driveway since them and i continue to pay for ford's problem.

Toyota camry sedan 4 cyl----auto on acceleration has a stall /pause . This could cause an accident when entering a highway or intersection . Nfd toyota. Toyotasaid it was not aware of this problem.

The transmission issues in the 2002 acura tl type s do not appear to be corrected by replacing the transmission.we purchased a certified pre-owned tl type s less than 3 months ago and found out afterwards (dealer did not disclose) that it had two transmissions replaced prior within 29,000 miles.after driving the car 3,874 miles the transmission began displaying problems.the dealer checked it and determined yet another transmission replacement was necessary.less than one week after this third replacement, the transmission failed again.this vehicle is not safe for anyone to drive and acura's attempt to sweep this issue under the rug by offering an extended warranty will do nothing in the event of a major accident.*la

Purchased auto in july 2001.i drive a great deal and took my car religiously in for service to the dealer.upon getting an oil change at about 30k miles i had to get my engine replaced due to a defective oil filter.transmission (clutch pak) burned out at 100k miles.no help from mazda.they actually had my car for over a month and wanted me to pay another diagnostic fee for hooking the car up to the machine.no estimate was given.mazda associates constantly were unavailable and hung up on me many times.

Was driving home from minnesota to pennsylvania in my 2001 lexus rx300 on june 28th, 2008; and my transmission went out on me. I was on a major highway at night time in the pouring rain and it fell down to 5 mph. I found the nearest exit and had it towed to the nearest garage where i rebuilt lexus transmission was installed, at a cost of $,4600.00. I received a twelve month unlimited mileage warranty on the transmission from lexus. My suv had approximately, 112.000 miles on it at this point. Now, less that 10 months later, i have metal chips in my fluid and was told that i need yet another transmission, at a cost of over $4,000; as the dealer here in my state won't honor the lexus warranty. I have been back and forth on the phone with the dealer here and the dealer in ohio and was treated very rudely by the dealer here. I was informed that even though lexus issued the warranty, they can not follow through with it, even though the dealer in ohio said that they have to. I am completely at my wits end. I called the 1-800 number for lexus and have also contacted my attorney.someone needs to admit that there are severe transmission problems with these vehicles, and quit trying to pass over us; the people that paid for them. If there is a class action suit in the making, i ant to become a part of it. The whole idea of "customer satisfaction" flew out the window and lexus dealers need to be reminded where their paychecks come from. I was treated rudely today , without reason; and here i sit with a warranty that i can't use to get my vehicle fixed.

I purchased my 2006 jeep liberty in may 2011, however i have to windows that just stopped working.the windows just fail completely down without any warning one while i was driving which could have shatter and hurt my passenger.i contacted the chrysler jeep manufacture compliant line but they were no help.i was given a phone number to a dealership and was told i have warranty on the windows that only cover the list plate (if that's the problem) for my back window only.the problemafter researching it this morning on the internet is the regulators in the windows which are very costly to repair approx. $260 per window.in this economy i can't afford to repair this and i should not have to because there is some kind of mal-function with the parts inside of the windows.they need to recall these vehicles because owner of them will spend money repairing the same problem at least 3 to 4 times in one year.

I have a 2002 jeep liberty and i have to replace a window regulator for the 5th time.every in every instance it has been the rear windows. In one instance i was driving down the highway and the window came down. I have two children in car seats and the last thing i need is for them to throw something out or for something to happen to them b/c the regulator failed while i'm driving down the hwy.other times it was parked in the driveway and when i looked out of my house the rear window was down again.the regulators were just replaced on 6-06-10and now it is 08-26-10.the new regulator didn't last very long, huh.after all of the problems that i 've had with this jeep i will never buy another one!!i have noticed on different online forums that this seems to be a very common problem for thousands of jeep owners. For some reason nobody seems to be addressing this situation.we spend lots of money on vehicles and for their upkeep!the least jeep can do is fix the problem or they may have a bigger problem ahead when everyone decides to stop purchasing jeeps.since i have already decided to do that guess that's one consumer down the drain for jeep!oh, the other thing....i live in tx and it was 107 degrees the other day....would you want to have a problem with your window in this heat....renders the ac virtually useless!i don't need or want my children sitting in a hot vehicle and risk potential heat associated problems b/c of a crappy product!if it occurs at home then i duct tape it before i leave.

Making left turn on parking lot the steer wheel clock spring was torn. There was a clicking sound and the front airbag light came on. The repair cost for the replacement is: for the part 307.47 labor 352.50 so the total will be 659.97 plus tax. I did not do nothing wrong and just wonder if all this is covered by nhtsa campaign number: 15v483000

Jeep lls, 2010;horn dysfunction.problem was said to be damaged driver airbag in the steering wheel has caused the horn pad to be bent, causing continuous horn honk.service is said to be denied by extended warranty coverage, dealership did not offer free repair, although it is now known that the sensors often malfunction causing airbag deployment failure.consequence is that i have a malfunctioning horn.

The brakes did not work! i was driving down a 60mph speed limit road and there was a stop lightahead a car in front of me stopped short to avoid accident i tuned in to the other lane wile on my brakes there was a tractor trailer stopped at the light the brakes weren't working i put the brake pedal to the floor and stopped slowly i wound up about less than 1 foot of hitting the trailer at the next light i was coming to a stop and the car did it again this time i went threw the red light on about 5 feet into the intersection thank god no other drivers started to go yet from there green light .no injuries or damage just a crappy car :-(

My windows to my grand am having been a failure almost 8 months after i bought the car, i have replaced the regulators on all my windows and still having a problem with them, they either do not go up, the motor does work but the windows do not stay up. It has cost me several hundred of dollars to repair the same windows.

I have a 2006 mercury montego automatic with 47,000 miles and now when i go to pass someone or going up a hill the car will either feel like it is in neutral and then pops into drive really hard. I don't think this is normal for a 2006 with low miles. Did mercury ever have a transmission recall on these cars. If not maybe they should investigate the problem.

2004 buick rendezvous awd light came on and has never gone off. It came on when we had less than 30k miles on the car. We have had our car to many, many mechanics. None are able to fix this problem. One told us we needed all new tires, we bought new tires, one said it was the alignment we had it aligned. One mechanic went through the car and charged us 3 hours of labor to tell us that he did not know what was wrong and nothing appeared to be wrong. Another suggested we contact the dealer must be a central computer system defect. Called the dealer and he stated there were no warnings on this defect. Awd is something we wanted when we purchased the vehicle. I have done a lot of research online and many other owners of this vehicle have had the same problem many, many mechanics and no fix to the problem. The owner's manual states that without this working it poses a safety hazard to the driver and occupants. We want to get this repaired but can't afford to keep spending money to investigate a problem no one can fix. Kindly investigate this.

Sitting at a stoplight, hear a loud pop in drivers side door, drivers side window falls down into the door.took truck to the dealership and regulator assembly has failed - $450 for parts/labor.this has happened to numerous ford f150 owners and i'm afraid it will happen to my remaining windows.dangerous to have windows fail and collapse into your door at any moment - poorly engineered by ford - needs to be recalled.

I was traveling at approximately 70 mph and my tachometer stopped working and i started losing speed.the car would not shift.i was able to move to manual shifting and resume my speed.but the tachometer continued to read "0".

My 2003 honda pilot had a transmission recall a few years ago, which was reportedly performed by honda.3-14-09 it was serviced by honda, for a light that came on indicating a transmission problem.after the service, on 4-2-09, my husband was driving on the highway and the transmission locked up this almost caused a serious accident, on 275 during rush hour in cincinnati, due to a sudden slowing of the vehicle without rear brake lights indicating stopping or slowing.this is an indication that even with the recall alterations, the problem of transmission failure can occur causing a crash.dh, a friend had a similar failure causing a crash with her three children on board, the driver experienced injuries in this rollover crash.honda was notified and service personnel were advised and they are non responsive.this vehicle is designed for up to eight occupants making this a serious possibility for bodily injury.at the time of recall the correction for this failure was transmission replacement.there is a 30 day wait for rebuilt transmissions, evidently because this is a common problem.a friend with the same year honda pilot had the same lock up occur with her transmission and it did cause the pilot to crash and roll over and the vehicle was totaled.there are many others with similar stories.unfortunately honda will not acknowledge the problem despite the safety issues.

I own an 08 toyota tundra.have done all maintenance work and have records.had the accelerator pedal problem fixed (?) by toyota in wellesley massachusetts on 2/5/10.the date below is approximate, i put the car in reverse and it took off smashing my rear bumper which i paid to fix.i just thank god that was not a child behind my car.since then there have been too many incidents to counts with the accelerator sticking. Called toyota both dealership and company and was told my truck has been fixed. I own a 2001 mitsubishi montero ltd.approx 2 weeks ago noticed random, intermittent chirping noise.can also feel vibration in brake pedal when chirping.noise has become more frequent and continual.took to midas and was told there is a recall #01v254001.called capitol mitsubishi,san jose,ca only to be informed that since suv has 173,000 miles the recall does not apply.per dealership max miles is 150,000 so the repair will cost me between $500-600.based on research the hydraulic brake booster wont function when needed.

Friday; 02/05/2010 i own a 2010 toyota prius i have been experiencing when i apply my brakes for months when driving over a uneven surface or a large holes.my vehicle does not respond when i try to slow down or apply brakes. Its like i lost control. I tried to explain this condition to the selling dealer but he did not have a answer up to now. My 2010 toyota was purchased 09/22/2009.

2009 lexus es-350 had sudden acceleration which was out of control in may 2009. I had brought this car back to lexus dealership at southfiled, mi who said it was not an issue.

The glass on the door will slide down, and the window will not operate. This has happened twice on the highway and it is very dangerous. The repair cost is approx $500 each time this has happened. The dealer stated that it was a defective part, they changed the part and now they are going back to the original as that one was no better. So even though i am getting the windows repaired, it continues to happen to all three of the windows. There is only one that it hasn't happen to.

I live 35 miles from the dealership, and drove having no problems with the transmission. When i picked it up; however, my transmission failed. After researching with other mechanics, i feel that it was their error and their products liability insurance should have covered the expenses.*la

I own a 2006 pontiac g6 and my speedometer is not registering in mileages(mph) but in kilometers (khm). I purchased the car with 42,000 and not even a year later it has 92,000 miles or kilometers on it. I've only been out of town once in this vehicle. I read the owner's manual for the car and it stated that in canada the car's register kilometers. Clearly, i am not in canada but reside in the united states. Power rear hatch failure - after opening rear door, it would immediately come back down with the motor.if someone was standing at the rear of the vehicle, it would hit them, and stop, but would not go back up.this kept repeating for several weeks until the door no longer opened via the power opener.when taken to the dealer, all they found was that the door had "lost it's programming" and they reprogrammed it, but the problem has starting occurring again.

2004 buick rendezvous awd light came on and has never gone off. It came on when we had less than 30k miles on the car. We have had our car to many, many mechanics. None are able to fix this problem. One told us we needed all new tires, we bought new tires, one said it was the alignment we had it aligned. One mechanic went through the car and charged us 3 hours of labor to tell us that he did not know what was wrong and nothing appeared to be wrong. Another suggested we contact the dealer must be a central computer system defect. Called the dealer and he stated there were no warnings on this defect. Awd is something we wanted when we purchased the vehicle. I have done a lot of research online and many other owners of this vehicle have had the same problem many, many mechanics and no fix to the problem. The owner's manual states that without this working it poses a safety hazard to the driver and occupants. We want to get this repaired but can't afford to keep spending money to investigate a problem no one can fix. Kindly investigate this.

Purchased auto in july 2001.i drive a great deal and took my car religiously in for service to the dealer.upon getting an oil change at about 30k miles i had to get my engine replaced due to a defective oil filter.transmission (clutch pak) burned out at 100k miles.no help from mazda.they actually had my car for over a month and wanted me to pay another diagnostic fee for hooking the car up to the machine.no estimate was given.mazda associates constantly were unavailable and hung up on me many times.

My 2007 ford freestyle was delivered in january, 2007. In march 2008, the transmission went and the dealer had the freestyle until the end of may, 2008. The dealer told me that "people" were flown in from "detroit." then, in august, 2009, the transmission went on the mass pike at 65 mph. I called the dealer and i was told that it was my responsibility because the car was out of warranty, but the new transmission only had 11,000 miles on it. (as an aside, no one was at the dealership that i had any contact with when the transmission went in 2008.) i called ford. I was told that this was not a "ford problem" because it was not fixed by ford, but rather by the "transmission shop around the corner." ford's problem has been sitting in my driveway since them and i continue to pay for ford's problem.

I have a 2006 mercury montego automatic with 47,000 miles and now when i go to pass someone or going up a hill the car will either feel like it is in neutral and then pops into drive really hard. I don't think this is normal for a 2006 with low miles. Did mercury ever have a transmission recall on these cars. If not maybe they should investigate the problem.

I was traveling at approximately 70 mph and my tachometer stopped working and i started losing speed.the car would not shift.i was able to move to manual shifting and resume my speed.but the tachometer continued to read "0".

Event/situation: hesitates and chokes at 40-45 miles per hour when trying to accelerate, along with a slight rubbing sensation felt through the steering wheel and gas peddle. They advised replacing the upper ball joints. They also stated a weak battery which was replaced. This did seem to fix various faulty false electrical issues: interior lights staying on and false light/dashboard readings. Faulty transmission, emissions or plugs/wiring have been possibilities. I've taken it to goodyear who recommended changing out the plugs and wires, along with a flush. I've been told that flushes can ruin parts on older vehicles and cause other expensive problems. I found a few websites were there are many other customers having these same issues with the 2002 ford explorer. Ford has been notified and aware of these transmission issues and expensive problems, covering up with other little recalls like the wiring harness. I, like many, are being forced to pay for faulty transmissions. Now, less that 10 months later, i have metal chips in my fluid and was told that i need yet another transmission, at a cost of over $4,000; as the dealer here in my state won't honor the lexus warranty. I have been back and forth on the phone with the dealer here and the dealer in ohio and was treated very rudely by the dealer here. I was informed that even though lexus issued the warranty, they can not follow through with it, even though the dealer in ohio said that they have to. I am completely at my wits end. I called the 1-800 number for lexus and have also contacted my attorney.someone needs to admit that there are severe transmission problems with these vehicles, and quit trying to pass over us; the people that paid for them. If there is a class action suit in the making, i ant to become a part of it. The whole idea of "customer satisfaction" flew out the window and lexus dealers need to be reminded where their paychecks come from. I am asking for an investigation being done for my vehicle which was about to killed me on wednesday january 26th 2011. I was coming home from work around 11:30 pm and my toyota corolla made a spin round two times and was about to turn over before the engine seized. And ten minutes before that my car run through the red light on rockaway turnpike, i called up toyota and made an complaint. They told me someone is going to get in contact with me within three business day but no one did not. Most of the time when ever i try to step my feet on the brakes its like some thing is hold the brake from going down. I would be very grateful if someone could please help me as soon as possible or else i will die in that car.

I own a 2001 mitsubishi montero ltd.approx 2 weeks ago noticed random, intermittent chirping noise.can also feel vibration in brake pedal when chirping.noise has become more frequent and continual.took to midas and was told there is a recall #01v254001.called capitol mitsubishi,san jose,ca only to be informed that since suv has 173,000 miles the recall does not apply.per dealership max miles is 150,000 so the repair will cost me between $500-600.based on research the hydraulic brake booster wont function when needed.

The brakes did not work! i was driving down a 60mph speed limit road and there was a stop lightahead a car in front of me stopped short to avoid accident i tuned in to the other lane wile on my brakes there was a tractor trailer stopped at the light the brakes weren't working i put the brake pedal to the floor and stopped slowly i wound up about less than 1 foot of hitting the trailer at the next light i was coming to a stop and the car did it again this time i went threw the red light on about 5 feet into the intersection thank god no other drivers started to go yet from there green light .no injuries or damage just a crappy car :-(

I have a 2006 cobalt ltz, and the power steering keeps going out when, i drive down the road, also i have shaking and noise, and i had my grandchild in the car, and the power steering went out which could have had a wreck...this is a very bad problem, also i have shaking and noise, when i drive down the road...........please help!!

Vehicle door unlatches while driving. I was driving on highway, my passenger door opened unexpectedly, i lost control and ended up in a ditch. Now, i'm having the same issue with the drivers door, will not latch or lock

Event/situation: hesitates and chokes at 40-45 miles per hour when trying to accelerate, along with a slight rubbing sensation felt through the steering wheel and gas peddle. They advised replacing the upper ball joints. They also stated a weak battery which was replaced. This did seem to fix various faulty false electrical issues: interior lights staying on and false light/dashboard readings. Faulty transmission, emissions or plugs/wiring have been possibilities. I've taken it to goodyear who recommended changing out the plugs and wires, along with a flush. I've been told that flushes can ruin parts on older vehicles and cause other expensive problems. I found a few websites were there are many other customers having these same issues with the 2002 ford explorer. Ford has been notified and aware of these transmission issues and expensive problems, covering up with other little recalls like the wiring harness. I, like many, are being forced to pay for faulty transmissions. I bought my 1997 thunderbird 4-15-2003 w/70000 miles, after reading all the complaints on this page i can only relate to 2 of them, the viberation in the transmission on upshift,and the front end shaking above 50 mph.but i'm so glad.i bought a 2 yr.extented warrenty,because it looks like i'm in for some problens.i can be contacted at [email protected]

Traction frequently activates."service traction system" and "abs" lights come on frequently. Last spring and summer, my mechanic replaced a couple of parts but it did not resolve the problem.i can not tell you exactly what those parts were without finding my receipts for the work. Last spring and summer, the traction did not actually activate but the light did come on.diagnostic was done several times with no results except for a couple of times.i had the body module replace last fall.i had no problems for about a month but problems started periodically and are gradually increasing.i do not understand why there has not been a recall.with the tires spinning like that, it could be dangerous.after stopping at a stop light or stop sign or making a turn, my traction sometimes activates.

2006 jeep liberty- window regulator problem. Windows crash down into door while driving, startling the driver!this is the third window in the vehicle that has had to be replaced. This is apparently a huge defect (just read the many reviews online)that chrysler won't admit to.

2009 lexus es-350 had sudden acceleration which was out of control in may 2009. I had brought this car back to lexus dealership at southfiled, mi who said it was not an issue.

I own an 08 toyota tundra.have done all maintenance work and have records.had the accelerator pedal problem fixed (?) by toyota in wellesley massachusetts on 2/5/10.the date below is approximate, i put the car in reverse and it took off smashing my rear bumper which i paid to fix.i just thank god that was not a child behind my car.since then there have been too many incidents to counts with the accelerator sticking. Called toyota both dealership and company and was told my truck has been fixed. I am here to tell you it has not been fixed.the more miles i put on the car the more frequently this happens.i was on channel 5 news in mass on friday 3/5 and sat 3/6 regarding this continuing problem.toyota is not offering a rental while they look at it and this is a work truck for me. I don't work i don't get paid and i still owe 16k on the truck. I am sending a certified letter to corporate toyota and putting them on notice regarding the liability on this matter, which is huge.i am not losing my home and everything i have worked hard for all my life because toyota has a problem they cannot figure out.i myself do not believe there was ever a floor mat problem, that was a delay tactic.but i am reporting to you as i was instructed to do by channel 5 not toyota or the dealership but by the newscaster that broadcast my story.the acceleration is happening at least 5-9 times a week at various times.if you can help please do. I was traveling at approximately 70 mph and my tachometer stopped working and i started losing speed.the car would not shift.i was able to move to manual shifting and resume my speed.but the tachometer continued to read "0".

My 2001 accord has had a problem with the accelerator sticking since it was new.while it hasn't yet stuck open it does stick everday.it seems worse when it is first cranked in the morning, however, letting it warm up has not effect. This is especially dangerous in parking garages and lots.i have had this auto to apple tree honda on at least six occasions and they tell me they can't duplicate the problem.i have left it overnight for them to service the next day and they insist it doesn't do this with them.i have complained to them on at least 6 occasions and paid for three fuel injection cleanings.the accelerator still sticks.i understand from doing internet research that this is a common problem with my year automobile, yet honda obviously doesn't want to address the issue.in addition, my transmission is getting worse day by day.it now doesn't engage properly especially after driving, stopping and taking off again on a grade.while this car has a grade logic sensor the sensor apparently doesn't do it's job because i live in the mountains and it never engages.apple tree also tells me that they just can't seem to duplicate any transmission problem. I am aware that there is an extended warranty due to a recall but apple tree has never mentioned any repair to me.in addition, from internet research, when you take your accord for this warranty repair they use a "used" transmission under the excuse that it will take to long to get a new one. I have written a detailed letter to american honda to see if they will assist me, other than another trip to apple tree, whose service is substandard and has been for years.when i owned my first accord i drove over an hour for service to another state because apple tree actually damaged by car during service, left me sitting three hours durning a 10 minute oil change because they couldn't "forgot" i was waiting, etc.this is my second accord but definitely my last unless honda deals with the issues.

I having problems with my stabilitrak system the engine lights comes on and i just had the thermostat sensors change which took them three time to find the problem and my drivers window sensors was replaced and there a sudden thumb when you brake as thought you have been hit from behind.

My windows to my grand am having been a failure almost 8 months after i bought the car, i have replaced the regulators on all my windows and still having a problem with them, they either do not go up, the motor does work but the windows do not stay up. It has cost me several hundred of dollars to repair the same windows.

Window regulator on front passenger door continues to break causing cable to come off track and tangle in door and window tabs to break off requiring repair (approx $250 usd).window has to be taped up to prevent from falling out of car while driving.

2000hyundai elantra -new------------7/05 w/ 17,923mileage on the car.i needed to replace the motor on the pass. Front window & both back windows. It is now 12/07and i need to replace the same motors in all 3 windows,my car now has 29,420mileage on the car.the window that i would use the most is the drivers front ,is just fine.

I have a 2002 jeep liberty and i have to replace a window regulator for the 5th time.every in every instance it has been the rear windows. In one instance i was driving down the highway and the window came down. I have two children in car seats and the last thing i need is for them to throw something out or for something to happen to them b/c the regulator failed while i'm driving down the hwy.other times it was parked in the driveway and when i looked out of my house the rear window was down again.the regulators were just replaced on 6-06-10and now it is 08-26-10.the new regulator didn't last very long, huh.after all of the problems that i 've had with this jeep i will never buy another one!!i have noticed on different online forums that this seems to be a very common problem for thousands of jeep owners. For some reason nobody seems to be addressing this situation.we spend lots of money on vehicles and for their upkeep!the least jeep can do is fix the problem or they may have a bigger problem ahead when everyone decides to stop purchasing jeeps.since i have already decided to do that guess that's one consumer down the drain for jeep!oh, the other thing....i live in tx and it was 107 degrees the other day....would you want to have a problem with your window in this heat....renders the ac virtually useless!i don't need or want my children sitting in a hot vehicle and risk potential heat associated problems b/c of a crappy product!if it occurs at home then i duct tape it before i leave.

Bought a 04 jeep grand cherokee laredo 2 weeks ago.when driving down the highway with both back windows down, a loud noise occurs sounding like a flat tire. If you crack a front window the noise goes away. I called the 800 number in the warranty book and they said it's a design flaw.

My 2004 jeep liberty continues to have problems with the door regulator. This is the fourth time it has happened and chrysler will not recall the defective part. The glass on the door will slide down, and the window will not operate. This has happened twice on the highway and it is very dangerous. The repair cost is approx $500 each time this has happened. It keeps happening to the windows that i have even gotten repaired already. The dealer stated that it was a defective part, they changed the part and now they are going back to the original as that one was no better. So even though i am getting the windows repaired, it continues to happen to all three of the windows. There is only one that it hasn't happen to.

I purchased my 2006 jeep liberty in may 2011, however i have to windows that just stopped working.the windows just fail completely down without any warning one while i was driving which could have shatter and hurt my passenger.i contacted the chrysler jeep manufacture compliant line but they were no help.i was given a phone number to a dealership and was told i have warranty on the windows that only cover the list plate (if that's the problem) for my back window only.the problemafter researching it this morning on the internet is the regulators in the windows which are very costly to repair approx. $260 per window.in this economy i can't afford to repair this and i should not have to because there is some kind of mal-function with the parts inside of the windows.they need to recall these vehicles because owner of them will spend money repairing the same problem at least 3 to 4 times in one year.

Sitting at a stoplight, hear a loud pop in drivers side door, drivers side window falls down into the door.took truck to the dealership and regulator assembly has failed - $450 for parts/labor.this has happened to numerous ford f150 owners and i'm afraid it will happen to my remaining windows.dangerous to have windows fail and collapse into your door at any moment - poorly engineered by ford - needs to be recalled.
