1. Came out of gear when in park and crashed sustaining 5000.00 dollars in damage. Had received a letter from daimler-chrysler in 2002,however it was not dated stating the car could do this. No recalls were present at the time. They denied any problem when car crashed. Called an attorney who was a relative that told without a doubt (100%) the car would do this. He then called me back and stated he could not represent me because he represented daimler-chrysler. He was hired by chrysler after he bought a viper from them that was a lemon and he shoved it you know where and won. They realized what an outstanding attorney he was then hired him. Talk about family ethics. They finally installed the secondary detent system in 12/2008. I was told it was repaired.2 the car is stalling at high speeds,during u turns, while at stop signs. It to dangerous to drive. Jeep keeps telling me they can not find anything on diagnostics. I was out of town 250 miles from home and they want me to drive an unsafe vehicle back to the. They have been rude,evasive and blaming me. After 500.00 there diagnostics showed nothing. It has been to 5 other mechanics and know one has been able to diagnose the problem. I now have a 1997 grand cherokee limited that is loaded that is dangerous and worth nothing.3 if they insist on arbitration and a chance to fix it you will lose. It is worth your money to hire a lemon law attorney from the very beginning.

With no warning, my car's electrical system will start failing. Lights will dim, rpm and speed gauges reset and the car stalls with in a matter of minutes. The vehicle will not start again and has to be towed to the dealership. Vehicle has left me stranded 5+ times because of this. The failure is in the alternator to the car and possibly the battery as well which both have only ever been the manufacturers parts. I have had to have my battery replaced 4 times and my alternator 5+ times it is obvious that there is a substantial problem with this car's electrical system.the car is not dependable at all and causes more stress, money,& time than it is worth.these issues should be addressed by the ford motor company.

I have 2006 saturn ion 3 and there is something going on with the passlock which delay the time of my car starting i have to wait 10 minutes before i could get my car to start.

Sunday sept 11, 2005- my car would not accelerate on i-285 west bound i had to coast over to the side of the road amidst sunday traffic,they confirmed that my timing belt had popped car towed to midas gave me a tsb report stating that the timing belt covered had cracked and that is what made the timing belt pop, which in turn is a manufacturing. I called the consumer affairs and left a complaint with matt-file: 939520 he said i needed to have a hyundai dealership look at the car to make sure in fact this is the problem, bc i have over 147,000 miles on the car and it is no longer under warranty. Jim ellis hyundai looked at my car in service and did a diagnostic test,stated that the maintenance on the upper and lower cover is what caused the timing belt to break. They could fix the timing belt and the upper and lower cover and the crankshaft seal -which is leaking. Jim calls me back and states that the engine is gone and would need to replace the engine for the car to work again. He said that midas must have been trying to start the car with a new timing belt which locked the engine up, i told him that midas just checked the car and nothing was wrong with the engine, jim had another technician to look at it this morning to see if the upper and lower cover is causing the timing belt to break. Jim calls me back and states that the crankshaft sealed had leaked onto the upper and lower cover and caused the timing belt to slip, which in turn caused the crack into the upper and lower cover. He stated if midas had repaired the oil leak then the belt would not have broke. I relayed the message to midas and they state they will give me a notarized letter and fax over the tsb report stating that the engine was in running condition before the car was turned over to jim ellis hyundai and that the part is defective. Now i am at a point were my car is still not fixed, i have no transportation and that the engine is ruined. I have filed a complaint with the federal trade commission ref: 6726217.

The brackets on the front and back of the power steering pump have broken3+ times and have caused the vehicle to be towed,pump, serpentine belt, brackets, fluid, and hose to be replaced. I would like to know why and what can be done to prevent this from happening again.please help. Thank you.this has happened several times the most recent was last week. 08/18/2011

I had nothing but trouble with the kia dealer repairs done in yonkers, ny (the kia rep told me that they are no longer affiliated with kia. However, i believe the dealership that oversaw the shop now does repairs at a new location, so beware). I did the transmission recall in november 2008 & had to take back my 2005 sorento 5 times where they told me nothing was wrong but then found other problems to charge me $1,500 for. When i took it to a mechanic to check it out they found that the transmission fluid wasn't replaced after the repair was done. It was extremely dangerous driving the car during that time. While my sorento was in the shop i had them replace the timing chain at around 60,000 and now it appears that the crankshaft pulley bolt was torqued improperly and it snapped off 8/21/09 while i was driving and i almost crashed when my power steering went out. I called national kia and tried to get satisfaction through them, but i was told that after 60,000 miles they no longer have road side assistance. It appears even when they do a repair improperly and send out dangerous vehicles that applies. The first representative i spoke with told me to drive the sorento in--even after i told her that the crank shaft bolt snapped. I told her it wasn't drivable. She told me that basically it was my problem. So i got the manager's boss who told me that they would cover the towing cost if it was found out by them that it was caused by an error in the previous repair. So i guess i have a lemon that is falling apart at 64,000 miles. This is incredibly disheartening. Now i have to get a tow truck to take the sorento to a different kia dealer repair shop that is in the bronx. I feel very powerless in dealing with this supposed great warranty. See tsb no. Kt2009081001 issued 8/09 that they have on the proper installation of the crankshaft pulley bolt. How many improperly torqued bolts are out there and are going to fail?the crank shaft is being replaced in my car.

I am contacting odi nhtsa about a problem with my toyota corolla 2005, regarding the replacement of the charcoal vapor canister.back, in october 2007, my car's check engine light came on (this was when the mileage was around 41,200).by 'glen toyota nj' i came to know that the engine light was on, dew charcoal canister failure. Also i was told: because the warranty is expired after 36000 miles, the total repair around $480 was paid by me.my frustration is, that it broke after warranty, but s l i g h t l y over 36,000 miles.ithink, that according to federal regulations in toughening car emission requirements, an emission control device should last longer than just two and a half years. Also i learned that usa government obligated all car manufacturers to extendwarranty for exhaust system up to 80,000 miles.if you are in power, this is the right time to extend the warranty up to 80,000for emissioncontrol system devices.also because of a huge amount of complains, particularly for charcoal vapor canisters toyotamanufacturer should pronounce a recall. 1999 olds alero gls, bought the car in may,2004 with 23,000 miles on it. From day 1 i have had nothing but problems with it mostly brakes, car has extended warranty on it. The rotors grind, pulsate, squeak, the calipers make cracking noises sometimes brake pedal goes to floor. The dealership refuses to fix the problem or says it will not do it for the mechanic, when i drop it off i allowed the service manager to hear it he also verified the sound, only to get the car back being told it won't do it.the rotors have been replaced 4x the brakes 3x the calipers 2x, i still have the problem. Cd player will not work told by dealership it is the humidity doing it which i live in philadelphia and it is winter there is no humidity. Told dealership about a squeezing noise under hood got car back and told they could not find anything wrong with it, i get home and pop the hood and find a grease like residue on the serpentine belt, i later find the water pump leaking. Car loses power and a metal banging noise occurs from under the hood under acceleration, dealership says cannot find the problem. I go back to the dealership and tell them about the brakes and water pump, the tell me that they cannot satisfy me and they will not service the car and not to bring it to them any more. In one month i was at the dealershipfor the same problem, it still is not fixed, with each time having to pay a $100.00 deductible. I contact gmthe say car is to old and there is nothing they can do for me. The car has 56,000 miles on it and the warranty does not expire until 60,000 or may,2006. I am getting ready to trade it in for a toyota.

I bought a radiator cap with a temp. Gauge for my honda valkyrie motorcycle.the temp. Gauge fogged up on mine, but on our valkyrie forum other person got sprayed with anti-freeze. The cap is in our line of sight and in some cases if you are in traffic the temps. Can reach over 200deg. And if the cap lets loose you have major injury to the driver. The thermocap are made by mr. Gasket/thermocap#2473si sent three e-mails explaining the problem after the tech. Support told me it was leaking they would not response. These are being sold on ebay and other distributors to people with liquid cooled motorcycles. In my option this could be a recipe for disaster. I don't want to see anyone sprayed with hot anti-freeze or get hurt. Tire valve stem failed. Sudden loss of air.ruined the tire. Valve stem says-made in germany,78/9/8,tr413.this was installed at sams club on 11/02/06 with a new set of tires.sams warranty replaced the tire and valve stem for $15.

Seems my 2006 ford taurus has this common condition. I noticed the damp padding on the front passenger side only after hearing a squishy sound when i pressed down on it while adjusting the mat. So i pulled the carpet up and sure enough the padding was wet like a sponge. I could see where the water seems to come from the firewall on the passenger side, near the center console.this problem is very annoying and makes me unable to concentrate on the driving. Ford should recall to fix this common problem for all taurus owners. This is obviously a factory defect!

Not long after i purchased my 2002 blazer, i started noticing that at random times the motor would start racing when i started the engine.it ran very loud for a period of time and then would finally slow down.while driving the vehicle this would also happen.the rpms rapidly increase when accelerating, and it would make a loud roaring noise, but the vehicle doesn't go any faster.i took it in to the shop and was told this was normal, that it was the clutch fan.it is extremely hard to believe that this is normal for a new vehicle.i have had the blazer since april of 2002 and it continues to do this and has sometimes put me in very unsafe positions.this problem seems to me to be more of a transmission problem than a fan.i have also had problems with the fuel gauge.it will show empty when it has plenty of gas.it has showed low on fuel, and then when i stop to get fuel, it will not take any gas.but then i have run out of gas right after trying to put some in the tank.the third problem is the left front door hinge.the pin continuously works out of position and it feels like the door is about to fall off and it doesn't close properly and i have to have the pin knocked back into position.also, at the time i purchased the vehicle, it had a cassette player and the dealership agreed to install a cd player as part of the purchase agreement.the vehicle also had optional controls on the steering wheel.when they installed the cd player, the controls on the steering wheel no longer worked.when i asked them about this, they just said that this cd player could not be controlled from the steering wheel contols and left it at that.i think they should have installed one that could have functioned the same as the factory installed equipment.

I would like to complain about the increasing number of intense blue headlights on the road.i can not look at these lights, if i do i am temporarily blinded and have residual vision disturbances for several hours following.it is similar to what happens when you look at a welding arc (although less severe).therefore, now when i see these headlights in the distance, i have to either shut my eyes or hold my hand up in front of my face to shield my eyes from the light.please outlaw these lights, they are a serious safety hazard.fortunately very few cars are using these lights at present, but if they proliferate, the hazard will be extreme. I purchased the auto vent visors for my 1997 ford explorer.i installed the front and rear visors exactly as described in the installation instructions.the rear visors failed to close properly and pushed the entire window channel upward.i had to go to a specialty dealer and was charged $10. The product did not perform as stated by the company. I called their customer rep and she stated repeatedly that they do not deal with consumers and ship in bulk to authorized dealers. The dealer stated that the rear visors have to be filed down in order to work properly.

I take very good care of my 2004 ford explorer. When i was hand washing it i noticed a crack in my back hatch.

I got a recall on my dodge avenger, due to a plate on the shifter, i took itto dealer, they replaced the part, and less then 2 mo. My car locked in park and unable to get to go into gear, had to have car towed to dealer again and they had to replace the shifter, they charge me $100. And said it was deductible , i feel it was not my place to have to pay to fix a part that has been recalled, and they messed up. The dealer said they hadseveral shifter to have to replaced since they changed out the recalled part.

On august 10, 2004 i had an accident on my kawasaki eliminator motorcycle which has a motorcycle tour conversion voyager kit attached.i was lucky not too get killed.i received stitches, lacerations & bruises.kit will be removed from my bike and is available for viewing.

Transmission has been replaced 3 times and now needs a new one again. Airbag light come on, horn quit working and cruise control quit all at the same time. When heater is on in the defrost strong smell of gas fumes, overwhelming at times. Freon leaks out over a 2 week period when it is refilled. Replaced ac unit still have the same problem. Brakes need replaced very often, dont last long at all. Enterior light does not work when drivers side door opens. Reverse lights quit working.

I had purchased a set of 1996-2000 honda civic carbon fiber euro tails from optionracing. On their website,they claim the lights are sae/d.o.t. Stamped, and i called in to make sure. They told me they were,and street legal.well,3 days later i purchased and received them. The next day,it rained and when i went to my car, i noticed the drivers side outer tailamp was halfway full of water! and i wasn't even driving! i called them, and was old to silicone repair them myself. When i complained,they told me all sales were final,even though it was only 2 days after i received my lights.so i used a blowdryer and dried the lights myself,and used silicone on the edges to seal them.approx 2 weeks later,i was stopped by arcadia police department. They told me my tailamps were illegal,and i would have to take them off.i didnt get a ticket,but was told to replace them because the color was pink,not red.also,it needs a side reflector,and i pointed out the lights had the sae/dot approval stamp,and the officer got a little mad,and told me they weren't and it makes no difference if they are stamped,they were illegal,and thats my fault for not making sure.but i did call before i bought them. So then i called this company again,and told them what happenned,and they told me the lights were legal because they had the dot number. So they wouldn't give me any refund or replacement. So then when i looked on the internet,i found this website,and hope you can help.the number on the box was sk3700-cv96-2d-p and had sonar auto parts. The option racing company told me they were the import company for the lights,so they should be responsible,but instead,told me to contact that sonar in taiwan,china.i sent a letter,but never got any reply.thank you.

Front driver floor mat interfered with accelerator and brake causing rear end collision in bumper to bumper traffic. I could not apply brake because floor mat had come to rest on the accelerator. Unaware of this, when car in front of me stopped, i applied my brakes and my car would not stop. I have front end damage. I didn't know what was happening. I discovered the mat corner had come to rest on the accelerator. The other car was a gm yukon and did not sustain damage. Not knowing what was wrong and afraid something would happen again while driving, i pulled up the mat, which was clipped down at back of the mat near the driver seat, during the ride, and threw it in the back seat. I am taking my car for an estimated damage tomorrow. Later, other people told me this is a common problem!! i never heard of this before!!! should i report this to gm chevrolet div? i was shocked at the total non-control i had of my car when this episode happened, thank god, i did not damage the other vehicle.

The speed control deactivation switch caught on fire and burnt the brake fluid bottle and some scored paint under the hood and some wiring.when we contacted ford they said this vehicle didn't fall under this recall.now ford says it does and we had already repaired it at our expense.when we looked this up on the net it said it was already done in 1996, but how could it when they said it didn;t fall into the recall since it was a e150.

Something has to be done about blackout tail and break lights. These blackout cover darken the lights so much you can't see brake or turn signals. You think the vehicle ahead is just going slow and then realize it's stopped.

Saddleman seat covers in neoprene for 2005 honda element are toxic.purchased them and they smelled so bad, i had to wash them.they still stink and i cannot use them.the manufacturer will not take them back.i tried by informing them of the problem and then once denied, i tried paypal whom i used to purchase them.i have purchased seat covers and did not have this problem.the smell is obnoxious and toxic to the nth degree. They were purchased from saddleman seat covers just recently.i spoke to them and they do not seem to care.i would never have a child breathe in the noxious fumes that they emit. They make me nauseous when i pulled them out of the box.

I had purchased a 2007 ford expedition with heavy duty trailer tow the class iv and the vehicle did not come with trailer tow mirrors. I had just purchased a trailer and have blind spots and am trying to find mirrors but there are none for me to use. I try asking ford if i could use the ones from and f-150 but they cannot guarantee anything because it is not on the accessory list. I think this is a big safety risk since the vehicle is equipped to tow up to a 9000lb trailer and if you cannot see then why sell the trailer tow package if you cannot use it.

I purchased some after-market nerf/step bars to fit my new 2009 chevrolet silverado 2500hd crew cab pickup.the steps were installed on friday 06/04/2010 according to the manufacturers instructions.the steps were made by dee zee inc. Of des moines, ia and the model number of the product is 17053c.on 06/06/2010 at approximately 2230 hours, my wife was placing a two year old child into her child safety seat while standing on the plastic step area of the step bar.the plastic step area broke from the metal step bar, causing my wife to fall to the ground.on her way to the ground, both of my wife's upper shins of her legs struck the truck floor and the step bars, causing a large amount of bruising to her legs.i removed the step bars the next day and have contacted the retailer for a return and refund of the product.

I own a 2006 jeep commander. We love this vehicle. However 2 of our inside door handles have broken. The driver's door handle and back seat left door handle.. In seeing all of the posts regarding this same problem with other jeep commander owners it looks like this is a consistent problem. It is absolutely a safety issue for my children, myself and anyone inside the car. My son switched the child safety lock on the backseat (left side) door as well and now because the door handle is broken we are unable to switch it back. Therefore, the only way that passenger can get out of the car is if someone opens the door from the outside. Door latches/handles breaking is an enormous safety problem and viable reason for a recall. We are requesting an investigation into this matter for consideration of a recall.

2007 saab 9-3 4 door does not allow an infant car seat to be installed.the backseat is too short to allow the infant car seat to be installed .i have contacted baby seat companies and the are all the similar length,my concern is how can a new family car known for safety be allowed on the road and a 4 door not allow me to bring my infant child back from the hospital?why have latches and all the other safety features if one can not fit a infant car seat rear facing?if one spends over 30,000 for a new vehicle i expect to be able to bring a new born child home from the hospital.i called saab and they could not give me an answer. There should be a re-call.

Front driver floor mat interfered with accelerator and brake causing rear end collision in bumper to bumper traffic. I could not apply brake because floor mat had come to rest on the accelerator. Unaware of this, when car in front of me stopped, i applied my brakes and my car would not stop. I have front end damage. I didn't know what was happening. I discovered the mat corner had come to rest on the accelerator. The other car was a gm yukon and did not sustain damage. Not knowing what was wrong and afraid something would happen again while driving, i pulled up the mat, which was clipped down at back of the mat near the driver seat, during the ride, and threw it in the back seat. I am taking my car for an estimated damage tomorrow. Later, other people told me this is a common problem!! i never heard of this before!!! should i report this to gm chevrolet div? i was shocked at the total non-control i had of my car when this episode happened, thank god, i did not damage the other vehicle.

On august 10, 2004 i had an accident on my kawasaki eliminator motorcycle which has a motorcycle tour conversion voyager kit attached.i was lucky not too get killed.i received stitches, lacerations & bruises.kit will be removed from my bike and is available for viewing.

Since this is the 4th time this has occurred, i felt that this is worth reporting.spring 2007: oe throttle body replacement on saab2001, 9-3 2.0l turbo sedan, 82,000mi., ~ 1 month later: replacement because of defective part, spring 2009: throttle body replacement (same car), april 1, 2010 was told again throttle body is defective. Diagnostic code each time: p1531 - pedal position out of range.

With no warning, my car's electrical system will start failing. Lights will dim, rpm and speed gauges reset and the car stalls with in a matter of minutes. The vehicle will not start again and has to be towed to the dealership. Vehicle has left me stranded 5+ times because of this. The failure is in the alternator to the car and possibly the battery as well which both have only ever been the manufacturers parts. I have had to have my battery replaced 4 times and my alternator 5+ times it is obvious that there is a substantial problem with this car's electrical system.the car is not dependable at all and causes more stress, money,& time than it is worth.these issues should be addressed by the ford motor company.

When i started 2006 chrysler 300 and attempted to put in gear, the gear shifter would not work. The vehicle was stuck in park. I had to have vehicle towed to dealership and they had to replace the transmission shifter assembly. I had to pay for towing ($130.40), rental car($86.00), and to replace the shifter assembly($249.18)! the service rep said to keep receipt because this was a big problem with that particular model and this should be a recall repair. But not at that time. The car had 40,556 miles on it when this incedent happened.

I am describing an event that occurs repeatedly among older drivers.they put their turn signal on, and it does not switch off and they don't know it because their hearing ability has diminished.they then make a turn to the opposite direction of what their turn signal indicates and either cause an accident or have a close call.

I have frequently experienced problems with xenon headlamps. I have been blinded by the glare hundreds of times and am sick of it. I cannot see from my rearview mirrors and have nearly been in accidents a few times since the headlamps are so obnoxious. Car manufacturers and consumers should not be allowed to use these lamps. They may help the driver see road signs, but what good does it do when they blind everyone else on the road?

I have 2006 saturn ion 3 and there is something going on with the passlock which delay the time of my car starting i have to wait 10 minutes before i could get my car to start.

Two weeks ago i was driving on a highway using a gps device for navigation. The device in question was tomtom one xls that i purchased a year ago. The device was attached to the windshield via a suction cup that came with it. Suddenly the device separated from the windshield, fell on the dashboard, and then on the floor. Due to the sudden nature of the event this has caused me to lose control of the vehicle for at least two seconds that could have caused an accident.i contacted the manufacture and informed it about the problem. Unfortunately, no action is taken and tomtom doesn't want to acknowledge the design problem with the gps mount and issue a recall. The problem, however, is well known and there are many references to it on the internet. Tomtom is aware of the problem as the suction mount was redesigned for the subsequent models.i believe one day defective gps mount will cause an accident to an unsuspecting driver.

Fuel pump failed and replaced at dealership who in return refused to give back the full tank of gas i thought i had (i filled up that morning and brought it straight there) another malfunction??? they say i brought it in at 1/4 tank???? the car still sputters!!!! what the [xxx]. Also>>>>>paint is horribly peeling off trunk. My car will be green in no time. Again dealer wont even answer phone calls because i am off warranty (as if driving miles would actually have anything to do with the peeling of paint) moisture in the front headlight never goes away. No scds parts have been sent to my local ford dealer.

Rear back passenger window was fixed(regulator) 2 yrs. Ago.now same problem has recurred, i called the jeep recall number and they tell me there is no recall for the 2002 jeep liberty, i think that is negligence on their part as a auto company not respecting that this is a widespread problem, i am 1 out of thousands of people with the same exact problem. With the window going down at any given time it poses a problem for the glassto shatter creating a problem for whomever is in the back seat. I am very upset that the dealership won't acknowledge this problem, i need them to understand it is a mechanical fault of theirs.

I bought a radiator cap with a temp. Gauge for my honda valkyrie motorcycle.the temp. Gauge fogged up on mine, but on our valkyrie forum other person got sprayed with anti-freeze. The cap is in our line of sight and in some cases if you are in traffic the temps. Can reach over 200deg. And if the cap lets loose you have major injury to the driver. The thermocap are made by mr. Gasket/thermocap#2473si sent three e-mails explaining the problem after the tech. Support told me it was leaking they would not response. These are being sold on ebay and other distributors to people with liquid cooled motorcycles. In my option this could be a recipe for disaster. I don't want to see anyone sprayed with hot anti-freeze or get hurt. The brackets on the front and back of the power steering pump have broken3+ times and have caused the vehicle to be towed,pump, serpentine belt, brackets, fluid, and hose to be replaced. Driver side window fell while driving.

I have a complaint against zimbrick east - madison wii have had several repair issues with my car, such as the engine was never mounted properly, which caused my engine to shift left and right everytime i turned the wheel, i bought my car used and it still is currently under warranty.there have been several other issues, for further questions please contact me by email thank you for your time.

Front left coil spring broke and slashed tire with no warning at all; could have caused a horrific highway accident while traveling at 65mph. Ford has recalledcoil springs for sables and taurus model of 2001 no further. There is clearly a serious problem. Snow states have had recalls due to salt corrosion to spring causing sudden fractures. The out come for repair; replaced coil spring, shock;bearing and new tire totaling 780.00. My concern now is do i replace the other 3 coil springs to the tune of 150.00 before the same issue arises again!!!ford should take the blame and offer the replacement before too many more serious accidents occur.

I receive a recall notice on my ford grand marquis -1995 to disconnect my cruise control because it may cause a fire (recall number 05s28).on september 14, 2007 we took our vehicle to mathews ford in heath ohio to have the cruise control disabled.we were told the part would be in some time in january.after calling and checking on the part for quit sometime, the part finally arrive and was install on april 8, 2008.after the part was install, my cruise control did not work.it had been working fine prior to the cruise control being disabled.i returned to mathews ford on april 25, 2008 to complain that my cruise control did not work.i was informed that they would look at it, but if it was not the part they replaced i would be charge $70 for them to look at it and receive an estimate to fix the problem.i refused the service.i do not feel this is proper. It was working before they messed with.if they would of made the repair in september and it worked afterwards and then later broke i would understand.they are telling me something could of happened since they disabled it.well something may of happened while it was disabled for 8-9 months it was disabled, but since i could not use it, it does not make sense.i feel they should return my vehicle to the condition it was in before they messed with it.at a minimum, i should not have to pay money for them to diagnose a problem they caused!if they diagnosed it and it was another part--then i could decide how to proceed and i should not be locked into a service center that i would not normally use.i feel like the fox is watching the hen house.is there anyway i can get this issue resolved without having to pay a dealership?i thank you for your time in this matter.mark shell

I bought a car lift rated at 10,000lbs from america pride inc. I lifted my car for testing and the lift would not lift it at the same rate one side faster than the other. I contacted the company which only responds to emailstheir technician agreed with me on my installation and recommending several things to resolve the uneven lifting i proceeded with his recommendations and nothing worked. Finally the lift broke and the truck adjusted and fell to the floor. My truck is a full size chevrolet 2500 diesel weighing 7,800lbs that nearly fell on me.after doing some research americas pride inc claims on their web sit that all the lifts they offer are in compliance and certifiedwith the automotive lift institute however when contacting the ali they said americas pride inc had no affiliation with them and had no right to use their logo or standards for building a safe automobile lift. What i found was very disturbing american pride inc has been selling chinese imported lifts to unsuspecting customers and misrepresenting them as lifts that were built to certain standards.fortunately i did not get injured or killed when my lift broke.i was concerned for the safety of me as well as other customers who may not be aware the lift would not even lift the rated amount of weight. Instead of offering my money back he offered me a retro fit from rollers that had broken' to slide blocks which they claim on their website are inferior to rollers. I find this extremely unprofessional i feel he knows there is a serious design flaw in his lift then to offer me a retrofit, how about the other people who purchased that lift did they get a recall notice that the automobile could fall on them. Someone will die with this product it is unregulated, unsafe, and i think the nhtsa should look into it.

Sunday sept 11, 2005- my car would not accelerate on i-285 west bound i had to coast over to the side of the road amidst sunday traffic,they confirmed that my timing belt had popped car towed to midas gave me a tsb report stating that the timing belt covered had cracked and that is what made the timing belt pop, which in turn is a manufacturing. I called the consumer affairs and left a complaint with matt-file: 939520 he said i needed to have a hyundai dealership look at the car to make sure in fact this is the problem, bc i have over 147,000 miles on the car and it is no longer under warranty. Jim ellis hyundai looked at my car in service and did a diagnostic test,stated that the maintenance on the upper and lower cover is what caused the timing belt to break. They could fix the timing belt and the upper and lower cover and the crankshaft seal -which is leaking. Jim calls me back and states that the engine is gone and would need to replace the engine for the car to work again. He said that midas must have been trying to start the car with a new timing belt which locked the engine up, i told him that midas just checked the car and nothing was wrong with the engine, jim had another technician to look at it this morning to see if the upper and lower cover is causing the timing belt to break. Jim calls me back and states that the crankshaft sealed had leaked onto the upper and lower cover and caused the timing belt to slip, which in turn caused the crack into the upper and lower cover. He stated if midas had repaired the oil leak then the belt would not have broke. I relayed the message to midas and they state they will give me a notarized letter and fax over the tsb report stating that the engine was in running condition before the car was turned over to jim ellis hyundai and that the part is defective. Now i am at a point were my car is still not fixed, i have no transportation and that the engine is ruined. I have filed a complaint with the federal trade commission ref: 6726217.

1999 olds alero gls, bought the car in may,2004 with 23,000 miles on it. From day 1 i have had nothing but problems with it mostly brakes, car has extended warranty on it. The rotors grind, pulsate, squeak, the calipers make cracking noises sometimes brake pedal goes to floor. The dealership refuses to fix the problem or says it will not do it for the mechanic, when i drop it off i allowed the service manager to hear it he also verified the sound, only to get the car back being told it won't do it.the rotors have been replaced 4x the brakes 3x the calipers 2x, i still have the problem. Cd player will not work told by dealership it is the humidity doing it which i live in philadelphia and it is winter there is no humidity. Told dealership about a squeezing noise under hood got car back and told they could not find anything wrong with it, i get home and pop the hood and find a grease like residue on the serpentine belt, i later find the water pump leaking. Car loses power and a metal banging noise occurs from under the hood under acceleration, dealership says cannot find the problem. I go back to the dealership and tell them about the brakes and water pump, the tell me that they cannot satisfy me and they will not service the car and not to bring it to them any more. In one month i was at the dealershipfor the same problem, it still is not fixed, with each time having to pay a $100.00 deductible. I contact gmthe say car is to old and there is nothing they can do for me. The car has 56,000 miles on it and the warranty does not expire until 60,000 or may,2006. I am getting ready to trade it in for a toyota.

Husky centerline ts weight distribution hitch with sway control.the hitch has not controlled the sway on my trailer from the initial installation.after 13 days of trying to resolve the problem, the distributor has admitted that there is a defect in the hitch which is responsible for the problem.to date they refuse to take the hitch back and refund my money.any similar husky hitch may experience the same problem and could be subject to failure causing an accident.the defect is in either the trunions or spring bars or both.

No recalls were present at the time. They denied any problem when car crashed. Called an attorney who was a relative that told without a doubt (100%) the car would do this. He then called me back and stated he could not represent me because he represented daimler-chrysler. He was hired by chrysler after he bought a viper from them that was a lemon and he shoved it you know where and won. They realized what an outstanding attorney he was then hired him. Talk about family ethics. They finally installed the secondary detent system in 12/2008. I was told it was repaired.2 the car is stalling at high speeds,during u turns, while at stop signs. It to dangerous to drive. Jeep keeps telling me they can not find anything on diagnostics. I was out of town 250 miles from home and they want me to drive an unsafe vehicle back to the. They have been rude,evasive and blaming me. After 500.00 there diagnostics showed nothing. It has been to 5 other mechanics and know one has been able to diagnose the problem. I now have a 1997 grand cherokee limited that is loaded that is dangerous and worth nothing.3 if they insist on arbitration and a chance to fix it you will lose. It is worth your money to hire a lemon law attorney from the very beginning.

I got a recall on my dodge avenger, due to a plate on the shifter, i took itto dealer, they replaced the part, and less then 2 mo. My car locked in park and unable to get to go into gear, had to have car towed to dealer again and they had to replace the shifter, they charge me $100. And said it was deductible , i feel it was not my place to have to pay to fix a part that has been recalled, and they messed up. The dealer said they hadseveral shifter to have to replaced since they changed out the recalled part.

Transmission has been replaced 3 times and now needs a new one again. Airbag light come on, horn quit working and cruise control quit all at the same time. When heater is on in the defrost strong smell of gas fumes, overwhelming at times. Freon leaks out over a 2 week period when it is refilled. Replaced ac unit still have the same problem. Brakes need replaced very often, dont last long at all. Enterior light does not work when drivers side door opens. Reverse lights quit working.

Not long after i purchased my 2002 blazer, i started noticing that at random times the motor would start racing when i started the engine.it ran very loud for a period of time and then would finally slow down.while driving the vehicle this would also happen.the rpms rapidly increase when accelerating, and it would make a loud roaring noise, but the vehicle doesn't go any faster.i took it in to the shop and was told this was normal, that it was the clutch fan.it is extremely hard to believe that this is normal for a new vehicle.i have had the blazer since april of 2002 and it continues to do this and has sometimes put me in very unsafe positions.this problem seems to me to be more of a transmission problem than a fan.i have also had problems with the fuel gauge.it will show empty when it has plenty of gas.it has showed low on fuel, and then when i stop to get fuel, it will not take any gas.but then i have run out of gas right after trying to put some in the tank.the third problem is the left front door hinge.the pin continuously works out of position and it feels like the door is about to fall off and it doesn't close properly and i have to have the pin knocked back into position.also, at the time i purchased the vehicle, it had a cassette player and the dealership agreed to install a cd player as part of the purchase agreement.the vehicle also had optional controls on the steering wheel.when they installed the cd player, the controls on the steering wheel no longer worked.when i asked them about this, they just said that this cd player could not be controlled from the steering wheel contols and left it at that.i think they should have installed one that could have functioned the same as the factory installed equipment.

The dealership refuses to fix the problem or says it will not do it for the mechanic, when i drop it off i allowed the service manager to hear it he also verified the sound, only to get the car back being told it won't do it.the rotors have been replaced 4x the brakes 3x the calipers 2x, i still have the problem. Cd player will not work told by dealership it is the humidity doing it which i live in philadelphia and it is winter there is no humidity. Told dealership about a squeezing noise under hood got car back and told they could not find anything wrong with it, i get home and pop the hood and find a grease like residue on the serpentine belt, i later find the water pump leaking. Car loses power and a metal banging noise occurs from under the hood under acceleration, dealership says cannot find the problem. I go back to the dealership and tell them about the brakes and water pump, the tell me that they cannot satisfy me and they will not service the car and not to bring it to them any more. In one month i was at the dealershipfor the same problem, it still is not fixed, with each time having to pay a $100.00 deductible. I contact gmthe say car is to old and there is nothing they can do for me. The car has 56,000 miles on it and the warranty does not expire until 60,000 or may,2006. I am getting ready to trade it in for a toyota.

No recalls were present at the time. They denied any problem when car crashed. Called an attorney who was a relative that told without a doubt (100%) the car would do this. He then called me back and stated he could not represent me because he represented daimler-chrysler. He was hired by chrysler after he bought a viper from them that was a lemon and he shoved it you know where and won. They realized what an outstanding attorney he was then hired him. Talk about family ethics. They finally installed the secondary detent system in 12/2008. I was told it was repaired.2 the car is stalling at high speeds,during u turns, while at stop signs. It to dangerous to drive. Jeep keeps telling me they can not find anything on diagnostics. I was out of town 250 miles from home and they want me to drive an unsafe vehicle back to the. They have been rude,evasive and blaming me. After 500.00 there diagnostics showed nothing. It has been to 5 other mechanics and know one has been able to diagnose the problem. I now have a 1997 grand cherokee limited that is loaded that is dangerous and worth nothing.3 if they insist on arbitration and a chance to fix it you will lose. It is worth your money to hire a lemon law attorney from the very beginning.

They also put out the fire.major front end damage and no air bags deployed.dodge denied any responcibillity a claim was filed have the letters and email.the dealers added further injury by charging as much as possible and high interestfor a new magnum sxt.made it impossible to buy the rt model.. 2007 saab 9-3 4 door does not allow an infant car seat to be installed.the backseat is too short to allow the infant car seat to be installed .i have contacted baby seat companies and the are all the similar length,my concern is how can a new family car known for safety be allowed on the road and a 4 door not allow me to bring my infant child back from the hospital?why have latches and all the other safety features if one can not fit a infant car seat rear facing?if one spends over 30,000 for a new vehicle i expect to be able to bring a new born child home from the hospital.i called saab and they could not give me an answer. There should be a re-call.

This is a crap car, i can only hope for the best of the next few years as i have paid off the [xxx] thing. 2000 ford focus. Fuel pump failed and replaced at dealership who in return refused to give back the full tank of gas i thought i had (i filled up that morning and brought it straight there) another malfunction??? they say i brought it in at 1/4 tank???? the car still sputters!!!! what the [xxx]. The brackets on the front and back of the power steering pump have broken3+ times and have caused the vehicle to be towed,pump, serpentine belt, brackets, fluid, and hose to be replaced. I would like to know why and what can be done to prevent this from happening again.please help. Thank you.this has happened several times the most recent was last week. 08/18/2011

I purchased some after-market nerf/step bars to fit my new 2009 chevrolet silverado 2500hd crew cab pickup.the steps were installed on friday 06/04/2010 according to the manufacturers instructions.the steps were made by dee zee inc. Of des moines, ia and the model number of the product is 17053c.on 06/06/2010 at approximately 2230 hours, my wife was placing a two year old child into her child safety seat while standing on the plastic step area of the step bar.the plastic step area broke from the metal step bar, causing my wife to fall to the ground.on her way to the ground, both of my wife's upper shins of her legs struck the truck floor and the step bars, causing a large amount of bruising to her legs.i removed the step bars the next day and have contacted the retailer for a return and refund of the product.

Seems my 2006 ford taurus has this common condition. I noticed the damp padding on the front passenger side only after hearing a squishy sound when i pressed down on it while adjusting the mat. So i pulled the carpet up and sure enough the padding was wet like a sponge. I could see where the water seems to come from the firewall on the passenger side, near the center console.this problem is very annoying and makes me unable to concentrate on the driving. Ford should recall to fix this common problem for all taurus owners. This is obviously a factory defect!

I purchased the auto vent visors for my 1997 ford explorer.i installed the front and rear visors exactly as described in the installation instructions.the rear visors failed to close properly and pushed the entire window channel upward.i had to go to a specialty dealer and was charged $10. The product did not perform as stated by the company. I called their customer rep and she stated repeatedly that they do not deal with consumers and ship in bulk to authorized dealers. The dealer stated that the rear visors have to be filed down in order to work properly.

I own a 2006 jeep commander. We love this vehicle. However 2 of our inside door handles have broken. The driver's door handle and back seat left door handle.. In seeing all of the posts regarding this same problem with other jeep commander owners it looks like this is a consistent problem. It is absolutely a safety issue for my children, myself and anyone inside the car. My son switched the child safety lock on the backseat (left side) door as well and now because the door handle is broken we are unable to switch it back. Therefore, the only way that passenger can get out of the car is if someone opens the door from the outside. Door latches/handles breaking is an enormous safety problem and viable reason for a recall. We are requesting an investigation into this matter for consideration of a recall.

I take very good care of my 2004 ford explorer. When i was hand washing it i noticed a crack in my back hatch.

Just happen don't no why the bottom frame of the lift gate has two cracks and im afraid that one of these days the glass may fall off the frame and cause an accident, thanks hope we gethelp with this problem.

Front left coil spring broke and slashed tire with no warning at all; could have caused a horrific highway accident while traveling at 65mph. Ford has recalledcoil springs for sables and taurus model of 2001 no further. There is clearly a serious problem. Snow states have had recalls due to salt corrosion to spring causing sudden fractures. The out come for repair; replaced coil spring, shock;bearing and new tire totaling 780.00. My concern now is do i replace the other 3 coil springs to the tune of 150.00 before the same issue arises again!!!ford should take the blame and offer the replacement before too many more serious accidents occur.

Tire valve stem failed. Sudden loss of air.ruined the tire. Valve stem says-made in germany,78/9/8,tr413.this was installed at sams club on 11/02/06 with a new set of tires.sams warranty replaced the tire and valve stem for $15.

Aerosal canister evaporated after having it for a month. It had never been opeed. It's from fuel system dryer & antifreeze; heet automative division; demert & dougherty inc. Westchester il 60154.

I receive a recall notice on my ford grand marquis -1995 to disconnect my cruise control because it may cause a fire (recall number 05s28).on september 14, 2007 we took our vehicle to mathews ford in heath ohio to have the cruise control disabled.we were told the part would be in some time in january.after calling and checking on the part for quit sometime, the part finally arrive and was install on april 8, 2008.after the part was install, my cruise control did not work.it had been working fine prior to the cruise control being disabled.i returned to mathews ford on april 25, 2008 to complain that my cruise control did not work.i was informed that they would look at it, but if it was not the part they replaced i would be charge $70 for them to look at it and receive an estimate to fix the problem.i refused the service.i do not feel this is proper. It was working before they messed with.if they would of made the repair in september and it worked afterwards and then later broke i would understand.they are telling me something could of happened since they disabled it.well something may of happened while it was disabled for 8-9 months it was disabled, but since i could not use it, it does not make sense.i feel they should return my vehicle to the condition it was in before they messed with it.at a minimum, i should not have to pay money for them to diagnose a problem they caused!if they diagnosed it and it was another part--then i could decide how to proceed and i should not be locked into a service center that i would not normally use.i feel like the fox is watching the hen house.is there anyway i can get this issue resolved without having to pay a dealership?i thank you for your time in this matter.mark shell

Not long after i purchased my 2002 blazer, i started noticing that at random times the motor would start racing when i started the engine.it ran very loud for a period of time and then would finally slow down.while driving the vehicle this would also happen.the rpms rapidly increase when accelerating, and it would make a loud roaring noise, but the vehicle doesn't go any faster.i took it in to the shop and was told this was normal, that it was the clutch fan.it is extremely hard to believe that this is normal for a new vehicle.i have had the blazer since april of 2002 and it continues to do this and has sometimes put me in very unsafe positions.this problem seems to me to be more of a transmission problem than a fan.i have also had problems with the fuel gauge.it will show empty when it has plenty of gas.it has showed low on fuel, and then when i stop to get fuel, it will not take any gas.but then i have run out of gas right after trying to put some in the tank.the third problem is the left front door hinge.the pin continuously works out of position and it feels like the door is about to fall off and it doesn't close properly and i have to have the pin knocked back into position.also, at the time i purchased the vehicle, it had a cassette player and the dealership agreed to install a cd player as part of the purchase agreement.the vehicle also had optional controls on the steering wheel.when they installed the cd player, the controls on the steering wheel no longer worked.when i asked them about this, they just said that this cd player could not be controlled from the steering wheel contols and left it at that.i think they should have installed one that could have functioned the same as the factory installed equipment.

The speed control deactivation switch caught on fire and burnt the brake fluid bottle and some scored paint under the hood and some wiring.when we contacted ford they said this vehicle didn't fall under this recall.now ford says it does and we had already repaired it at our expense.when we looked this up on the net it said it was already done in 1996, but how could it when they said it didn;t fall into the recall since it was a e150.

Two weeks ago i was driving on a highway using a gps device for navigation. The device in question was tomtom one xls that i purchased a year ago. The device was attached to the windshield via a suction cup that came with it. Suddenly the device separated from the windshield, fell on the dashboard, and then on the floor. Due to the sudden nature of the event this has caused me to lose control of the vehicle for at least two seconds that could have caused an accident.i contacted the manufacture and informed it about the problem. Unfortunately, no action is taken and tomtom doesn't want to acknowledge the design problem with the gps mount and issue a recall. The problem, however, is well known and there are many references to it on the internet. Tomtom is aware of the problem as the suction mount was redesigned for the subsequent models.i believe one day defective gps mount will cause an accident to an unsuspecting driver.

I had purchased a 2007 ford expedition with heavy duty trailer tow the class iv and the vehicle did not come with trailer tow mirrors. I had just purchased a trailer and have blind spots and am trying to find mirrors but there are none for me to use. I try asking ford if i could use the ones from and f-150 but they cannot guarantee anything because it is not on the accessory list. I think this is a big safety risk since the vehicle is equipped to tow up to a 9000lb trailer and if you cannot see then why sell the trailer tow package if you cannot use it.

Driver side window fell while driving.

Rear back passenger window was fixed(regulator) 2 yrs. Ago.now same problem has recurred, i called the jeep recall number and they tell me there is no recall for the 2002 jeep liberty, i think that is negligence on their part as a auto company not respecting that this is a widespread problem, i am 1 out of thousands of people with the same exact problem. With the window going down at any given time it poses a problem for the glassto shatter creating a problem for whomever is in the back seat. I am very upset that the dealership won't acknowledge this problem, i need them to understand it is a mechanical fault of theirs.
