I was involved in a crash on jan 9 2003. A sation wagon took a left turn infront of me.i was driving at about 40 miles per hour with traffic. We collided.my 2000 dodge neon collided with the tire -rear passenger quarter of his staion wagon. Both cars are a total loss. My issue is my airbags did not deploy. I was wearing my seat belt. I feel at 40 miles per hour ,damagingeonough of my front end that both front quaters buckled ,that the bag should of deployed.
A hit on drivers door involving a 2009 toyota corolla in which the side air bag did not deploy resulting in a shoulder injury to driver. No airbag deployment.
I purchased a 2003 ex kia sorento in june 2003. On july 13,2003 the air bag light system came on.the vehicle was taken to barron kia.they stated they replaced the air bag module.it took five days to repair. On november 11, 2003 the air bag light went back on. The vehicle was taken to barron kia on the 14th. It was at the dealership for another six days. They stated it was the lojack alarm system that was causing the problem.it was fixed. On november 29,2003 the airbag light began to flicker on and off. The vehicle was taken back to barron kia on december 3, 2003, in order for a lojack technician to remove the alarm and for barron kia to fix and run test on the airbag. The car was there 11 days and supposedly checked for all airbag possible problems.all test came back normal. On january 19, 2004 the airbag light went back on.the car was once again taken to barron kia on that day. At this point, the alarm is disconnect and the air bag continues to illuminate and indicating that there may be a malfunction with the safety system with the car.the vehicle is still at barron kia (has been their 7 days now) and is awaiting the installation of another airbag module. I have been in contacted with the kia hotline several times as well as lojack customer service. Neither company wants to take responsibility or accountability. It is distressing to me that such companies would jeopardizes the lives of their customers.i am also disturbed that a new car would be sold and returned to me several times with a defective safety system.*la
My son was t-boned by a suv- air lifted to a trauma center, a coma was induced. He remained there for several weeks- we were told he would not live-he now has 7 plates,48 pins, in his face- all his teeth along with bone were ripped from his mouth. Both eye sockets needed to be repaired and his nose was crushed. Lastly, his jaw was wired for months and another full blown surgery was needed. Why? because the air bag on the side passenger door did not deploy. Why because jaguar said it was not hit at a certain angle. Well there was no passenger door at all. I am upset and confused how jaguar can get away with this?
Rear ended a car not my fault at about 35 miles per hour air bag on my 2007 ford ranger failed to deploy this was injune 2008 truck only had 27000 miles on it! since air bag failed caught right arm and hand in steering wheel leaving it crippled! i sent my complaints to ford motor company they totaled ignored all my calls and complaints!
Had a car accident 11/07 since that accident & repair the airbag light comes off and on,at all times of the day,no matter what i m doing in the car the light tends to pop on & off. I have taken it into the dealer that did the repairs but it is still a constant problem that hasn't been resolved. I have contact the better business bureau. But nothing was done about it other than a phone call.
I have a 2001 honda accord, 2 years ago the srs light came on and stayed on.i took the car to the dealer and they charged me $118.00 to reset it.this year, september 2008 the light came on again and has stayed on.it is a known problem with honda dealer , yet they will not cover the cost of getting this fixed.now my passenger airbag will not deploy.i have seen many complaints about this same problem.it should be covered by the manufacturer, obviously it is a defect.
I can not find on this site, or anywhere else any test/study of airbag performance relating to vehicle proper windshield standards, specifically repaired rock chips in windshields during an accident where life is dependent upon working airbags and windshield integrity.having been in the safe windshield installation business for over 40 years, i'm concerned that there seems to have been no crash testing of vehicles equipped with front airbags with a windshield that is chipped, cracked, or weakened in any way, either having been "repaired" or not repaired. I am sure that the weakened windshield will not back up the airbag 100% of it's intended design to enable that airbag to provide the full 100% benefit it was designed to do protecting occupants in a collision.
Air bag light does not go out all the time when a passenger is in the passerger seat.
My back panel,under the left gate has split in half. Causing to have to close it twice or sometime slam it. Also we are having an problem with our airbag system. Airbag warning lamp illuminated with dtc b2292.
For the last 6 months "air bag" light comes "on" and remains and goes 'off' intermittently. I took the car to perkins eastside, crestwood, ky-502-241-3042. The dealer told me that the "event" of "air bag on" is not being recorded by the computer and they cannot find the problem. Today, i went to the dealer while the light is "on" and still could not determine the cause. The dealer indicated that the air bag controller module is faulty. This is a safety issue and i am afraid that the air bag wont deploy in case of emergency. I need your help so that the corporation replaces the computer module without any charge to me, because it is an issue of safety and public good.

Wife was driving down hwy 77 arkansas city kansas, making a pass she lost control after she slid off shoulder at bend of the road. Out of the multiple air bags only one deployed the passengers side curtain. After reviewing the crash site and reading report the first hit to the car was drivers side front end, it was a very hard hit. Steering bag should have gone off as it dug into a turn around mound. Went up and down wide median ditch starting a six turn rolling of the 2007 toyota camry. She went out sun roof even though she had seat belt on. Medical report stats seat belt marks and severe leg injuries. She will never be the same and i'm lucky to still have her. I will use all means to find out why the so called safety features on this car did not prevent some of the damage to this wonderful women.
I am so disgusted. I will never buy another chrysler vehicle, nor will i encourage anyone else to do so. I purchased a 1998 chrysler sebring lxi on 6/29/2000. Since that time i have had the following problems:key won't work in trunk all the time. Lack of air bag deployment - 2 different incidents (reported in a previous complaint)passenger side seat belt will open if you just push against it - i have taken the vehicle to the certified service agent (over a year ago) who was supposed to order the part and contact me when it arrived. He never did and now that dealership is not the service agent anymore.driver's side seatbelt twists inside the covered area attached to the interior wall of the vehicle.high-pitched whining sound coming from front driver's side tire area. Have replaced rotors twice.have had to purchase those expensive ($600 - $800) goodyear tires about 4 - 6 times.one day, about 18 months ago, i was on the highway driving to work, going uphill and my car just slowly died. All the lights went out, i could not give it any gas, i could barely steer it and it just rolled to a stop. I kept trying to crank it and nothing happened. I was still partly in the road, so i put it in neutral and tried to back it onto the shoulder. After doing that, i tried to crank it again and it started right up. I drove it to a garage nearby, but they could find nothing wrong.hesitation when going from park to drive.more complaints are being submitted in a subsequent form.
Dear sir/madam,this is to notify you that thursday, 12 august, my mother, a friend and i were involved in a fatal accident while my mother was driving a toyota corolla s 2002. The accident left my mother in a deep fright and withinjuries on her face, as she hit the steering wheel. She is prescribed to go to therapy for over a month to overcome the catastrophe. I, now, suffer from minor back problems caused due to the accident. The accident occurred on one of the most eventful highways of georgia, highway us 78. Our car, traveling on the middle lane, was hit by an isuzu suv rodeo, and after rotating about 180 degrees stopped on the middle of the highway. The entire front bumper fell apart, and the car was beyond recognition from the front. Yesterday, we heard from the repair shop and their assessment was that car is totaled. Most shocking part of the event is that the air bags didnt activate even after such a strong impact of suv coming at around 65 miles an hour speed and hit our toyota corolla (2002) from front. Whereas, the air-bags of the rodeo did not fail to inflate. 2003 pontiac vibe was hit head on by another vehicle and then hit the side guard rail and another car.no air bags (front and sides) deployed, and one back seat passenger's seat belt failed.there were five people in the complainant vehicle were injured.
The failure : safety air bags were not deployed at the moment of accident.night time after 11:00pm. Wild deer jumped from darkness of the corn plants on the hood of my car. Unexpectedly first jump from the right front fender , the deer completed by second jump into darkness of right side of the road. My car has total loss. I want a fair investigation from volkswagen manufacture about the air bags defects. Our lives were under dangerous situation. Please, help us.
My vehicle a ford focus 2009 because of poor visibility went off the road traveling north on hwy 76 (san diego county, palomar mt. Area). The car went off the road at the end of hwy 76 at hwy 79 in the mt. Palomar area near lake henshaw. The air bags failed to deploy despite the front end of the car being severely damaged.
My brother had to drive my vehicle in an emergency case. On the way to return the vehicke to me he crashed the jeep into a telephone pole the vehicle was really damaged although with the impact the police said that the air bags should have come out but didn't at the time i couldn't afford another vehicle the car dealership would not give me another car instead they fixed the same jeep and wanted me to continue paying on it until i was complete. I am still driving the vehicle i am really feeling unsafe in this vehicle with me and my two kids.
. This is my first time owning a cadillac and i must say i absolutely love it! it is a 2007 sts so it is older but in excellent condition with only around 65,000 miles on it. However i have been very recently disappointed by the service response from my airbag malfunction. I recently noticed my air bag light sensor was intermittently turning on and off and immediately brought it into earnhardt cadillac of scottsdale for fear of a safety issue. I received a call from steven from services who explained that the wiring harness would have to be replaced before he could even further diagnose the air bag wiring issue. He explained that the air bag would most likely not deploy in an accident. He explained that the harness itself would be $485 and only once he repaired that would he be able to further evaluate the air bag issue. I asked if cadillac stands behind the repair of such a safety concern and he said only under the warranty and also stated there was no recalls on this car model. I was very disappointed to hear a car with such low mileage would have such a horrific safety issue that cadillac is not willing to repair or replace. I'm reaching out to you to see if indeed that is the case or if cadillac would be willing to repair this safety hazard. I had a honda several years ago and the air bag was replaced immediately for the safety of all drivers and passengers. I'm hoping cadillac would stand behind its reputation and do the same. It appears as if there are several identical complaints about this car model and even some horrific damage to passengers when the air bag did not deploy. This safety issue needs to be recalled and addressed immediately.
My 2002 mini copper has had the air bag light come on on several occasions now.repaired with new wiring harness in 11/03; now in 1/04 bag light has come on again.dealer via phone cannot tell me if the bags work properly until diagnosed.i have checked web forums for this vehicle and this seems to be a widespread problem.i would think nhtsa or someone should look into this to determine if there should be a recall.
Airbag seatbelt dash light erroneously stays on happens frequently dealer has affix for 1000.00 outrageous for a defect . Just comes on no reason the seat belt sensor needs replacing according to dealer . Could mask a real problem if in a small bump to another object or another problem in the safety restraint system . Pcna is aware of this problem .
Drive time sold me a car that had the air bag light on, and said they were going to fix it, but they never did, now they have changed management and the person who promissed to repair is no longer there, leaving me in a position where the new manager says that the cost to fix the problem is not covered by their business.the car spent a week and a half on their repair shop, and nothing was fixed, my dash was scratched from the outside and they broke a piece between the seats.

My son was killed in his 2006 ford 150 pickup truck driving 45 miles an hour. His truck apparently left the road with no signs of brakes being applied, flipped several times. The airbags never deployed. His insurance company was threatening me to release the truck from storage which i did. I have since regained my senses enough to search the web and see that there were many recalls on the brake lines of this make truck.
3rd time crank shaft sensor went in 1 year/5 months. Car only has 60,000 miles. All 3 times, car would not accelerate, check engine light then appears and seconds later the car shuts off. Twice we were on the highway when this happened and lucky we had enough time to get over to the breakdown lane before the car shut down. 3 times in a year and 5 months, this should not happen... Also, the air bag light has been coming on for the last year.
Air bag light comes on, especially after adjusting drivers seat. Stopped car and wiggles wire connection under seat, fixed the issue, but has reoccur several times,. I also received a shock from the wire.

Vehicle was involved in a accident on 1/1/2015 and was hit on the left front of vehicle and the driver and passenger side air bags did not deploy. I request that this be investigated as to why that they did not deploy.
The passenger side airbag seat sensor is malfunctioning and the dash warning reflects that the seat airbag is off. The car is a 2008 pontiac solstice with 16,000 miles. This safety issue has been well documented and the vehicle should be recalled for this safety issue.
Faulty brakes and air bags.
1.the front engine cover gasket on my 1997 ford f-150 was defective.there was a recall at one time on this problem but was checked by a ford dealer and nothing was found to be wrong.approximately 6 months later it had to be replaced.because the recall had expiredford would not replace it for free and so i had to have it replaced at my cost of $600.00.2.air bags and seat belt restraints.my wife had a wreck in the same vehicle and the air bags did not deploy or did the seat belts lock up like they are supposed to.i tried to get ford to explain to me why that would happen and they said the insurance company would have to handle it.the problem was still not solved.also the abs did not work. *nlm

Short term memory loss that i'm going to have for the rest of my life. I am unable to work in my field. If the air bags would have gone off, i would not be going through the depression and treatmeants for the rest of my life until it hopefully gets better.(hyundai elantra) it was a rental car even!

My husband drives a 2002ford ranger truck.. He was in a accident on 3/05/03 when a car pulled out in front of his truck he was going approx. 35 to 40 mph, he hit her car hard enough to flip her car on it's side.my complaint/concern is his air bag did not deploy, he did have on a seat belt and only sustained minor injuries.my concern is if this had been a more serious accident is there a problem with the air bag not deploying.my husband voiced his concerns with the ford service and requested that they evaluate the air bag system, the technicianclaims since the accident was not head on or full frontal hit that this is why it did not deploy.am unable to find info regarding this,so why did it not deploy. An accident happend july 18th to my brother and his son with a 2004ford expedition saudi arabia registration here in jordan in amman city,flippid over few times on the road , but with liability inssurance only ( forcedmandatory insurrance entering jordan ) and the air bag did not comeout. 11-04-2010c/s airbag light came on, pin tension was adjusted on harness from lf seat airbag .was given statement may need a harness and air bag if light returns.no attempt was made to replace the defective air bag and harness at that time. 11-14-2014 the light was back on and toyota co. Tells me that the only way to fix the problem is to replace the air bag and harness and i am being billed approximately $2300.00 for this service. I feel that they should have fixed the problem and replaced the parts in 2010 because of the many safety warnings of possible death and other devastating results from continuing to drive a vehicle that had already been given a stop fix instead of replacing the product when they hada warning of another problem that could have deadly consequences in the future.
Windshield wipers do not work on rainy days making it difficult to see out the windshield.a lady hit my car on the right sidecollapsing that side along the doors and some of the rear and the air bag did not deploy. I put my feet on accelerator for speed and the car refuses to respond. The more i accelerate the slower the car goes. *nlm
At first the windshield wipers would intermittently turn on, then the horn would not work and then the airbag light came on and would only turn off with the key in the off position. Own a 2005 mercury mountaineer.since i've purchased it i've had issues with the airbag light staying on, the seatbelts not registered as being undone and the gas not registering (i fill it up and it says the last amount and will not say it's full until sometimes 2-3 days).i'm most concerned about the airbags and the seatbelts.i seen that earlier models and 2006 have issues with the airbag not deploying.the dealership has replaced the sensor 3 times for the airbag and put in a new seat belt system about 15 mos. Ago.the dealership will not cover it again and says i need to pay for it.this has been an ongoing problem and from the web research, it's not problems that mercury/ford is unaware.these are safety issues.
I have a 03 ford escape, and the trouble is endless. The car will not start at times and it is a strong smell of gas when this happens. I have had it in and out of the shop about 6 times and has had the car for only 2 years. The failure to start is scary because you don't know if the car is going to explode or what. The dealership tells me that it is a sensor that goes out and tells the car it doesn't have to start. Been replaced 6 times and the other day it did it again. I hate to go out of town because of the fear of getting stranded on the highway. And another thing the smell of the engine is crazy my daughter has asthma and talking about a problem for her it is. I can go to work and go back 30 minutes later to my car and you can tell that it is still smelling of course where i got it from they told me that it was no concern it was due to the fact of them dropping oil when they did a change, come on people 2 months later. I fear that one day it will explode i just pray to god that my family is not in there. The airbag light will not go off and from reading in here i am scared to death. Something really needs to be done about this problem before some family loses a member.
I own a 2000 ford expedition and in 2003 and now i have had the airbag light on because the airbag harness is defective on the passengers side.the cost is $390.00 to repair and $70.00 to do a diagnostic test each time.
Multiple issues with honda accord 2000 ex v6 3.0l. 96k miles as of 11/25/091. Srs light has been on and dealer is not fixing it saying it is not a safety issue2. Transmission failed and i had to spend 2k fixing it3. Egr clogged and check engine light is on. Dealer not fixing it saying it has been done before.
My wife was involved in an accident on a 4 lane road and was going approximately 40-45 mph when she hit another vehicle with almost no braking involved. Neither the drive or passenger airbag deployed. This was a major selling point when we purchased this vehicle since we would be using it to transport our family. If these do not work then the chrysler corporation should do everything to the best of it's ability to ensure that anyone that buys their products should get what they have paid for.
I am so disgusted after reading all the same problems with the 2002 ford explorer.i too have the airbag problem, they told me it was the airbag pretentioner and it is $650.00, now my air bag will not deploy if i get into an accident.i have the extended deluxe warranty that wont cover it.i also have a problem with the rear temp and mode actuators that failed and binding again not covered under warranty that is $510.00 to repair.i truly think ford should recall these same problems.
In 2008 i was driving my 2003 honda accord.i had a terrible front in crash with another car. My repairs cost me $3800.00. We didn't have medical insurance so we declined to go to the doctor.the body shop that repaired my car said the airbag should have deployed.
I had my saturn vue service, notice the air bag light coming on and off, i took the car to the dealership and they charge me $85 to test it. They found a defect which will cause the air bag failure to deploy in case of a collision. Saturn refuses to fix the defect. Air bag deployment should never fail. I am afraid to drive my car now and i really don't have ove $1k to fix it. It seems to me that every time i take my car in to the dealership, something else goes wrong at this moment they are fixing the transmission, due to defects in the transmissions used for the vue.
I have 2008 pontiac torrent vin#[xxx], that the passenger side air bag will not activate due to the failure of the pps module. I feel that this module should be replaced under a recall since gm has outstanding recalls with same model vehicles prior to the 2008 model, i believe that this vehicle had defective module installed and gm should be made to resolve this situation due to the possibility of serious injury or death in a front end accident. I am the original owner of a 2007 350z. I just found out today that there has been a recall on the passenger air bag sensor since november 2008. I first began to notice the passenger air bag light being off over three (3) years ago. I had my 100,000 mile service around six (6) months ago. The sensor was listed as problematic, but not identified as a potential recall.today, i called the nissan usa number and spoke with [xxx] who told me that my vin # did not match the ones from the recall in november 2008. I informed her that if a passenger in my car is harmed because nissan usa will not live up to its responsibility to its customers and community, there will be a major lawsuit coming. 2005 suzuki verona, this vehicle had total front end damage all the way to the windshield, the air bag did not go off, i was injured with neck and back pain.photos are available of this.this defective air bag could have allowed me to receive tremendous more injuries.

The complete lighting system went out, the security door lock system stopped, the rear brake lights quit working,both windows have stopped going up and down. A couple of times the engine won't start and three times it will just shut down while driving.this car has a mind of it's own.luckily no one has been hurt yet.some of this has been recalled and some not.
We purchased our 2007 ford edge on april 18th 2008 at that time the air bag light was on...the dealer replaced the sensors. On may 2nd we took it back into our local dealership for the light was back on again. They replaced the correct sensor and it made it until october when the light was back on for the third time since we owned the vehicle. This time they replaced another sensor and worked on the sunroof for it was not closing right. In november 2008 the light was back on again and this time wiring was replaced. Three weeks later the air bag light came on again circuits were checked for shorts? then in june 2009 the air bag light was back on and this time flickers on and off. They installed a new rmc, another sensor and the restraint control module. December 3rd we took it back to our service department with the air bag light on for the 7th time now, and the ford hotline had them checking all crash sensors, the right axel seal was leaking oil as well and the part was ordered to fix. Took the car back on the 16th and they supposedly "fixed" all problems! two days later the air bag light was back on for the 8th time and ford has had my car since then. It is now january 2010 and they still are working on the air bag issue..headquarters has been contacted but doesn't seem to do us any good. The drivers side air bag sensor was replaced and we were told that it finally solved the problem but an hour later we received a call from the service department stating that the air bag light is on for the 9th time now and is currently awaiting another part to be replaced! this to us is a major safety issue that needs some attention!
The srs system in my honda civic ex 1997 went out when i had first purchased the used car in june 2004 with around 145,00 miles on it. I had a new srs electrical system put in . It has been two years and the system has gone out again. I now have to fix it again and my car specialist has told me that the price has doubled on the part, and that this is a common occurrence in honda civics.
With your approval, i had an aoi electrical air bag switch installed on my 2004 subaru outback. The air bag error light will not reset and subaru has informed them that all air bags may be immobilized as well as the seat belt tensioners. I cannot seem to get aoielectrical to attend to the problem.
I started the van that morning and the airbag light remained on. I was not aware at that time that my horn and cruise control were also affected.i found that the horn didn't work when a vehicle pulled out in front of me and i almost hit it.after that i checked the fuses and relays but found nothing wrong.i even took the horns off the van and wired them up directly to the battery. Also my cruise control worked fine until the product failed.now that dodge fixed the clockspring the airbag light is off, i don't know if the airbag will work ?the horn works but it's not as loud as it used to be, and of course the cruise control don't. The cruise light flashes or stays on for a short time and i hope it don't short out and cause a electrical fire or the cruise system turns on and i can't turn it off?i called to take the van back the next day after i had sat at the dodge dealer for a couple hours the night before to get this issue resolved, and i was told it would be an $80.00 charge unless it was something that they caused.i told the person that it had been working fine until there product failed,and i didn't think i should have to pay. Regardless to say i didn't take the van back.i don't have an extra $80.0 o give away.oh and a strange coincidence, the estimate for the clockspring is $80.00 without a recall notice, if your vehicle is on the list.i was seriously thinking about buying a new dodge truck but after this i might just go with toyota. I never got to see the part that failed.
My vehicle is a 2008 chevy equinox. The passenger air bag sensor will not activate the device when my 150 to 165 lb wife is sitting in the vehicle. I have taken it to the dealer twice, they advise the system is functioning normally, as it was designed, and that my wife does not weigh enough to activate the "on" function of the air bag. This seems unsafe, and unreasonable to me. Id like to file a complaint, and ask, does this violate nhtsa safety standards? does the nhtsa research support that a 110 lb adult should not have airbag protection? ive noticed similar complaints on your website for this issue. Had a recall on kia sorento- 2007. A year later they call me on it. I told them about recalls when i first received the vehicle. They want me to pay for it first. Then they fixed it a year later and now one of the recalls is acting up again. Now it is something with the itu control ???? so after they default on our contract about my personal info they had extra finance charge because i was sick and had a warranty. They refused on that too! so they repo my car after i told them to come and get it. Total of 4 recalls on a car i bought two years ago.

On any given day, i encounter one or more vehicles with severe front end damage and in too many cases, the vehicle made contact with an object between the two front frame extensions and in almost all cases, the front air bags did not deploy.i've encountered dodge ram pick-ups with the engine driven into the firewall, damaging the dash area. They hit at the center of the bumper and the air bags did not deploy.it has been found in numerous other vehicles as well. The bumper folds out at the ends and leaves the air bag switches untouched if the vehicle makes contact between the ends of the two front main frame members.

I was driving this car on the 401 east highway, ontario, canada on 16th december 2007 at 2.35 p.m. My wife and my little one and a half year daughter were also accompanying me. I was coming from windsor and heading towards toronto.suddenly the air bag of the driver seat blew up without any collision of my car with any thing. I was lucky enough that i was driving in the right lane and managed to bring my car out of the driving lane. Due to almighty's grace no car was following me otherwise that would have lead to a disaster. I was amazed to see this in front of my eyes that how could airbag of the car blew up without any collision. I am confident that this would have surprised you too that how could you manufacture such a dreadful vehicle in which the parts activate at the wrong time and could lead to accidents instead of activating for the safety of passengers.i am thankful to 911 emergency that they came on time and took us out of the situation and we managed to reach back home safely.i impress upon you to look into this serious issue as soon as possible. I am also interested to bring this issue to other car manufacturers and legal departments which have authorized you to manufacture cars without taking these things into consideration and the passengers have to put there lives on risk due to your sheer negligence.i would like you to compensate me for all the hassles and risk of life my family and i have been through and provide me with other car which is fully checked. Sept 17th 2011. Sat. Night about 10:00pm i was driving my 2003 ford f-150 truck east. I was going about 45-50mph on a straight country road when a loud sound went off and the airbags deployed and the truck came to a screeching stop. I was able to keep the truck on the road as it came to a complete stop. I and a passenger were wearing seatbelts and were able to get out of the truck. It was full of smoke and the horn was blaring , we opened the hood and disabled the horn put on the emergency flashers. The truck would not move. Couldn't get it in or out of gear, its a standard.i called my insurance co. And we had my truck towed from there to a friends house. Both of us were pretty shakened and had hurt necks and backs and i hurt my hand. My friend got hurt the worst and is still seeing doctors for his neck injuries. I am okay but sore and haven't gone to the doctors. My insurance won't cover the damage it caused inside the cab or have airbags re-installed. I have full coverage! the air bags just deployed on their own. Out of the blue. Gives me a whole new perspective about air bags,they may save your live or take your life! they are scary, smell bad, ruin your car and have to be replaced along with a brain before the truck will run. The truck is still disabled today. I feel it was a defect in the airbag sensors or the airbags themselves! and it should be covered by either my insurance or the ford motor company. It's a safety feature and should be covered by one of the two! i had the truck for 4 years and nothing had ever happened like that before. Its never been hit in the front and i was just driving along. On a straight road and boom. The airbags deployed and the truck came to a sudden stop. It was traumatizing to say the least!
I was traveling north on highway 47 following a van and some other vehicles when all of a sudden everyone locked up and by the time i saw the vehicle in front of me hit the brakes i slammed on my brakes and slid into him damaging his rear panel doors and the front end of my truck. No airbag deployed either on the driver or passenger side of the truck that i was driving. It was raining at the time and the roads were saturated so stopping abruptly was out of the question still i tried, no one was injured in the crash however the very next day i experienced this very severe nose bleed that lasted about 15-20 non stop when it finally slowed to a trickle i went to the nearby hospital emergency room. We were traveling about 40-45 mph when the crash occurred and i'm curious as to why the bags didn't deploy.

The van will start thenimmediately turn off. It does this more when it is hot outside. If you let the vehicle sit for about 4 hours in the shade it will start and get you to your next destination. If the weather is too hot it won't start until the weather changes to cooler. I have replaced the starter, two computers, got the circuit board cold soldered. Replaced the battery and can't remember all the rest. It still has this problem. It seems to be very common. There is a web site topix.com that has a forum just for this problem. No one has been able to fix it completely. Some one some where has got to know how to fix this problem. Also the clock spring is under recall. Once you get the recall done after a few years the spring breaks again and they don't fix it again. So i no longer have a horn or airbags that work.

My car (1997 nissan 240 sx) being driven by my son was in an accident where the car was totaled by impact. None of the airbags deployed but yet the light came on saying they did. If they had my son may not have suffered from a serious concussion which we're about to go to the hospital the 2nd time for nor the neck sprain that he did. I've e-mailed nissan to see if i can get an answer as to why the airbags did not deploy when the light indicates they did but i've not heard back from them yet.

I was in an accident where my car was stopped in the middleof traffic an a charter bus rear ended me going 45-50mph causing me to hit a van in front of me causing me to spin into the opposite way of traffic and my airbags did not deployed. I have contacted my insurance(progressive) numerous times concerning why my airbags did not deploy they told me to call manufacturer. I call dodge/chrysler and they told me that insurance is the ones who does the investigation. I contacted progressive again they told me no investigation will be done due to the fact my car is considered a total loss.
There were no accidents leading up to a failure. The airbag light in my 2008 kia spectra ex suddenly came on. After taking it in to a dealer, i was notified that the entire bottom portion of the seat needed to be replaced. The car could not tell if there was a person in the passenger seat. This does not seem to be an isolated issue, and should be addressed by kia.

In 2019, i was notified of a recall consisting of the pods(passenger occupant detection system) system stating that the wiring and connector needed to be changed. I took the vehicle in to the dealership to have the recall service repairs done. After completion of the recall repairs, i have now began to have issues with my airbag sensor which is part of the pods system. Around march 2020, i began having issues with my airbag turning on and off while a passenger is sitting in my passenger seat with the seatbelt on. I would have to instruct my passenger to disengage the seatbelt and re-engage it in order for the airbag to come back on and recognize that there is a person over the minimal weight requirement occupying the seat. This issue have continued to occur on and off throughout the year. On nov. 6th, i was in an accident(rear-ended) with no major injuries. That accident was luckily not very severe and i am very fortunate that i didn't hit the car that was in front of me and needed my airbag to deploy and i wouldn't due to a faulty airbag sensor that was fine until the recall campaign in 2019. So on friday, nov 13th, i took my car in for diagnostic testing at the dealership and when the service department called, i was told that it was in fact my sensor inside my front passenger seat that is malfunctioning. This did not occur until the wiring and connector was changed in dec 2019. I have contacted the corporate office of the auto maker and they are refusing to pay any part of the cost to have the sensor replaced and i am being quoted a repair price of $1200 and that's just for the part alone. This is a safety issue and i feel that since the company issued a recall campaign for the replacement of the wiring and connector, they should do the same for the airbag sensor before a fatal accident occurs to a passenger of the same type ofvehicle with the same issue. There are currently several complaints about the exact same issue posted on this site and several others.

I own a 2008 hyundai azera the airbag light came on the dashboard and stayed lit.i took it to the dealership and was told there was a defective side impact airbag sensor that needed to be replaced.i was given a 2009 hyundai sonata loaner and was in an accident with that vehicle.the other vehicle t-boned my drivers side and caused over $11,000.00 in damage.the side impact airbags did not deploy.i suffered a deep gash to the back of the head requiring staples to close it--a sprained should, which i still do not have full range of motion and a softball size hemotoma on my left leg.i contacted hyundai corporation in ca to file a claim.i followed all of their protocol, filled out their forms and supplied all documents requested--ie: police report, estimate, photos, repair document from my '08 azera and overnighted the package to them within their allotted time frame.it's been 8 weeks since the accident and i still do not have an answer from hyundai as to why the airbags did not deploy.
The airbag light is always on. This is on a 2008 jeep wrangler, regular side drive. I have checked with a jeep dealer they are very disconcerted about it. They said i have to pay to have this safety item fixed.

In july 2009 i purchased a new 2010 toyota matrix from sunrise toyota in oakdale , new york. When shopping for my vehicle i was looking for one that had a drivers side knee airbag since i had recently had knee surgery and a chronic knee problem. When looking at the 2010 toyota matrix the window sticker (monroney) indicated that the car came equipped with a drivers side knee air bag as standard safety equipment. The sales person also reiterated that the car had this safety equipment. I purchased the vehicle. In january of 2010, nearly 6 months after i purchased the toyota matrix, i received a letter from toyota telling me that my car did not have a drivers side knee airbag and that the monroney window sticker was wrong. As of the date of this compliant, despite my complaining to the dealership and toyota, i have notreceived any additional information from either the dealer or toyota as to how they intend to resolve this issue since i was deceptively sold a vehicle under the pretense that it had a safety option that it in fact did not. My story was recently publicized in the media with an article in newsday reporting on this serious error that places the public at risk.
While driving the airbag light came on and stayed on. I took it to a ford dealer the same day and was told it was the side airbag problem. The testing code was 1998. They charged me $903.45 to fix it on august 30, 2007. On august 23, 2008 the airbag light started flashing while i was driving. I called the ford dealer and took it right in. Was told the part they replaced had gone bad and needed to be replaced again. Of course they had to order the part and that took three days. I was told that when the light is on the airbags don?t work. This happened six days before the one year warranty ran out and the vehicle had only been 4,100 miles since the part was replaced. The part was replaced for the second time on august 27, 2008 under the one year warrant period.the work was performed so poorly that i have no faith the airbags will work if i ever need them. I took it back to the ford dealer and showed them that the wiring for the side airbag was poking out the back of the seat and the air bag really wasn't on the side it was more of a backseat airbag now. Needless to say i have to leave it with the dealer again to fix it. I have seen the numerous complaints about the airbags and would like to know when ford is going to step up and admit there is a problem.
I was making a routine turn and lost control of steering. It only happened the one time, police report said car rolled two or three times, total loss to car and injury to driver. I don't remember exactly the cause other than i lost control. Can't say any of the recalls did or did not cause the accident. My primary complaint is that i paid for front and side airbags, and none deployed on a car that rolled two or three times. Why am i paying for equipment that is not effective? if a car rolls over at minimum the side airbags should have deployed. I would also think this would trigger the other air bags. With all the recalls how would we know if any of these contributed to the crash? i understand the rollover rating applies to the stability of the car, but rating the safety in a rollover accident should also be rated. Why don't air bags deploy automatically when car hits sides or the roof? we paid for safety and reliability of the toyota, but it appears that the extra money is wasted.

There is a recall on my car for the ocs , occupant classification system . Its what tells the car to turn on the passenger side airbag when an adult is in the seat. I took my car into the dealer for repairs like the letter stated and was turned away saying it works fine, even though i had an adult in the seat and the system said the air bag was turned off . After a few calls to hyundai motor america, the dealer decided to send the passenger seat in for testing . I received my car back from the shop on 10-27-08. The following day my 19 year old was in the seat and the light was illuminated saying "passenger air bag off" i called hyundai motor america and was told they would rectify the situation. Today is 11-17-08 and i have yet to receive a phone call regarding this matter. The dealership is refusing to help me , stating that " we fixed it once and its not our problem anymore" i am at my wits end as to what to do now . No one seems to want to fix the issue. They simply tell me to deal with it .
Vehicle was completely stopped when rear-ended by chevy suburban traveling approx. 50 mph. Car was thrust forward over 50 and struck rear-end of pickup truck. Driver side seat broke on impact-caused seat to slide completely forward. No air bag deployment. Driver was restrained in seat belt, but still hit head on windshield resulting in brain injury.
Summary: on certain vehicles, the seat position sensor (sps) detects the driver's seating position and adjusts the air bag inflation pressure accordingly. The wiring harness for the sps was attached to the seat frame in the wrong location and may have been over tightened. The sensor wire may break and cause the air bag warning light to be illuminated, and the sps to fail.

Will be driving down the road and depending where located in seat, the passenger airbag will disable. This vehicle has cloth seats and does not have the leather. You must wiggle around in the seat to make the passenger airbag reactivate. Sometimes it works and sometimes you must stop and cut off and restart the vehicle to make it work. This is intermittent.
Had a frontal crash as i was trying to click in the safety belt while in motion. The impact was severe enough that my head went forward and cracked the windshield injuring my forehead. I lost consciousness for 30 minutes. This was a new car (115 miles) and none of the multiple airbags went off. Tried to have audi explain to me why none of the airbags went off and i got 2 nonsensical reasons (one salesperson suggested that they did not go off because the safety belt was not engaged, a customer representative related to me some mysterious angle - 30 degrees from the midline of the car- where an impact would not activate air bags (!) . I was also given a lecture regarding the safety of audi cars. I asked them to test the front accelerometers in the crashed car but they did not see any point in doing it. I have seen a recall for the curtain air bags of last year a6 model. It seems that the sensors of the 2013 a6 i was driving do not function reliably and do not guarantee the safety of the driver.
I was driving in the off road area of oceano dunes and went off a sand dune head first about 15 feet.the entire front end is smashed, i hit the steering wheel so hard it is bent.neither the air bag nor the seat belt worked.i had taken the truck in for repair five different times because the air bag light would stay on for long periods of time.they said they had repaired it the last time but obviously they hadn't.i have called repeatedly since the accident, they keep promising to return my call but i get no response from them. First they wouldn't believe there was anything wrong and now they refuse to accept responsibility for the failure of their safety equipment to work.i wonder if any one is interested in a class action suit.

Etc... & my insurer & was told no like issues &/or recalls or safety issues & my fears were not warranted well on 2 other front end crashes i believe due to other safety issues acceleration steering loss & breaking issues again with major damage to front end radiator destroyed chassy bent /cracked the vehicle airbags failed to deploy nor did the seat belts lock again i in 1998 did again make numerous inquiries & found airbag systems had placed defective switches in vehicles but failed to have a tracking system to id the vehicles &/or manufacturers whom had placed these switches that made it appear as the air bags were indeed functioning when they were turned off & that nhtsa stated it was not there job to give him documents showing vehicles with these faulty switches which was an endangerment to owners&/repair facilities who would be unaware the airbags were turned off as the light showing proper abs function i cant believe the gross disregard i also understand that these modifications did not have to be reported unless done so voluntarily to dmv/or nhtsa until sometime in 2002/3/4 so putting your vin # in would not show a consumer their airbags were in fact deactivated even if voluntary documents were submit.

On october 31,2008 i was in an automobile accident where i was going approximately 30 mph when i hit someone straight on from behind. My airbag did not deploy, nor did my seat belt lock up. I was taken to the hospital where i was told i had a minor concussion, and neck and shoulder sprain. My head hit the steering wheel twice.
I was a passenger in my tiburon and my wife was driving. We were traveling on oklahoma highway 59 and speed limit was 65 mph.a frontal collision with the rear of an extremely large farm tractor at a speed estimated by the investigating state policeman at 25-30 mph. We were both wearing our seatbelts,however i made contact with the windshield and the dash of the car. Neither the driver nor the front passenger airbags deployed. The damage is estimated at 10,500.00, with extensive front end damage fender, hood ,windshield damage, battery , horn, brake components, front suspension grille, front bumper, headlamps, radiator,a/c and heater. We were both injured and were seen at our local er. All this and no air bag deployment needs to be investigated.
We purchased our 2007 ford edge on april 18th 2008 at that time the air bag light was on...the dealer replaced the sensors. On may 2nd we took it back into our local dealership for the light was back on again. They replaced the correct sensor and it made it until october when the light was back on for the third time since we owned the vehicle. This time they replaced another sensor and worked on the sunroof for it was not closing right. In november 2008 the light was back on again and this time wiring was replaced. Three weeks later the air bag light came on again circuits were checked for shorts? then in june 2009 the air bag light was back on and this time flickers on and off. They installed a new rmc, another sensor and the restraint control module. December 3rd we took it back to our service department with the air bag light on for the 7th time now, and the ford hotline had them checking all crash sensors, the right axel seal was leaking oil as well and the part was ordered to fix. Took the car back on the 16th and they supposedly "fixed" all problems! two days later the air bag light was back on for the 8th time and ford has had my car since then. It is now january 2010 and they still are working on the air bag issue..headquarters has been contacted but doesn't seem to do us any good. The drivers side air bag sensor was replaced and we were told that it finally solved the problem but an hour later we received a call from the service department stating that the air bag light is on for the 9th time now and is currently awaiting another part to be replaced! this to us is a major safety issue that needs some attention!
The 2005 hyundai sonata gls has several problems that should be under warranty and recalled, close to the 2006 recalls.we own a company and have purchased over 12 to 14 hyundais. We have found that the sonata gls 2005 has problems with the airbag deployment, seatbelt restraint, the front tires are closer to the back & not centered on the wheel well (has been this way since purchased, but they do not correct.), have electrical problems & that unibody type frame & so on.in an accident where a truck left the tail gate down & a ladder hit the windshield, the car was then parked, turned off , the keys taking out of the ignition & then began looking for the cell phone then proceeded to open the door to get out infer all that the driver's side airbag deployed which also caused the front driver's seat belt to lock up & can not be pulled out to wear. Hyundai states that this is not warranted even though it was deployed after the accident occured. Hyundai had a great warranty 10 years ago. They do not stand up to their warranty as before & i have found that some of the warranty has changed. I have switched to toyota. Hyundai has done nothing so far to correct.
My husband was in an accident where he was hit by another vehicle. The drivers side, and the steering wheel airbags deployed airbags deployed. My husband suffered numerous internal bruising , a fracture in his back and a dics that bulges in his back, he was the driver of the vehicle and all these injuries are mainly on his left side of his body where the drivers side air bag deployed. He was told from doctors that he is lucky to be alive, but his injuries could take in excess of a year to heal.he was hit in the front of the vehicle and the vehicle has been totaled due to the damage.he said that when they air bags deployed it took away his breath because the force that the air bags deployed was extreme.

Had a major accident with my vehicle, in which the car accelerated and i crashed into a tree.the sensor in front of the car didn't open the front airbag in the steering wheel at all.thank god i was wearing my seat belt, it kept me fromcrash head on through the wind shield.i was seriously injured and had to be taken to the hospital. On march 28,2017 i was involved in an 2 vehicle car accident.where a 2006 chevy truck going north bound making an illegallefthand turn onto oncoming traffic in an intersection in california falling to yieldcausing a collision between my car a 2006 hyundai tuscon 5 speed manual transmission was hit by the truck as i i was crossing into the intersectiongoing south bound on a green light right of way.the truck was waiting to make a lefthand turn at the intersection in the lefthand turning lane when he cut -out in front of me giving me only seconds to react to avoid the crash.i saw him come into the intersection in an accelerated speed as to beat me to make his left turn ,i slammed on my brakes as he made his left turn and i slammed into the passengerside of the front fender of the truck headon bending the front body frame and destroying the front end of my hyundai tuscon 2006w/5speed trans.my air bag did not deploy in the accident . My hyundai was considered a total loss by the carinsurance company . By looking at the photos you can see how devastating the impact was.

Passenger air bag fails to acknowledge lightweight passengers though they are over 100 pounds.failure of about 85% of the time noted shortly after purchase. At first the saturn dealer in gresham said they would do nothing about it, then making it clear this was not acceptable they replaced the sensor. Before long the same problem occasional occurred, now it has become over 50% of the time. Sometimes going off after driving a while, sometimes cycling off and on.
Nissan issued a recall nhtsa recall 16v-349 received by me 7/26/16 wherein they statedthat "the front passenger air bag inflator housing could rupture and deploy abnormally resulting in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants causing serious injury or death." nissan further advised "do not allow passengers to ride in the passenger seat", which has caused a lengthy undue hardship on versa owners. When i called on 8/24/16, diana informed me the part would be in by the end of september or beginning of october. That did not happen. I then called again on 10/28/16, when melodie informed me that the parts would not be in until january 2017. My request for a nissan rental was refused, which was not right considering the inconvenience i have experienced, not using my car to its fullest capacity and always with the fear of flying fragments should the housing rupture. My call to sheila in the consumer affairs dept. On 11/19/16 yielded the exact result as before- the parts would not be in until january 2016. Nissan needs to complete the necessary repairs as soon as possible or provide the affected owners with car rentals. It is long overdue.
My wife was driving a2002 camry le, went off the road and struck a tree on the passengers side front door. She had massive head injuries and did not survive the crash.none of the frontal airbags opened on such a severe impact. As it might seem initially that these were frontal airbags, but i have seen a2000 corolla where the impact was on the drivers side rear door and both the frontal airbags had deployed.i don't understand how a 2002 camary that is supposed be a newer, better car than a 2000 corolla, failed to have its airbags deploy when the impact was on the passangers side; where on a corolla although the impact was on the driver side rear door; the passenger side airbag deployed.

I bought a new vw golf in february 2004.at about 6:30 p.m. On 4/1, i drove over a pothole (or some bump in the road) while driving on storrow drive in boston and suddenly two airbags deployed on the driver side of my car and my seat belt appeared to recoil.the two airbags that deployed were the side airbag and the curtain airbag.i brought my car into a boston dealer/service department the following morning.after inspecting the car, the service department said there was no physical damage to the car (except of course the deployed airbags and broken seat belt), but that there was "crash data" on the car's computer.the service department went on to say that this is not a warranty situation because the car detected a crash (despite the fact that there was admittedly no damage to the car), causing the airbags to deploy.
Airbag light flashed on/off back in aug. 2003. I took itto the dealership to be repaired and thought that was the end of the problem. Almost a year later in july 2004 my airbag light started flashing on/off again, i then returned it to the dealership where once again it was "fixed or repaired"now, two months later i'm having again the same problem. I don't think toyota knows how to fix this issue and it's a real concern to think that if there's a possible accident or inncodent the air bag(s ) may not deploy. I'm frustrated with this problem and am filing a complaint in hopes that maybe someone will listen or pay attention. This could get to be a costly issue that never gets resolved. While driving down the road, suddenly, there was a loud boom, followed by the airbags deploying & the wind shield shattering. I stopped the car, placed it in park, turned off the engine & yelled at my children to jump out of the car. A gentleman, driving behind me stopped, looked at the car & called 911. He then proceeded to start the car back up & drive it to the side of the road.after the police came, checked the road & filled out the report, i then turned the car around & drove it back to my girlfriend's house & parked it.the next day, i drove it to my aunt's house & parked it in her driveway until monday when it was towed to the dealership ( where it is still located ) there was no car in front of me when this incident happened, & there is no damage to the body of the car. *nlm

I was driving to work on rt 8 in butler, pa. A deer ran into my car, hitting the front end. I was going about 50 mph. I slammed on the brakes and got out to look at my car. The front bumper was completely smashed, along with the bumper being folded, ac condenser broke, grille broke,radiator broke. I got back in my car and noticed the air bag symbol was on but by air bags didn't deploy. I wasn't wearing a seat belt and i was the only one in the car. My seat belts locked up for some reason and the air bags didn't go off. I called the chevy company and asked them why, and they told me that you need to hit the car in a certain spot on the car, but a mechanic told me usually if the rebar is cracked the air bags go off. They said there is nothing they can do about it. I paid the car off and i didn't have full coverage. So my car is practically garbage. I think they should at least fix the air bag problem and the seat belts.
I was involved in a minor car accident when my airbag deployed and caused 2nd degree burns to both of my top forearms, i also fractured my right wrist that separated the cartilage in my wrist and required surgery.i am a healthy, active 42 year old woman never been in an accident.i believe the airbag did not deploy correctly and may even need to be recalled to make sure it was installed efficiently.the burns sustained to my arms are not consistent with typical burns from airbags that i have researched.the bag itself did not come out straight, nor even hit my chest, it came out of the top of the steering wheel.i want to prevent this from happening to others.
My brother had to drive my vehicle in an emergency case. On the way to return the vehicke to me he crashed the jeep into a telephone pole the vehicle was really damaged although with the impact the police said that the air bags should have come out but didn't at the time i couldn't afford another vehicle the car dealership would not give me another car instead they fixed the same jeep and wanted me to continue paying on it until i was complete. On a 2006 chevy impala, the air bag indicator light on dashboard came on and remained on. Car was taken to chevrolet dealer who said it would be quite expensive to repair, so letting it go. Research on the internet reveals this problem. Also saw a technical service bulletin related to codes relating to air bag light remaining on. Danger here is that this should be fixed by chevrolet with a recall, but no recall as of yet. This defect should be fixed by chevrolet. Someone is going to die because of this issue not being recalled by chevrolet.
On february 2, 2008, my husband and i were driving from milwaukee wi to madison wi which is about 80 miles.there was no snow on the road that morning, roads were clear.all of a sudden we heard what sounded like a gun shot go off.we had no idea what it was and moved out of traffic to the shoulder to pull over.we then noticed that the side airbag that is located in the drivers seat deployed. Nothing hit us, we hit nothing. Called schlossmans honda city that mondaythey said they have never heard of this happening.i made an appointment to bring the car .the first thing they said was that i must have hit something.then made another appointment for them to look at it and run some tests on it.again nothing.the sensor triggered the airbag but there is no damage anywhere on my car.this repair is going to cost over $1200 honda refuses to cover this.i have about 30,000 miles on my 2004 element, my warranty is expired.i contactedprivate auto insurance, i have a $500 deductible .i have contacted honda corporation in california and started a claim because i feel not only should they cover this repair but should check out the other sensors and airbags in my car.what if i get this one fixed and it happens again?we could have gotten into a serious accident or worse.i have researched this on the internet, seems there are several peoplethat have had problems with honda's airbags.they either deploy when they aren't suppose to or don't deploy in serious accidents.i believe this is honda's responsibility to check all airbags in certain models.currently my car is not fixed, i am still working with honda city pete loberg, mgr. Who is doing all he can to assist me.i truly believe this is something that requires your assistance to ensure the safety of people in their cars with these airbags.

I was driving in the off road area of oceano dunes and went off a sand dune head first about 15 feet.the entire front end is smashed, i hit the steering wheel so hard it is bent.neither the air bag nor the seat belt worked.i had taken the truck in for repair five different times because the air bag light would stay on for long periods of time.they said they had repaired it the last time but obviously they hadn't.i have called repeatedly since the accident, they keep promising to return my call but i get no response from them. Pontiac g6 my daughter wrecked air bags never went off. She totalled the car
2012 hyundai elantraairbag light sensor was alternating between being on and off. After about a month it stayed on continually. Never been in an accident with the vehicle. The airbags will not deploy if the sensors are not working. It is ridiculous that hyundai would charge $99 for a diagnosis and then $325 for fixing the sensors that seem to just go off for no reason. If the airbags do not deploy in the event of a crash, this is dangerous. There needs to be a safety recall for this issue as many other hyundai owners experience this potentially fatal issue!

. This is my first time owning a cadillac and i must say i absolutely love it! it is a 2007 sts so it is older but in excellent condition with only around 65,000 miles on it. However i have been very recently disappointed by the service response from my airbag malfunction. I recently noticed my air bag light sensor was intermittently turning on and off and immediately brought it into earnhardt cadillac of scottsdale for fear of a safety issue. I received a call from steven from services who explained that the wiring harness would have to be replaced before he could even further diagnose the air bag wiring issue. He explained that the air bag would most likely not deploy in an accident. He explained that the harness itself would be $485 and only once he repaired that would he be able to further evaluate the air bag issue. I asked if cadillac stands behind the repair of such a safety concern and he said only under the warranty and also stated there was no recalls on this car model. I was very disappointed to hear a car with such low mileage would have such a horrific safety issue that cadillac is not willing to repair or replace. I'm reaching out to you to see if indeed that is the case or if cadillac would be willing to repair this safety hazard. I had a honda several years ago and the air bag was replaced immediately for the safety of all drivers and passengers. I'm hoping cadillac would stand behind its reputation and do the same. It appears as if there are several identical complaints about this car model and even some horrific damage to passengers when the air bag did not deploy. This safety issue needs to be recalled and addressed immediately.
The airbag switch on the dash comes on going down highway saying the airbag is off. That puts the passenger in a high risk of getting hurt or killed. It is an orginal part.
I have a honda accord 2004, and there have a been a recall for the airbag. We have been waiting on the driver side airbag now since feb 2015 and when we call about the airbag we keep being told that don't have any and don't know when they wil be getting any in. Hello, i'm writing today as i have had a recall on my 2008 toyota yaris as well as on my 2008 honda civic for nearly a year now and there is still a status of "recall incomplete." this is related to the possible shards in the passenger airbag that in the case of an accident, could strike the occupants in the vehicle. Traveling at 25 miles an hour on my way home the passenger airbag deployed with no collision.the noise was so great i thought i had been shot . All my air vents and plastic from the dashboard went flying all around me and powder. I was able to stop and avoid collision.
In 2019, i was notified of a recall consisting of the pods(passenger occupant detection system) system stating that the wiring and connector needed to be changed. I took the vehicle in to the dealership to have the recall service repairs done. After completion of the recall repairs, i have now began to have issues with my airbag sensor which is part of the pods system. Around march 2020, i began having issues with my airbag turning on and off while a passenger is sitting in my passenger seat with the seatbelt on. I would have to instruct my passenger to disengage the seatbelt and re-engage it in order for the airbag to come back on and recognize that there is a person over the minimal weight requirement occupying the seat. This issue have continued to occur on and off throughout the year. On nov. 6th, i was in an accident(rear-ended) with no major injuries. That accident was luckily not very severe and i am very fortunate that i didn't hit the car that was in front of me and needed my airbag to deploy and i wouldn't due to a faulty airbag sensor that was fine until the recall campaign in 2019. So on friday, nov 13th, i took my car in for diagnostic testing at the dealership and when the service department called, i was told that it was in fact my sensor inside my front passenger seat that is malfunctioning. This did not occur until the wiring and connector was changed in dec 2019. I have contacted the corporate office of the auto maker and they are refusing to pay any part of the cost to have the sensor replaced and i am being quoted a repair price of $1200 and that's just for the part alone. This is a safety issue and i feel that since the company issued a recall campaign for the replacement of the wiring and connector, they should do the same for the airbag sensor before a fatal accident occurs to a passenger of the same type ofvehicle with the same issue. There are currently several complaints about the exact same issue posted on this site and several others.

Air bag sensor does not turn off airbag when a small child sits in the front seat. There is a 359 unit recall on this make/model for this defect but dealer states it doesn't cover my car and that airbag should turn on when passenger weight exceeds 30-40 pounds. Nhtsa campaign id: 07v146000.

Air bag light comes on and stays on in the vehicle until engine is stopped. This has been going on since i purchased the vehicle back in july of 2007. They've reset the codes, replaced the seatbelt buckle and reset the connectors that have something to do with the airbags and nothing has worked. I've taken it back to the original dealer (where i purchased the car) four times for the same problem and it's still not fixed. I've called volkswagen of america about this problem and they've done nothing. They suggested i bring it back to the dealership.

I know i'm not the only person to have filed a complaint about this issue. This is a defective vehicle with a frustrating problem.
Air bag wiring harness on 1999 ford explorer replaced at a cost to me of $550. Told by dealer it was defective per tsb 03-24-1.x4.5x. It was replaced before when under warranty for same defect. Told by dealer not a safety issue so ford would not cover costs, but also told if not replaced air bag system could fail.
My airbag light is on and when i took it to the dealer, the passenger airbag module was gone in it and they refused to repair it cause my warranty was expired and there is no recall on the vehicle. I don't understand its a recall on the 2009 model cadillac cts for the airbag but not the 2006. If im in a car accident, it will not deflate.
Purchased 2002 acura brand new.during an accident, the driver air bag did not deploy during crash. The passenger air bag deployed when no one was in the passenger seat during crash.acura 3.2 tlwas featured to be a safe vehicle in advertisements.it had front and side airbags. Acura is combining target markets for approach to safety, best value for high end car, upper-end demographics.for a price of over $28,000, vehicle should be be flawless.let the buyer beware.consumer product safety commission should issue a recall.
2012 hyundai elantraairbag light sensor was alternating between being on and off. After about a month it stayed on continually. Never been in an accident with the vehicle. The airbags will not deploy if the sensors are not working. It is ridiculous that hyundai would charge $99 for a diagnosis and then $325 for fixing the sensors that seem to just go off for no reason. If the airbags do not deploy in the event of a crash, this is dangerous. There needs to be a safety recall for this issue as many other hyundai owners experience this potentially fatal issue!
My complaint concern our vw beetle airbagcrash sensor back in january 2008i received a email from safety engineer steve chan regarding a investigation which several similar complaints had been filed with the national highway traffic safety admin regarding the same matter. There was a recall on these sensors. We did have our replace on our 2003 vw beetle which we got reimburstment. However now, again the same (front) crash airbag sensor have went out (fail) again. Our vehicle is been service atmurriteia vw service advisor steve(951) 894-6555 ext 1358 due to consist failure of this manufacturer part. I fear that mylife is in danger every time i drive our vw beetle vehicle. I feel this great big safety issue.
Purchased 2003 gmc envoy slt on 11/30/2002.service airbag light came on as i was driving the vehicle off the lot.returned to dealer for repair.dealer said it was a loose wire in the sensor.one month later service airbag light came on again.returned it to dealer, could not determine problem so they replaced the passenger side airbag.service air bag lightis on again.this is the third time.also have had intermittent problems with the brakes.when approaching a stop light have had instances where the car will not stop, and the brake pedal is to the floor this has happened 3 times.took it into the dealer and was told this is the way the brakes function on this vehicle????? have had intermittent problems with the 4 wheel drive.the lights on the 4 wheel drive indicator will flash from 2hi all the way to 4 whl drive without every touching the control.extremely disappointed in this vehicle for the cost and unfortunately have a 4 year lease.will not recommend or purchase another gmc product.
Air bag light keeps coming on. Kia fixed this issue at least 5 times now the light is back on and they will not repair because i am out of warranty. If air bag light is on air bags will not deploy at time of impact i have 3 small children. They have not been able to resolve the issue.
Air bag light comes on and stays on in the vehicle until engine is stopped. This has been going on since i purchased the vehicle back in july of 2007. They've reset the codes, replaced the seatbelt buckle and reset the connectors that have something to do with the airbags and nothing has worked. I've taken it back to the original dealer (where i purchased the car) four times for the same problem and it's still not fixed. I've called volkswagen of america about this problem and they've done nothing. They suggested i bring it back to the dealership.
Drivers door was impacted at approx. 50 mph and neither side airbag or side curtain deployed resulting in a very serious left hip fracture, collapsed lung and numerous lacerations.
Was in an automobile accident and was hit square in the side of the car at 45 mph. Damage was done to entire left side of vehicle.no air bags deployed.i have front and side air bags.called volkswagen to determine where sensors are, and the sensor on the side is where i was hit.i did some research through nhtsa reports on volkswagen, seems there are a sufficient amount of consumer complaints with the airbags, many of which state volkswagen didn't want to discuss or take care of.i am concerned with for my own safety while driving this volkswagen.
I hadrecall repairs done for my 1994 nissan, altima. The recall was for the passenger side air bag.after the air bag was replaced the air bag light began to flash. I took the car back to the nissan dealer that did the work. They checked the car and said that it was probably the switch, and it would cost $1500.00. I told them that this happened after they did the recall. But, they did not want to do anything for me. This has been several months ago. I will get the exact date. The date below is a guesstimate. But, the work was done at passport nissan in alexandria, va.

My husband was in an accident where he was hit by another vehicle. The drivers side, and the steering wheel airbags deployed airbags deployed. My husband suffered numerous internal bruising , a fracture in his back and a dics that bulges in his back, he was the driver of the vehicle and all these injuries are mainly on his left side of his body where the drivers side air bag deployed. He was told from doctors that he is lucky to be alive, but his injuries could take in excess of a year to heal.he was hit in the front of the vehicle and the vehicle has been totaled due to the damage.he said that when they air bags deployed it took away his breath because the force that the air bags deployed was extreme.
I was driving out of a toll booth and was accelerating.a tractor trailer began coming closer to me.i moved over to avoid impact with the truck.in the process my front and rear drivers side wheels rubbed against a curb causing the side airbags to deploy.there was no damage to the vehicle other than a two inch scrape on the rims.the employees in the body shop and service department stated that the airbags should not have deployed due to the wheels rubbing curb.the woman at volvo stated that the car "detected imminent damage" which caused the airbags to deploy.i was decelerating at the time of the deployment, had i been accelerating to pass the truck i would have been killed.the investigator from volvo stated that they moved the sensors to the wheel wells and the are more sensitive.i think this is a serious safety concern as the vehicle, upon detecting imminent danger almost killed me.

If the weather is too hot it won't start until the weather changes to cooler. I have replaced the starter, two computers, got the circuit board cold soldered. Replaced the battery and can't remember all the rest. It still has this problem. It seems to be very common. There is a web site topix.com that has a forum just for this problem. No one has been able to fix it completely. Some one some where has got to know how to fix this problem. Also the clock spring is under recall. Once you get the recall done after a few years the spring breaks again and they don't fix it again. So i no longer have a horn or airbags that work.
I have a 03 ford escape, and the trouble is endless. The car will not start at times and it is a strong smell of gas when this happens. I have had it in and out of the shop about 6 times and has had the car for only 2 years. The failure to start is scary because you don't know if the car is going to explode or what. The dealership tells me that it is a sensor that goes out and tells the car it doesn't have to start. Been replaced 6 times and the other day it did it again. I hate to go out of town because of the fear of getting stranded on the highway. And another thing the smell of the engine is crazy my daughter has asthma and talking about a problem for her it is. I can go to work and go back 30 minutes later to my car and you can tell that it is still smelling of course where i got it from they told me that it was no concern it was due to the fact of them dropping oil when they did a change, come on people 2 months later. I fear that one day it will explode i just pray to god that my family is not in there. The airbag light will not go off and from reading in here i am scared to death. Something really needs to be done about this problem before some family loses a member.
I own a 2002 beetle.it has 55,000 miles on it.two months ago the air bag light came on and won't go off.now, the turn signals won't work. To add to this once in awhile the sun roof will open on it's own!!! the dealer said it will cost about $650 to fix.this is not the first time with electrical problems with this car. The complete lighting system went out, the security door lock system stopped, the rear brake lights quit working,both windows have stopped going up and down. A couple of times the engine won't start and three times it will just shut down while driving.this car has a mind of it's own.luckily no one has been hurt yet.some of this has been recalled and some not.
The 2005 hyundai sonata gls has several problems that should be under warranty and recalled, close to the 2006 recalls.we own a company and have purchased over 12 to 14 hyundais. We have found that the sonata gls 2005 has problems with the airbag deployment, seatbelt restraint, the front tires are closer to the back & not centered on the wheel well (has been this way since purchased, but they do not correct.), have electrical problems & that unibody type frame & so on.in an accident where a truck left the tail gate down & a ladder hit the windshield, the car was then parked, turned off , the keys taking out of the ignition & then began looking for the cell phone then proceeded to open the door to get out infer all that the driver's side airbag deployed which also caused the front driver's seat belt to lock up & can not be pulled out to wear. Hyundai states that this is not warranted even though it was deployed after the accident occured. Hyundai had a great warranty 10 years ago. They do not stand up to their warranty as before & i have found that some of the warranty has changed. I have switched to toyota. Hyundai has done nothing so far to correct.
My brother had to drive my vehicle in an emergency case. On the way to return the vehicke to me he crashed the jeep into a telephone pole the vehicle was really damaged although with the impact the police said that the air bags should have come out but didn't at the time i couldn't afford another vehicle the car dealership would not give me another car instead they fixed the same jeep and wanted me to continue paying on it until i was complete. I am still driving the vehicle i am really feeling unsafe in this vehicle with me and my two kids.
The passenger air bag only comes on now & then.my vehicle has been to the garage numerous times.i've explained what happens.also have issue with wipes work, then not, blinkers work then not, blinkers double click.radio gets real loud sometimes, beeps when door open real loud.have replaced 3 batteries & two starters.but everytime in garage, hear "nothing wrong".i don't feel safe driving my car.i'm afraid if i get in accident my air bag wont work.all this started six months after bought car.
3rd time crank shaft sensor went in 1 year/5 months. Car only has 60,000 miles. All 3 times, car would not accelerate, check engine light then appears and seconds later the car shuts off. Twice we were on the highway when this happened and lucky we had enough time to get over to the breakdown lane before the car shut down. 3 times in a year and 5 months, this should not happen... Also, the air bag light has been coming on for the last year.
Bought car, dad used car ,beeped horn,. Now this is the problem the horn stayed on until it was disconnected at the horn.a little bit later disconnected the relay. So the airbag is intergrated with the horn an that would cause a failure to the airbag to properly function, which will cause injury like it has.it was replaced with a new in box part and guess what it has happened again. I see other people have the same problem so what is the problem why don't you people do what you are paid for an so your du-jil-a-cence. *ln
At first the windshield wipers would intermittently turn on, then the horn would not work and then the airbag light came on and would only turn off with the key in the off position. Vehicle was taken to the dealership and was told it was the clockspring which is not covered under the bumper to bumper warranty......odom reading approx 32,000.

I have a dodge ram 1500 wagon 1998, and i have been experiencing alot of problems with the transmission and keeps stalling whenever i turn the wheel to the right side. This is very weird and the mechanics do not understand this complaint. The abs light has been coming on for a while and no one knows why either, but i do not see any recalls on this problem either. Can you help me resolve this matter. I have replaced the door locks on each door at least twice in this van and it has cost alot of money, i think by now this should have been recalled on this vehicle as well. Please help me with this vehicle, i love riding it but it has been having alot of the same riding and maitenance problems and no one knows why or understands why it keeps coming back after fixing them multiple times. I am so disgusted. I will never buy another chrysler vehicle, nor will i encourage anyone else to do so. I purchased a 1998 chrysler sebring lxi on 6/29/2000. Since that time i have had the following problems:key won't work in trunk all the time. Lack of air bag deployment - 2 different incidents (reported in a previous complaint)passenger side seat belt will open if you just push against it - i have taken the vehicle to the certified service agent (over a year ago) who was supposed to order the part and contact me when it arrived. He never did and now that dealership is not the service agent anymore.driver's side seatbelt twists inside the covered area attached to the interior wall of the vehicle.high-pitched whining sound coming from front driver's side tire area. Have replaced rotors twice.have had to purchase those expensive ($600 - $800) goodyear tires about 4 - 6 times.one day, about 18 months ago, i was on the highway driving to work, going uphill and my car just slowly died. All the lights went out, i could not give it any gas, i could barely steer it and it just rolled to a stop. I kept trying to crank it and nothing happened. I was still partly in the road, so i put it in neutral and tried to back it onto the shoulder. After doing that, i tried to crank it again and it started right up. I drove it to a garage nearby, but they could find nothing wrong.hesitation when going from park to drive.more complaints are being submitted in a subsequent form.
Had a recall on kia sorento- 2007. A year later they call me on it. I told them about recalls when i first received the vehicle. They want me to pay for it first. Then they fixed it a year later and now one of the recalls is acting up again. Now it is something with the itu control ???? so after they default on our contract about my personal info they had extra finance charge because i was sick and had a warranty. They refused on that too! so they repo my car after i told them to come and get it. Total of 4 recalls on a car i bought two years ago.

1.the front engine cover gasket on my 1997 ford f-150 was defective.there was a recall at one time on this problem but was checked by a ford dealer and nothing was found to be wrong.approximately 6 months later it had to be replaced.because the recall had expiredford would not replace it for free and so i had to have it replaced at my cost of $600.00.2.air bags and seat belt restraints.my wife had a wreck in the same vehicle and the air bags did not deploy or did the seat belts lock up like they are supposed to.i tried to get ford to explain to me why that would happen and they said the insurance company would have to handle it.the problem was still not solved.also the abs did not work. *nlm
I was involved in a minor car accident when my airbag deployed and caused 2nd degree burns to both of my top forearms, i also fractured my right wrist that separated the cartilage in my wrist and required surgery.i am a healthy, active 42 year old woman never been in an accident.i believe the airbag did not deploy correctly and may even need to be recalled to make sure it was installed efficiently.the burns sustained to my arms are not consistent with typical burns from airbags that i have researched.the bag itself did not come out straight, nor even hit my chest, it came out of the top of the steering wheel.i want to prevent this from happening to others.

I bought a new vw golf in february 2004.at about 6:30 p.m. On 4/1, i drove over a pothole (or some bump in the road) while driving on storrow drive in boston and suddenly two airbags deployed on the driver side of my car and my seat belt appeared to recoil.the two airbags that deployed were the side airbag and the curtain airbag.i brought my car into a boston dealer/service department the following morning.after inspecting the car, the service department said there was no physical damage to the car (except of course the deployed airbags and broken seat belt), but that there was "crash data" on the car's computer.the service department went on to say that this is not a warranty situation because the car detected a crash (despite the fact that there was admittedly no damage to the car), causing the airbags to deploy.

It was raining outside and i was driving at normal speed when two cars in front of me the man started to go through a yellow light and instead immediately stopped. I could not hit my brakes hard enough to prevent hitting the caravan in front of me and the impact was hard enough that it should have deployed my front air bags, which it did not.in addition, i had my seat belt on and it loosened and my head hit the roof of the car causing my head to have a cut and start bleeding and my left side after going to the er and having x-rays, was found to have severe tissue bruising from the impact from the seat belt and my air bags not deploying.i need a front end cap to get my car fixed and being on disability with two children, am on a fixed income and i feel that pontiac should have to pay for my parts and labor so i can continue to drive my vehicle.

Air bags did not deploy in head on crash at 45 50 mph in my 2013 dodge durango.
I was in an accident where my car was stopped in the middleof traffic an a charter bus rear ended me going 45-50mph causing me to hit a van in front of me causing me to spin into the opposite way of traffic and my airbags did not deployed. I have contacted my insurance(progressive) numerous times concerning why my airbags did not deploy they told me to call manufacturer. I call dodge/chrysler and they told me that insurance is the ones who does the investigation. I contacted progressive again they told me no investigation will be done due to the fact my car is considered a total loss.
I am the owner of a 2001 hyundai elantra.i purchased the vehicle new.less than one year ago, my air bag light came on.i took it back to the dealer and they had to replace it because it had "dried up"!they replaced the bag.less than a year later, but now my warranty is just up, the light is back on.i have notified the dealer, the consumer division of hyundai, the ceo of hyundai of my concerns and all they have offered to do is split the part, only, with me at 50%.i do not feel that this is a responsiblesolution for a company to take on a part from the manufacturer that is less than a year old.it has to be a safety issue to have faulty airbags!i have never had an accident with the vehicle, it has never been inflated...why would it "dry out"?i have a couple of other issues, but i don't believe they could be safety related.i contacted the ceo directly by certified mail and never got a response back from him.abl.pco
1. Hit black ice & crashed my vehicle.2.the air bag does not work at all.3.paid an auto body to fix it,he told me it was all set to just have the air bag light reset,went to battles to have it reset & they told me it was not fixed correctly.
Sept 17th 2011. Sat. Night about 10:00pm i was driving my 2003 ford f-150 truck east. I was going about 45-50mph on a straight country road when a loud sound went off and the airbags deployed and the truck came to a screeching stop. I was able to keep the truck on the road as it came to a complete stop. I and a passenger were wearing seatbelts and were able to get out of the truck. It was full of smoke and the horn was blaring , we opened the hood and disabled the horn put on the emergency flashers. The truck would not move. Couldn't get it in or out of gear, its a standard.i called my insurance co. And we had my truck towed from there to a friends house. Both of us were pretty shakened and had hurt necks and backs and i hurt my hand. My friend got hurt the worst and is still seeing doctors for his neck injuries. I am okay but sore and haven't gone to the doctors. My insurance won't cover the damage it caused inside the cab or have airbags re-installed. I have full coverage! the air bags just deployed on their own. Out of the blue. Gives me a whole new perspective about air bags,they may save your live or take your life! they are scary, smell bad, ruin your car and have to be replaced along with a brain before the truck will run. The truck is still disabled today. I feel it was a defect in the airbag sensors or the airbags themselves! and it should be covered by either my insurance or the ford motor company. It's a safety feature and should be covered by one of the two! i had the truck for 4 years and nothing had ever happened like that before. Its never been hit in the front and i was just driving along. On a straight road and boom. The airbags deployed and the truck came to a sudden stop. It was traumatizing to say the least!
Fell asleep, went off left side of road, managed to get car back on road, car over corrected, spun out of control, car flipped over.no airbags were deployed.no side curtain airbags deployed.cervical, lumbar, and chest injury resulted.
In november 2002, i discovered a problem with my automatic transmission in my 2001 honda accord. Subsequent to this date ihad three transmission replacements, all unsuccessful. Two of my transmissions did not last longer than a week before they were diagnosed with transmission failure. Honda is unwilling to deal with this problem and has been difficult to reach. The service staff continually tries to tell me that the problem is "in my head", yet they continue to replace my transmission unit on each visit. If you have a problem with your 2001/2002 model please file a complaint with the bbb auto line, the bureau of automotive repair, or the new motor vehicle board, this is the only way that honda will become responsive to this problem. Although they extended the warranty on all transmission to 100,000 miles, this only covers 100,000 miles on the odometer not on the life of the new transmission. How can i make honda accountable for my unsafe vehicle? they are not responsive in any way!
Couldn't stop in time to avoid rearend collision my hyundai elantra 09 airbag did not deploy ,the front clip was totaled. Hyundi should be held liable for my injuries which is severe neck and back pain. I need some advice on how to proceed.
I have a 2001 300m with 26,000 miles on it, and last week i heard a pop-and the airbag light went on. After paying for a diagnostic, i was told that the clock spring needed to be replaced. Something isn't right!is there a recall on this car?????
On a 2006 chevy impala, the air bag indicator light on dashboard came on and remained on. Car was taken to chevrolet dealer who said it would be quite expensive to repair, so letting it go. Research on the internet reveals this problem. Also saw a technical service bulletin related to codes relating to air bag light remaining on. Danger here is that this should be fixed by chevrolet with a recall, but no recall as of yet. This defect should be fixed by chevrolet. Someone is going to die because of this issue not being recalled by chevrolet.
My son was t-boned by a suv- air lifted to a trauma center, a coma was induced. He remained there for several weeks- we were told he would not live-he now has 7 plates,48 pins, in his face- all his teeth along with bone were ripped from his mouth. Both eye sockets needed to be repaired and his nose was crushed. Lastly, his jaw was wired for months and another full blown surgery was needed. Why? because the air bag on the side passenger door did not deploy. Why because jaguar said it was not hit at a certain angle. Well there was no passenger door at all. I am upset and confused how jaguar can get away with this?
At 6:30 a.m. On 4/4/2012 i was driving home from work when i fell asleep ,crossed the center line, hit a semi head on & my driver side airbag didn't deploy. The 2002 ford taurus was a vehicle i purchased new. The passenger side with no one in that seat did deploy.
Own a 2005 mercury mountaineer.since i've purchased it i've had issues with the airbag light staying on, the seatbelts not registered as being undone and the gas not registering (i fill it up and it says the last amount and will not say it's full until sometimes 2-3 days).i'm most concerned about the airbags and the seatbelts.i seen that earlier models and 2006 have issues with the airbag not deploying.the dealership has replaced the sensor 3 times for the airbag and put in a new seat belt system about 15 mos. Ago.the dealership will not cover it again and says i need to pay for it.this has been an ongoing problem and from the web research, it's not problems that mercury/ford is unaware.these are safety issues.
My son was killed in his 2006 ford 150 pickup truck driving 45 miles an hour. His truck apparently left the road with no signs of brakes being applied, flipped several times. The airbags never deployed. His insurance company was threatening me to release the truck from storage which i did. I have since regained my senses enough to search the web and see that there were many recalls on the brake lines of this make truck.
Airbag seatbelt dash light erroneously stays on happens frequently dealer has affix for 1000.00 outrageous for a defect . Just comes on no reason the seat belt sensor needs replacing according to dealer . Could mask a real problem if in a small bump to another object or another problem in the safety restraint system . Pcna is aware of this problem .
On february 2, 2008, my husband and i were driving from milwaukee wi to madison wi which is about 80 miles.there was no snow on the road that morning, roads were clear.all of a sudden we heard what sounded like a gun shot go off.we had no idea what it was and moved out of traffic to the shoulder to pull over.we then noticed that the side airbag that is located in the drivers seat deployed. Nothing hit us, we hit nothing. Called schlossmans honda city that mondaythey said they have never heard of this happening.i made an appointment to bring the car .the first thing they said was that i must have hit something.then made another appointment for them to look at it and run some tests on it.again nothing.the sensor triggered the airbag but there is no damage anywhere on my car.this repair is going to cost over $1200 honda refuses to cover this.i have about 30,000 miles on my 2004 element, my warranty is expired.i contactedprivate auto insurance, i have a $500 deductible .i have contacted honda corporation in california and started a claim because i feel not only should they cover this repair but should check out the other sensors and airbags in my car.what if i get this one fixed and it happens again?we could have gotten into a serious accident or worse.i have researched this on the internet, seems there are several peoplethat have had problems with honda's airbags.they either deploy when they aren't suppose to or don't deploy in serious accidents.i believe this is honda's responsibility to check all airbags in certain models.currently my car is not fixed, i am still working with honda city pete loberg, mgr. Driving at 25 - 30 mph i was hit head on by another mid size vehicle.i sustained head, neck, and back injuries and my airbags did not deploy.my concern is that i have a 2003 hyundai sonata will those bags not deploy in a head on?my wife and child drive the 2003 .i am very concerned.my insurance company want to "repair" my vehicle that failed.
My car (1997 nissan 240 sx) being driven by my son was in an accident where the car was totaled by impact. None of the airbags deployed but yet the light came on saying they did. If they had my son may not have suffered from a serious concussion which we're about to go to the hospital the 2nd time for nor the neck sprain that he did. I've e-mailed nissan to see if i can get an answer as to why the airbags did not deploy when the light indicates they did but i've not heard back from them yet.

I own a 2008 hyundai azera the airbag light came on the dashboard and stayed lit.i took it to the dealership and was told there was a defective side impact airbag sensor that needed to be replaced.i was given a 2009 hyundai sonata loaner and was in an accident with that vehicle.the other vehicle t-boned my drivers side and caused over $11,000.00 in damage.the side impact airbags did not deploy.i suffered a deep gash to the back of the head requiring staples to close it--a sprained should, which i still do not have full range of motion and a softball size hemotoma on my left leg.i contacted hyundai corporation in ca to file a claim.i followed all of their protocol, filled out their forms and supplied all documents requested--ie: police report, estimate, photos, repair document from my '08 azera and overnighted the package to them within their allotted time frame.it's been 8 weeks since the accident and i still do not have an answer from hyundai as to why the airbags did not deploy.
Will be driving down the road and depending where located in seat, the passenger airbag will disable. This vehicle has cloth seats and does not have the leather. You must wiggle around in the seat to make the passenger airbag reactivate. Sometimes it works and sometimes you must stop and cut off and restart the vehicle to make it work. This is intermittent.
I am so disgusted after reading all the same problems with the 2002 ford explorer.i too have the airbag problem, they told me it was the airbag pretentioner and it is $650.00, now my air bag will not deploy if i get into an accident.i have the extended deluxe warranty that wont cover it.i also have a problem with the rear temp and mode actuators that failed and binding again not covered under warranty that is $510.00 to repair.i truly think ford should recall these same problems.

For the last 6 months "air bag" light comes "on" and remains and goes 'off' intermittently. I took the car to perkins eastside, crestwood, ky-502-241-3042. The dealer told me that the "event" of "air bag on" is not being recorded by the computer and they cannot find the problem. Today, i went to the dealer while the light is "on" and still could not determine the cause. The dealer indicated that the air bag controller module is faulty. This is a safety issue and i am afraid that the air bag wont deploy in case of emergency. I need your help so that the corporation replaces the computer module without any charge to me, because it is an issue of safety and public good.
A cab driver ran into the concrete divider and hit another guy.that guy then turned into my car and forced me over the curb and through the fence.the driver side air bag did not deploy during an accident where my front bumper was totally gone.the car is currently in body shop so nothing was done to correct it yet.
I can not find on this site, or anywhere else any test/study of airbag performance relating to vehicle proper windshield standards, specifically repaired rock chips in windshields during an accident where life is dependent upon working airbags and windshield integrity.having been in the safe windshield installation business for over 40 years, i'm concerned that there seems to have been no crash testing of vehicles equipped with front airbags with a windshield that is chipped, cracked, or weakened in any way, either having been "repaired" or not repaired. I am sure that the weakened windshield will not back up the airbag 100% of it's intended design to enable that airbag to provide the full 100% benefit it was designed to do protecting occupants in a collision.

In july 2009 i purchased a new 2010 toyota matrix from sunrise toyota in oakdale , new york. When shopping for my vehicle i was looking for one that had a drivers side knee airbag since i had recently had knee surgery and a chronic knee problem. When looking at the 2010 toyota matrix the window sticker (monroney) indicated that the car came equipped with a drivers side knee air bag as standard safety equipment. The sales person also reiterated that the car had this safety equipment. I purchased the vehicle. In january of 2010, nearly 6 months after i purchased the toyota matrix, i received a letter from toyota telling me that my car did not have a drivers side knee airbag and that the monroney window sticker was wrong. As of the date of this compliant, despite my complaining to the dealership and toyota, i have notreceived any additional information from either the dealer or toyota as to how they intend to resolve this issue since i was deceptively sold a vehicle under the pretense that it had a safety option that it in fact did not. My story was recently publicized in the media with an article in newsday reporting on this serious error that places the public at risk.
I was a passenger in my tiburon and my wife was driving. We were traveling on oklahoma highway 59 and speed limit was 65 mph.a frontal collision with the rear of an extremely large farm tractor at a speed estimated by the investigating state policeman at 25-30 mph. We were both wearing our seatbelts,however i made contact with the windshield and the dash of the car. Neither the driver nor the front passenger airbags deployed. The damage is estimated at 10,500.00, with extensive front end damage fender, hood ,windshield damage, battery , horn, brake components, front suspension grille, front bumper, headlamps, radiator,a/c and heater. We were both injured and were seen at our local er. All this and no air bag deployment needs to be investigated.

Airbag light flashed on/off back in aug. 2003. I took itto the dealership to be repaired and thought that was the end of the problem. Almost a year later in july 2004 my airbag light started flashing on/off again, i then returned it to the dealership where once again it was "fixed or repaired"now, two months later i'm having again the same problem. I don't think toyota knows how to fix this issue and it's a real concern to think that if there's a possible accident or inncodent the air bag(s ) may not deploy. I'm frustrated with this problem and am filing a complaint in hopes that maybe someone will listen or pay attention. This could get to be a costly issue that never gets resolved. I know i'm not the only person to have filed a complaint about this issue. This is a defective vehicle with a frustrating problem.
I put a date due to the system ask me to and again nothing has happened yet.nothing has happened as of yet to anyone in my vehicle but i sent in the form that was given to me to have the airbag repair by the dealership. Now i'm getting another form about the repairs and nobody from the dodge place has called me yet on the part stating that when they get it they will call me. When will they call me when something happens to someone in my vehicle and it will fall on my insurance company. My airbag light keeps coming on whether someone is in the passenger seat or not and the air bag indicator for the driver side the chime malfunctioned and stays onfor 10 minutes and then goes off.heat comes through the vents while driving and the left driver side shakes and vibrates while driving. They stated it was the steering and then later stated on 05.07.08 it was the brakes and rotors. The gm dealer states that it is the rotors which was replaced less than 2 months ago.
I was driving my 2006 pt cruiser and a girl driving a grand cherokee jeep ran a stop sign and hit me in the driver side front fender and driver door.my three children were in the car with me.the impact flipped my car 3 or more times landing us on the drivers side.neither of airbags deployed from the impact.i was driving at approximately 45 mph and she was coming down a hill to the stop sign but showed no sign of slowing down.her speed was probably around 50 mph.the point of contact was at the drivers door and fender and it was crushed.the car was a total loss.i have a neck injury from the whiplash and the flipping of the car and not sure at this point if it will ever get better.it has been 7 mths.i believe chrysler should be made liable for the airbags not deploying with such an impact as we had.
My wife was driving a2002 camry le, went off the road and struck a tree on the passengers side front door. She had massive head injuries and did not survive the crash.none of the frontal airbags opened on such a severe impact. As it might seem initially that these were frontal airbags, but i have seen a2000 corolla where the impact was on the drivers side rear door and both the frontal airbags had deployed.i don't understand how a 2002 camary that is supposed be a newer, better car than a 2000 corolla, failed to have its airbags deploy when the impact was on the passangers side; where on a corolla although the impact was on the driver side rear door; the passenger side airbag deployed.
On october 31,2008 i was in an automobile accident where i was going approximately 30 mph when i hit someone straight on from behind. My airbag did not deploy, nor did my seat belt lock up. I was taken to the hospital where i was told i had a minor concussion, and neck and shoulder sprain. My head hit the steering wheel twice.
Had a frontal crash as i was trying to click in the safety belt while in motion. The impact was severe enough that my head went forward and cracked the windshield injuring my forehead. I lost consciousness for 30 minutes. This was a new car (115 miles) and none of the multiple airbags went off. Tried to have audi explain to me why none of the airbags went off and i got 2 nonsensical reasons (one salesperson suggested that they did not go off because the safety belt was not engaged, a customer representative related to me some mysterious angle - 30 degrees from the midline of the car- where an impact would not activate air bags (!) . I was also given a lecture regarding the safety of audi cars. I asked them to test the front accelerometers in the crashed car but they did not see any point in doing it. I have seen a recall for the curtain air bags of last year a6 model. It seems that the sensors of the 2013 a6 i was driving do not function reliably and do not guarantee the safety of the driver.
While driving the airbag light came on and stayed on. I took it to a ford dealer the same day and was told it was the side airbag problem. The testing code was 1998. They charged me $903.45 to fix it on august 30, 2007. On august 23, 2008 the airbag light started flashing while i was driving. I called the ford dealer and took it right in. Was told the part they replaced had gone bad and needed to be replaced again. Of course they had to order the part and that took three days. I was told that when the light is on the airbags don?t work. This happened six days before the one year warranty ran out and the vehicle had only been 4,100 miles since the part was replaced. The part was replaced for the second time on august 27, 2008 under the one year warrant period.the work was performed so poorly that i have no faith the airbags will work if i ever need them. I took it back to the ford dealer and showed them that the wiring for the side airbag was poking out the back of the seat and the air bag really wasn't on the side it was more of a backseat airbag now. Needless to say i have to leave it with the dealer again to fix it. I have seen the numerous complaints about the airbags and would like to know when ford is going to step up and admit there is a problem.
Air bag sensor does not turn off airbag when a small child sits in the front seat. There is a 359 unit recall on this make/model for this defect but dealer states it doesn't cover my car and that airbag should turn on when passenger weight exceeds 30-40 pounds. Nhtsa campaign id: 07v146000.

I have a kia optima 2008. My airbag light came on recently, and the dealer determined the passenger occupant seat sensor mat needed to be replaced. I have had nothing strange happen to my car, and i take very good care of it. The kia dealership quoted me $1,700. They told me that because of this sensor failure, all of my airbags, including the driver side airbags, have been completely disabled. I read that nhtsa had an investigation into the kia rio's for the same problem, and that kia remedied the problem with extended warranties. This reeks of the same misconduct: the same company, the same problem. I have read online of several other kia optima owners that have had this same issue. I hope that you are able to look into this issue further, for the safety of all kia optima drivers.
Bought car, dad used car ,beeped horn,. Now this is the problem the horn stayed on until it was disconnected at the horn.a little bit later disconnected the relay. So the airbag is intergrated with the horn an that would cause a failure to the airbag to properly function, which will cause injury like it has.it was replaced with a new in box part and guess what it has happened again. I see other people have the same problem so what is the problem why don't you people do what you are paid for an so your du-jil-a-cence. *ln
Vehicle was completely stopped when rear-ended by chevy suburban traveling approx. 50 mph. Car was thrust forward over 50 and struck rear-end of pickup truck. Driver side seat broke on impact-caused seat to slide completely forward. No air bag deployment. Driver was restrained in seat belt, but still hit head on windshield resulting in brain injury.

My complaint is in regards to my employer. I am a police officer and i think the vehicles we are using are being made unsafe by the addition of extra equipment. The dept. Has added computers, shotguns that are mounted overhead and causing officers to hit there heads, not to mention what might happen if one is involved in an accident. They have also shut off are air bags, because the computers are side mounted and are not air bag compatable. They have also installed video cameras and radar units that hang from rearview mirrors. These mounts are not secure and often fall off. I have complained to my bosses and union reps. No one cares, in fact i was told "the dept. Does not taylor make police cars." several officers have already hurt themselves on these extras. I just want a safe vehicle.i do not no who else to turn to. I have also lodged a complaint with osha. Please advise.

Wife was driving down hwy 77 arkansas city kansas, making a pass she lost control after she slid off shoulder at bend of the road. Out of the multiple air bags only one deployed the passengers side curtain. After reviewing the crash site and reading report the first hit to the car was drivers side front end, it was a very hard hit. Steering bag should have gone off as it dug into a turn around mound. Went up and down wide median ditch starting a six turn rolling of the 2007 toyota camry. She went out sun roof even though she had seat belt on. Medical report stats seat belt marks and severe leg injuries. She will never be the same and i'm lucky to still have her. I will use all means to find out why the so called safety features on this car did not prevent some of the damage to this wonderful women.

The person at fault entered the road which he had to pass three lanes until he made it to the last or furthered lane from where he entered into on coming traffic and was a fault as confirmed by police report after speaking with witnesses,the person at fault in myself. I attempted to break when i seen the frontthe car entering into my path/lane. Unable to avoid the collision as all three lane which he crossed all had traffic traveling in the same direction as me on this one way street. I couldn't helped to avoid hitting the mid and back door of his toyota vs swervinginto the other lanes and creating a pile up situation . The impact was nothing less than hard and bad. So much so, i was thrown forward to which the seatbelts stopped me at first but then the faultyseatbeltrealeasedand i injured my left wrist, sprained after trying to catch myself. My husband drives a 2002ford ranger truck.. On 4/19/05 i was in an accident with my 97 geo prism.the vehicle air bags failed to deploy and the seat belts failed to operate correctly causing me to hit the steering wheel and dash causing severe injury to myself and minor passengers in the vehicle.i originally filed complaint through my attorney kenneth miller, jr. Baton rouge, la.i want to settle this case asap.
Purchased 2003 gmc envoy slt on 11/30/2002.service airbag light came on as i was driving the vehicle off the lot.returned to dealer for repair.dealer said it was a loose wire in the sensor.one month later service airbag light came on again.returned it to dealer, could not determine problem so they replaced the passenger side airbag.service air bag lightis on again.this is the third time.also have had intermittent problems with the brakes.when approaching a stop light have had instances where the car will not stop, and the brake pedal is to the floor this has happened 3 times.took it into the dealer and was told this is the way the brakes function on this vehicle????? have had intermittent problems with the 4 wheel drive.the lights on the 4 wheel drive indicator will flash from 2hi all the way to 4 whl drive without every touching the control.extremely disappointed in this vehicle for the cost and unfortunately have a 4 year lease.will not recommend or purchase another gmc product.
Drive time sold me a car that had the air bag light on, and said they were going to fix it, but they never did, now they have changed management and the person who promissed to repair is no longer there, leaving me in a position where the new manager says that the cost to fix the problem is not covered by their business.the car spent a week and a half on their repair shop, and nothing was fixed, my dash was scratched from the outside and they broke a piece between the seats.
I was in a accident . My car was cut off clipped and i proceeded to hit a wall. My sealt belts did not lock up and my passenger who had her seat belt on hit the windshield, i procedeed to smash my face into the stearing wheel. After the car came to a stop and we regained concious our air bags then went off. After the accident was done.
I am so disgusted. I will never buy another chrysler vehicle, nor will i encourage anyone else to do so. I purchased a 1998 chrysler sebring lxi on 6/29/2000. Since that time i have had the following problems:key won't work in trunk all the time. Lack of air bag deployment - 2 different incidents (reported in a previous complaint)passenger side seat belt will open if you just push against it - i have taken the vehicle to the certified service agent (over a year ago) who was supposed to order the part and contact me when it arrived. He never did and now that dealership is not the service agent anymore.driver's side seatbelt twists inside the covered area attached to the interior wall of the vehicle.high-pitched whining sound coming from front driver's side tire area. Have replaced rotors twice.have had to purchase those expensive ($600 - $800) goodyear tires about 4 - 6 times.one day, about 18 months ago, i was on the highway driving to work, going uphill and my car just slowly died. All the lights went out, i could not give it any gas, i could barely steer it and it just rolled to a stop. I kept trying to crank it and nothing happened. I was still partly in the road, so i put it in neutral and tried to back it onto the shoulder. After doing that, i tried to crank it again and it started right up. I drove it to a garage nearby, but they could find nothing wrong.hesitation when going from park to drive.more complaints are being submitted in a subsequent form.
My 2002 mini copper has had the air bag light come on on several occasions now.repaired with new wiring harness in 11/03; now in 1/04 bag light has come on again.dealer via phone cannot tell me if the bags work properly until diagnosed.i have checked web forums for this vehicle and this seems to be a widespread problem.i would think nhtsa or someone should look into this to determine if there should be a recall.
Vehicle was involved in a accident on 1/1/2015 and was hit on the left front of vehicle and the driver and passenger side air bags did not deploy. I request that this be investigated as to why that they did not deploy.

The passenger side airbag seat sensor is malfunctioning and the dash warning reflects that the seat airbag is off. The car is a 2008 pontiac solstice with 16,000 miles. This safety issue has been well documented and the vehicle should be recalled for this safety issue.
1996 ford taurus sitting in the church parking lot and the air bags deployed. No one was in the car except our small dog. Considerable damage to the car including broken windshield. Ford motor company tells me that they have no liability.

We purchased our 2007 ford edge on april 18th 2008 at that time the air bag light was on...the dealer replaced the sensors. On may 2nd we took it back into our local dealership for the light was back on again. They replaced the correct sensor and it made it until october when the light was back on for the third time since we owned the vehicle. This time they replaced another sensor and worked on the sunroof for it was not closing right. In november 2008 the light was back on again and this time wiring was replaced. Three weeks later the air bag light came on again circuits were checked for shorts? then in june 2009 the air bag light was back on and this time flickers on and off. They installed a new rmc, another sensor and the restraint control module. December 3rd we took it back to our service department with the air bag light on for the 7th time now, and the ford hotline had them checking all crash sensors, the right axel seal was leaking oil as well and the part was ordered to fix. Took the car back on the 16th and they supposedly "fixed" all problems! two days later the air bag light was back on for the 8th time and ford has had my car since then. It is now january 2010 and they still are working on the air bag issue..headquarters has been contacted but doesn't seem to do us any good. The drivers side air bag sensor was replaced and we were told that it finally solved the problem but an hour later we received a call from the service department stating that the air bag light is on for the 9th time now and is currently awaiting another part to be replaced! this to us is a major safety issue that needs some attention!
I was making a routine turn and lost control of steering. It only happened the one time, police report said car rolled two or three times, total loss to car and injury to driver. I don't remember exactly the cause other than i lost control. Can't say any of the recalls did or did not cause the accident. My primary complaint is that i paid for front and side airbags, and none deployed on a car that rolled two or three times. Why am i paying for equipment that is not effective? if a car rolls over at minimum the side airbags should have deployed. I would also think this would trigger the other air bags. With all the recalls how would we know if any of these contributed to the crash? i understand the rollover rating applies to the stability of the car, but rating the safety in a rollover accident should also be rated. Why don't air bags deploy automatically when car hits sides or the roof? we paid for safety and reliability of the toyota, but it appears that the extra money is wasted.
My 1999 nissan pathfinder had 1 prior owner purchased from nissan auto mallin li ny the back car was in beautiful condition backseatslooked as if they had never been used dealer informed me vehicle had been owned & customized for the 1 prior owner who had a handicap as did his child who had to be seated in the front due to his medical issues/handicap issuesthis was why the vehicle was in such beautiful condition since i was totally disabled 1994in an accident head on to the extent the frame was bentbadly yet the air bags did not deploy i was very concerned yetwas told air bags were in the vehicle & appeared to be not a problem orthe light would not go on upon starting vehicle i also made several inquires to nissan dealer consumer affairs etc... Etc... & my insurer & was told no like issues &/or recalls or safety issues & my fears were not warranted well on 2 other front end crashes i believe due to other safety issues acceleration steering loss & breaking issues again with major damage to front end radiator destroyed chassy bent /cracked the vehicle airbags failed to deploy nor did the seat belts lock again i in 1998 did again make numerous inquiries & found airbag systems had placed defective switches in vehicles but failed to have a tracking system to id the vehicles &/or manufacturers whom had placed these switches that made it appear as the air bags were indeed functioning when they were turned off & that nhtsa stated it was not there job to give him documents showing vehicles with these faulty switches which was an endangerment to owners&/repair facilities who would be unaware the airbags were turned off as the light showing proper abs function i cant believe the gross disregard i also understand that these modifications did not have to be reported unless done so voluntarily to dmv/or nhtsa until sometime in 2002/3/4 so putting your vin # in would not show a consumer their airbags were in fact deactivated even if voluntary documents were submit.
There were no accidents leading up to a failure. The airbag light in my 2008 kia spectra ex suddenly came on. After taking it in to a dealer, i was notified that the entire bottom portion of the seat needed to be replaced. The car could not tell if there was a person in the passenger seat. This deactivated the entire airbag system. Several other complaints are here: http://www.arfc.org/complaints/2008/kia/spectra/air_bags/problem.aspx. This does not seem to be an isolated issue, and should be addressed by kia.
I rear ended a pickup truck and my air bags did not deploy nor did my seatbelt re track causing head injury by hitting the windshield and jaw injury by hitting the steering wheel.
11-04-2010c/s airbag light came on, pin tension was adjusted on harness from lf seat airbag .was given statement may need a harness and air bag if light returns.no attempt was made to replace the defective air bag and harness at that time. 11-14-2014 the light was back on and toyota co. Tells me that the only way to fix the problem is to replace the air bag and harness and i am being billed approximately $2300.00 for this service. I feel that they should have fixed the problem and replaced the parts in 2010 because of the many safety warnings of possible death and other devastating results from continuing to drive a vehicle that had already been given a stop fix instead of replacing the product when they hada warning of another problem that could have deadly consequences in the future.
I was driving to work on rt 8 in butler, pa. A deer ran into my car, hitting the front end. I was going about 50 mph. I slammed on the brakes and got out to look at my car. The front bumper was completely smashed, along with the bumper being folded, ac condenser broke, grille broke,radiator broke. I got back in my car and noticed the air bag symbol was on but by air bags didn't deploy. I wasn't wearing a seat belt and i was the only one in the car. My seat belts locked up for some reason and the air bags didn't go off. I called the chevy company and asked them why, and they told me that you need to hit the car in a certain spot on the car, but a mechanic told me usually if the rebar is cracked the air bags go off. They said there is nothing they can do about it. I paid the car off and i didn't have full coverage. So my car is practically garbage. I think they should at least fix the air bag problem and the seat belts.
1.the front engine cover gasket on my 1997 ford f-150 was defective.there was a recall at one time on this problem but was checked by a ford dealer and nothing was found to be wrong.approximately 6 months later it had to be replaced.because the recall had expiredford would not replace it for free and so i had to have it replaced at my cost of $600.00.2.air bags and seat belt restraints.my wife had a wreck in the same vehicle and the air bags did not deploy or did the seat belts lock up like they are supposed to.i tried to get ford to explain to me why that would happen and they said the insurance company would have to handle it.the problem was still not solved.also the abs did not work. *nlm
The van will start thenimmediately turn off. It does this more when it is hot outside. If you let the vehicle sit for about 4 hours in the shade it will start and get you to your next destination. If the weather is too hot it won't start until the weather changes to cooler. I have replaced the starter, two computers, got the circuit board cold soldered. Replaced the battery and can't remember all the rest. It still has this problem. It seems to be very common. There is a web site topix.com that has a forum just for this problem. No one has been able to fix it completely. Some one some where has got to know how to fix this problem. Also the clock spring is under recall. Once you get the recall done after a few years the spring breaks again and they don't fix it again. So i no longer have a horn or airbags that work.

I started the van that morning and the airbag light remained on. I was not aware at that time that my horn and cruise control were also affected.i found that the horn didn't work when a vehicle pulled out in front of me and i almost hit it.after that i checked the fuses and relays but found nothing wrong.i even took the horns off the van and wired them up directly to the battery. Also my cruise control worked fine until the product failed.now that dodge fixed the clockspring the airbag light is off, i don't know if the airbag will work ?the horn works but it's not as loud as it used to be, and of course the cruise control don't. The cruise light flashes or stays on for a short time and i hope it don't short out and cause a electrical fire or the cruise system turns on and i can't turn it off?i called to take the van back the next day after i had sat at the dodge dealer for a couple hours the night before to get this issue resolved, and i was told it would be an $80.00 charge unless it was something that they caused.i told the person that it had been working fine until there product failed,and i didn't think i should have to pay. Regardless to say i didn't take the van back.i don't have an extra $80.0 o give away.oh and a strange coincidence, the estimate for the clockspring is $80.00 without a recall notice, if your vehicle is on the list.i was seriously thinking about buying a new dodge truck but after this i might just go with toyota. I never got to see the part that failed.
I hadrecall repairs done for my 1994 nissan, altima. The recall was for the passenger side air bag.after the air bag was replaced the air bag light began to flash. I took the car back to the nissan dealer that did the work. They checked the car and said that it was probably the switch, and it would cost $1500.00. I told them that this happened after they did the recall. But, they did not want to do anything for me. This has been several months ago. I will get the exact date. The date below is a guesstimate. But, the work was done at passport nissan in alexandria, va.

Airbag clock spring apparently has failed on my less than 3 year old vehicle, a 2013 ram 1500 express causing my hazard lights flash constantly, horn constantly blows, no cruise control operation, dash display light flickers and a constant seat belt alarm sounding. All this on a 3 year old vehicle.
Air bag light is constantly on and will not go off.after much research this has proven to be a problem for many 2005 santa fe owners, as well as owners of santa fe's in general.mine came on after i paid to have plugs, wires, and valve cover gaskets changed.
In 2019, i was notified of a recall consisting of the pods(passenger occupant detection system) system stating that the wiring and connector needed to be changed. I took the vehicle in to the dealership to have the recall service repairs done. After completion of the recall repairs, i have now began to have issues with my airbag sensor which is part of the pods system. Around march 2020, i began having issues with my airbag turning on and off while a passenger is sitting in my passenger seat with the seatbelt on. I would have to instruct my passenger to disengage the seatbelt and re-engage it in order for the airbag to come back on and recognize that there is a person over the minimal weight requirement occupying the seat. This issue have continued to occur on and off throughout the year. On nov. 6th, i was in an accident(rear-ended) with no major injuries. That accident was luckily not very severe and i am very fortunate that i didn't hit the car that was in front of me and needed my airbag to deploy and i wouldn't due to a faulty airbag sensor that was fine until the recall campaign in 2019. So on friday, nov 13th, i took my car in for diagnostic testing at the dealership and when the service department called, i was told that it was in fact my sensor inside my front passenger seat that is malfunctioning. This did not occur until the wiring and connector was changed in dec 2019. I have contacted the corporate office of the auto maker and they are refusing to pay any part of the cost to have the sensor replaced and i am being quoted a repair price of $1200 and that's just for the part alone. This is a safety issue and i feel that since the company issued a recall campaign for the replacement of the wiring and connector, they should do the same for the airbag sensor before a fatal accident occurs to a passenger of the same type ofvehicle with the same issue. There are currently several complaints about the exact same issue posted on this site and several others.
Summary: on certain vehicles, the seat position sensor (sps) detects the driver's seating position and adjusts the air bag inflation pressure accordingly. The wiring harness for the sps was attached to the seat frame in the wrong location and may have been over tightened. The sensor wire may break and cause the air bag warning light to be illuminated, and the sps to fail.
The airbag light randomly came on in my car.i have absolutely no clue why it came on.i had it vag com'd. And a code came up as being a bad control module for the airbag.
The airbag light is always on. This is on a 2008 jeep wrangler, regular side drive. I have checked with a jeep dealer they are very disconcerted about it. They said i have to pay to have this safety item fixed.
The 2005 hyundai sonata gls has several problems that should be under warranty and recalled, close to the 2006 recalls.we own a company and have purchased over 12 to 14 hyundais. We have found that the sonata gls 2005 has problems with the airbag deployment, seatbelt restraint, the front tires are closer to the back & not centered on the wheel well (has been this way since purchased, but they do not correct.), have electrical problems & that unibody type frame & so on.in an accident where a truck left the tail gate down & a ladder hit the windshield, the car was then parked, turned off , the keys taking out of the ignition & then began looking for the cell phone then proceeded to open the door to get out infer all that the driver's side airbag deployed which also caused the front driver's seat belt to lock up & can not be pulled out to wear. Hyundai states that this is not warranted even though it was deployed after the accident occured. Hyundai had a great warranty 10 years ago. They do not stand up to their warranty as before & i have found that some of the warranty has changed. I have switched to toyota. Hyundai has done nothing so far to correct.
Air bag wiring harness on 1999 ford explorer replaced at a cost to me of $550. Told by dealer it was defective per tsb 03-24-1.x4.5x. It was replaced before when under warranty for same defect. Told by dealer not a safety issue so ford would not cover costs, but also told if not replaced air bag system could fail.

With your approval, i had an aoi electrical air bag switch installed on my 2004 subaru outback. The air bag error light will not reset and subaru has informed them that all air bags may be immobilized as well as the seat belt tensioners. I cannot seem to get aoielectrical to attend to the problem.
I own a 2002 beetle.it has 55,000 miles on it.two months ago the air bag light came on and won't go off.now, the turn signals won't work. To add to this once in awhile the sun roof will open on it's own!!! the dealer said it will cost about $650 to fix.this is not the first time with electrical problems with this car. The complete lighting system went out, the security door lock system stopped, the rear brake lights quit working,both windows have stopped going up and down. A couple of times the engine won't start and three times it will just shut down while driving.this car has a mind of it's own.luckily no one has been hurt yet.some of this has been recalled and some not.
I am the original owner of a 2007 350z. I just found out today that there has been a recall on the passenger air bag sensor since november 2008. I first began to notice the passenger air bag light being off over three (3) years ago. I had my 100,000 mile service around six (6) months ago. The sensor was listed as problematic, but not identified as a potential recall.today, i called the nissan usa number and spoke with [xxx] who told me that my vin # did not match the ones from the recall in november 2008. I informed her that if a passenger in my car is harmed because nissan usa will not live up to its responsibility to its customers and community, there will be a major lawsuit coming. Passenger air bag fails to acknowledge lightweight passengers though they are over 100 pounds.failure of about 85% of the time noted shortly after purchase. At first the saturn dealer in gresham said they would do nothing about it, then making it clear this was not acceptable they replaced the sensor. Before long the same problem occasional occurred, now it has become over 50% of the time. Sometimes going off after driving a while, sometimes cycling off and on.

On any given day, i encounter one or more vehicles with severe front end damage and in too many cases, the vehicle made contact with an object between the two front frame extensions and in almost all cases, the front air bags did not deploy.i've encountered dodge ram pick-ups with the engine driven into the firewall, damaging the dash area. They hit at the center of the bumper and the air bags did not deploy.it has been found in numerous other vehicles as well. The bumper folds out at the ends and leaves the air bag switches untouched if the vehicle makes contact between the ends of the two front main frame members.

The srs system in my honda civic ex 1997 went out when i had first purchased the used car in june 2004 with around 145,00 miles on it. I had a new srs electrical system put in . It has been two years and the system has gone out again. I now have to fix it again and my car specialist has told me that the price has doubled on the part, and that this is a common occurrence in honda civics.
I was driving in the off road area of oceano dunes and went off a sand dune head first about 15 feet.the entire front end is smashed, i hit the steering wheel so hard it is bent.neither the air bag nor the seat belt worked.i had taken the truck in for repair five different times because the air bag light would stay on for long periods of time.they said they had repaired it the last time but obviously they hadn't.i have called repeatedly since the accident, they keep promising to return my call but i get no response from them. First they wouldn't believe there was anything wrong and now they refuse to accept responsibility for the failure of their safety equipment to work.i wonder if any one is interested in a class action suit.
After buying the car i started having problems with airbag warning light system, and continue to have this problem over the next 3 years. I have taken this car to two different dealerships for this problem and they would fix the problem for a short time and then the light would come back on. Sept 17th 2011. Sat. Night about 10:00pm i was driving my 2003 ford f-150 truck east. I was going about 45-50mph on a straight country road when a loud sound went off and the airbags deployed and the truck came to a screeching stop. I was able to keep the truck on the road as it came to a complete stop. I and a passenger were wearing seatbelts and were able to get out of the truck. It was full of smoke and the horn was blaring , we opened the hood and disabled the horn put on the emergency flashers. The truck would not move. Couldn't get it in or out of gear, its a standard.i called my insurance co. And we had my truck towed from there to a friends house. Both of us were pretty shakened and had hurt necks and backs and i hurt my hand. My friend got hurt the worst and is still seeing doctors for his neck injuries. I am okay but sore and haven't gone to the doctors. My insurance won't cover the damage it caused inside the cab or have airbags re-installed. I have full coverage! the air bags just deployed on their own. Out of the blue. Gives me a whole new perspective about air bags,they may save your live or take your life! they are scary, smell bad, ruin your car and have to be replaced along with a brain before the truck will run. The truck is still disabled today. I feel it was a defect in the airbag sensors or the airbags themselves! and it should be covered by either my insurance or the ford motor company. It's a safety feature and should be covered by one of the two! i had the truck for 4 years and nothing had ever happened like that before. Its never been hit in the front and i was just driving along. On a straight road and boom. The airbags deployed and the truck came to a sudden stop. It was traumatizing to say the least!
On january 20, 2020, the west barnstable fd responded to a reported crash on rt 6.on arrival we found a dodge caravan where the driver's side airbag had deployed without the vehicle being in a crash.the vehicle was driving on a smooth state highway in normal traffic and the driver reported that the airbag went off without warning or reason.there were no injuries.
I have 2008 pontiac torrent vin#[xxx], that the passenger side air bag will not activate due to the failure of the pps module. I feel that this module should be replaced under a recall since gm has outstanding recalls with same model vehicles prior to the 2008 model, i believe that this vehicle had defective module installed and gm should be made to resolve this situation due to the possibility of serious injury or death in a front end accident. I have a 03 ford escape, and the trouble is endless. The car will not start at times and it is a strong smell of gas when this happens. I have had it in and out of the shop about 6 times and has had the car for only 2 years. The failure to start is scary because you don't know if the car is going to explode or what. The dealership tells me that it is a sensor that goes out and tells the car it doesn't have to start. Been replaced 6 times and the other day it did it again. I hate to go out of town because of the fear of getting stranded on the highway. And another thing the smell of the engine is crazy my daughter has asthma and talking about a problem for her it is. I can go to work and go back 30 minutes later to my car and you can tell that it is still smelling of course where i got it from they told me that it was no concern it was due to the fact of them dropping oil when they did a change, come on people 2 months later. I fear that one day it will explode i just pray to god that my family is not in there. The airbag light will not go off and from reading in here i am scared to death. Something really needs to be done about this problem before some family loses a member.
Srs light on 2003 honda cr-v keeps coming on.it's been taken to the shop with this same problem.we've been told that it won't come on again.it did.called today and was told that they were not sure if the airbags would deploy or not if involved in a crash.really getting old!!
My wife was involved in an accident on a 4 lane road and was going approximately 40-45 mph when she hit another vehicle with almost no braking involved. Neither the drive or passenger airbag deployed. This was a major selling point when we purchased this vehicle since we would be using it to transport our family. If these do not work then the chrysler corporation should do everything to the best of it's ability to ensure that anyone that buys their products should get what they have paid for.
Had a major accident with my vehicle, in which the car accelerated and i crashed into a tree.the sensor in front of the car didn't open the front airbag in the steering wheel at all.thank god i was wearing my seat belt, it kept me fromcrash head on through the wind shield.i was seriously injured and had to be taken to the hospital. When i called the kia dealership about what had happen tothe car and the defect of the airbags not opening up, the service department manager got very nasty with me, like they didn't want to take responsibility for there products.that's the reason why i'm filing this complaint against kia.i could have receive more serious injuries in what i have or worse, i could have been killed.
Passenger air bag light randomly comes on with adult passenger in seat indicating that air bag not functioning. Occurs approximately once a week.dealership has replaced passenger seat cushion twice and it still does not work properly.dealership is not able to fix the problem. I have a 2001 honda accord, 2 years ago the srs light came on and stayed on.i took the car to the dealer and they charged me $118.00 to reset it.this year, september 2008 the light came on again and has stayed on.it is a known problem with honda dealer , yet they will not cover the cost of getting this fixed.now my passenger airbag will not deploy.i have seen many complaints about this same problem.it should be covered by the manufacturer, obviously it is a defect.
My vehicle is a 2008 chevy equinox. The passenger air bag sensor will not activate the device when my 150 to 165 lb wife is sitting in the vehicle. I have taken it to the dealer twice, they advise the system is functioning normally, as it was designed, and that my wife does not weigh enough to activate the "on" function of the air bag. This seems unsafe, and unreasonable to me. Id like to file a complaint, and ask, does this violate nhtsa safety standards? does the nhtsa research support that a 110 lb adult should not have airbag protection? ive noticed similar complaints on your website for this issue. Had a recall on kia sorento- 2007. A year later they call me on it. I told them about recalls when i first received the vehicle. They want me to pay for it first. Then they fixed it a year later and now one of the recalls is acting up again. Now it is something with the itu control ???? so after they default on our contract about my personal info they had extra finance charge because i was sick and had a warranty. They refused on that too! so they repo my car after i told them to come and get it. Total of 4 recalls on a car i bought two years ago.
Air bag light keeps coming on. Kia fixed this issue at least 5 times now the light is back on and they will not repair because i am out of warranty. If air bag light is on air bags will not deploy at time of impact i have 3 small children. They have not been able to resolve the issue.
At first the windshield wipers would intermittently turn on, then the horn would not work and then the airbag light came on and would only turn off with the key in the off position. Vehicle was taken to the dealership and was told it was the clockspring which is not covered under the bumper to bumper warranty......odom reading approx 32,000.
My brother had to drive my vehicle in an emergency case. On the way to return the vehicke to me he crashed the jeep into a telephone pole the vehicle was really damaged although with the impact the police said that the air bags should have come out but didn't at the time i couldn't afford another vehicle the car dealership would not give me another car instead they fixed the same jeep and wanted me to continue paying on it until i was complete. I purchased a 2003 ex kia sorento in june 2003. On july 13,2003 the air bag light system came on.the vehicle was taken to barron kia.they stated they replaced the air bag module.it took five days to repair. On november 11, 2003 the air bag light went back on. The vehicle was taken to barron kia on the 14th. It was at the dealership for another six days. They stated it was the lojack alarm system that was causing the problem.it was fixed. On november 29,2003 the airbag light began to flicker on and off. The vehicle was taken back to barron kia on december 3, 2003, in order for a lojack technician to remove the alarm and for barron kia to fix and run test on the airbag. The car was there 11 days and supposedly checked for all airbag possible problems.all test came back normal. On january 19, 2004 the airbag light went back on.the car was once again taken to barron kia on that day. At this point, the alarm is disconnect and the air bag continues to illuminate and indicating that there may be a malfunction with the safety system with the car.the vehicle is still at barron kia (has been their 7 days now) and is awaiting the installation of another airbag module. I have been in contacted with the kia hotline several times as well as lojack customer service. Neither company wants to take responsibility or accountability. It is distressing to me that such companies would jeopardizes the lives of their customers.i am also disturbed that a new car would be sold and returned to me several times with a defective safety system.*la

It was raining outside and i was driving at normal speed when two cars in front of me the man started to go through a yellow light and instead immediately stopped. I could not hit my brakes hard enough to prevent hitting the caravan in front of me and the impact was hard enough that it should have deployed my front air bags, which it did not.in addition, i had my seat belt on and it loosened and my head hit the roof of the car causing my head to have a cut and start bleeding and my left side after going to the er and having x-rays, was found to have severe tissue bruising from the impact from the seat belt and my air bags not deploying.i need a front end cap to get my car fixed and being on disability with two children, am on a fixed income and i feel that pontiac should have to pay for my parts and labor so i can continue to drive my vehicle.
Bought car, dad used car ,beeped horn,. Now this is the problem the horn stayed on until it was disconnected at the horn.a little bit later disconnected the relay. So the airbag is intergrated with the horn an that would cause a failure to the airbag to properly function, which will cause injury like it has.it was replaced with a new in box part and guess what it has happened again. I had my saturn vue service, notice the air bag light coming on and off, i took the car to the dealership and they charge me $85 to test it. They found a defect which will cause the air bag failure to deploy in case of a collision. Saturn refuses to fix the defect. Air bag deployment should never fail. I am afraid to drive my car now and i really don't have ove $1k to fix it. It seems to me that every time i take my car in to the dealership, something else goes wrong at this moment they are fixing the transmission, due to defects in the transmissions used for the vue.
I was driving out of a toll booth and was accelerating.a tractor trailer began coming closer to me.i moved over to avoid impact with the truck.in the process my front and rear drivers side wheels rubbed against a curb causing the side airbags to deploy.there was no damage to the vehicle other than a two inch scrape on the rims.the employees in the body shop and service department stated that the airbags should not have deployed due to the wheels rubbing curb.the woman at volvo stated that the car "detected imminent damage" which caused the airbags to deploy.i was decelerating at the time of the deployment, had i been accelerating to pass the truck i would have been killed.the investigator from volvo stated that they moved the sensors to the wheel wells and the are more sensitive.i think this is a serious safety concern as the vehicle, upon detecting imminent danger almost killed me.
My husband was in an accident where he was hit by another vehicle. The drivers side, and the steering wheel airbags deployed airbags deployed. My husband suffered numerous internal bruising , a fracture in his back and a dics that bulges in his back, he was the driver of the vehicle and all these injuries are mainly on his left side of his body where the drivers side air bag deployed. He was told from doctors that he is lucky to be alive, but his injuries could take in excess of a year to heal.he was hit in the front of the vehicle and the vehicle has been totaled due to the damage.he said that when they air bags deployed it took away his breath because the force that the air bags deployed was extreme.

There is a recall on my car for the ocs , occupant classification system . Its what tells the car to turn on the passenger side airbag when an adult is in the seat. I took my car into the dealer for repairs like the letter stated and was turned away saying it works fine, even though i had an adult in the seat and the system said the air bag was turned off . After a few calls to hyundai motor america, the dealer decided to send the passenger seat in for testing . I received my car back from the shop on 10-27-08. The following day my 19 year old was in the seat and the light was illuminated saying "passenger air bag off" i called hyundai motor america and was told they would rectify the situation. Today is 11-17-08 and i have yet to receive a phone call regarding this matter. The dealership is refusing to help me , stating that " we fixed it once and its not our problem anymore" i am at my wits end as to what to do now . No one seems to want to fix the issue. They simply tell me to deal with it .

The accident left my mother in a deep fright and withinjuries on her face, as she hit the steering wheel. She is prescribed to go to therapy for over a month to overcome the catastrophe. I, now, suffer from minor back problems caused due to the accident. The accident occurred on one of the most eventful highways of georgia, highway us 78. Our car, traveling on the middle lane, was hit by an isuzu suv rodeo, and after rotating about 180 degrees stopped on the middle of the highway. The entire front bumper fell apart, and the car was beyond recognition from the front. Yesterday, we heard from the repair shop and their assessment was that car is totaled. Most shocking part of the event is that the air bags didnt activate even after such a strong impact of suv coming at around 65 miles an hour speed and hit our toyota corolla (2002) from front. Whereas, the air-bags of the rodeo did not fail to inflate. I was traveling north on highway 47 following a van and some other vehicles when all of a sudden everyone locked up and by the time i saw the vehicle in front of me hit the brakes i slammed on my brakes and slid into him damaging his rear panel doors and the front end of my truck. No airbag deployed either on the driver or passenger side of the truck that i was driving. It was raining at the time and the roads were saturated so stopping abruptly was out of the question still i tried, no one was injured in the crash however the very next day i experienced this very severe nose bleed that lasted about 15-20 non stop when it finally slowed to a trickle i went to the nearby hospital emergency room. We were traveling about 40-45 mph when the crash occurred and i'm curious as to why the bags didn't deploy.
My vehicle a ford focus 2009 because of poor visibility went off the road traveling north on hwy 76 (san diego county, palomar mt. Area). The car went off the road at the end of hwy 76 at hwy 79 in the mt. Palomar area near lake henshaw. The air bags failed to deploy despite the front end of the car being severely damaged.

This is very weird and the mechanics do not understand this complaint. The abs light has been coming on for a while and no one knows why either, but i do not see any recalls on this problem either. I have replaced the door locks on each door at least twice in this van and it has cost alot of money, i think by now this should have been recalled on this vehicle as well. I was involved in a car accident 02/28/2018 takata recall air bags. I sustained multiple injuries where my airbags did not deploy 75mph head frontal. I have tried multiple time to get help from legal atty. And no one will help me. Instead i set here day by day cannot even out on my own shoes let alone tie them. Why cant an atty call and help me. My complaint is in regards to my employer. I am a police officer and i think the vehicles we are using are being made unsafe by the addition of extra equipment. The dept. Has added computers, shotguns that are mounted overhead and causing officers to hit there heads, not to mention what might happen if one is involved in an accident. They have also shut off are air bags, because the computers are side mounted and are not air bag compatable. They have also installed video cameras and radar units that hang from rearview mirrors. These mounts are not secure and often fall off. I have complained to my bosses and union reps. No one cares, in fact i was told "the dept. Does not taylor make police cars." several officers have already hurt themselves on these extras. I just want a safe vehicle.i do not no who else to turn to. I have also lodged a complaint with osha. I stopped the car, placed it in park, turned off the engine & yelled at my children to jump out of the car. A gentleman, driving behind me stopped, looked at the car & called 911. He then proceeded to start the car back up & drive it to the side of the road.after the police came, checked the road & filled out the report, i then turned the car around & drove it back to my girlfriend's house & parked it.the next day, i drove it to my aunt's house & parked it in her driveway until monday when it was towed to the dealership ( where it is still located ) there was no car in front of me when this incident happened, & there is no damage to the body of the car. *nlm
This problem has happened several times during my ownership of the 2006 camery le 4 cylinder auto that i own. This complaint relates to the airbag warning system that illuminates after the driver's seat ;positioning has been changed. The red warning appears, and according to toyota's owner manuel its reccomends that car be brought to a dealer to trouble shoot the problem. If not done promptly could result in a serious safety issue. After changing the seat height and angle, and going under drivers seat tosee loose connections,or unplugged connections the red airbag warning light went out..this took about 15 minutes of investigation.i wonder if there is serious malfunction or if the coonections are just loose because of changing the seat angle and height. The operation of the drivers seat is not manual but controlled by an electric operation
My complaint concern our vw beetle airbagcrash sensor back in january 2008i received a email from safety engineer steve chan regarding a investigation which several similar complaints had been filed with the national highway traffic safety admin regarding the same matter. There was a recall on these sensors. We did have our replace on our 2003 vw beetle which we got reimburstment. However now, again the same (front) crash airbag sensor have went out (fail) again. I was driving this car on the 401 east highway, ontario, canada on 16th december 2007 at 2.35 p.m. My wife and my little one and a half year daughter were also accompanying me. I was lucky enough that i was driving in the right lane and managed to bring my car out of the driving lane. 3rd time crank shaft sensor went in 1 year/5 months. Car only has 60,000 miles. All 3 times, car would not accelerate, check engine light then appears and seconds later the car shuts off. Twice we were on the highway when this happened and lucky we had enough time to get over to the breakdown lane before the car shut down. 3 times in a year and 5 months, this should not happen... Also, the air bag light has been coming on for the last year.

I have a 2003 toyota corolla which has been recalled for air bag problems.on march 3, 2015 i took the car to berlin city toyota dealer for repair.they advised they did not have the parts in for this work, but would possibly have it within a week or two and would call me. I have called them a few times to be told the same thing over and over.at this point they do not return my call.they advised i should not drive the car until it was fixed and if i did not to have anyone sit in the passenger seat.i is now over two months.obviously i have had to drive.i do not feel safe and would like to have this problem solved.can you please help with this?thank you

The 2005 hyundai sonata gls has several problems that should be under warranty and recalled, close to the 2006 recalls.we own a company and have purchased over 12 to 14 hyundais. We have found that the sonata gls 2005 has problems with the airbag deployment, seatbelt restraint, the front tires are closer to the back & not centered on the wheel well (has been this way since purchased, but they do not correct.), have electrical problems & that unibody type frame & so on.in an accident where a truck left the tail gate down & a ladder hit the windshield, the car was then parked, turned off , the keys taking out of the ignition & then began looking for the cell phone then proceeded to open the door to get out infer all that the driver's side airbag deployed which also caused the front driver's seat belt to lock up & can not be pulled out to wear. Hyundai states that this is not warranted even though it was deployed after the accident occured. Hyundai had a great warranty 10 years ago. They do not stand up to their warranty as before & i have found that some of the warranty has changed. I have switched to toyota. Hyundai has done nothing so far to correct.

In november 2002, i discovered a problem with my automatic transmission in my 2001 honda accord. Subsequent to this date ihad three transmission replacements, all unsuccessful. Two of my transmissions did not last longer than a week before they were diagnosed with transmission failure. Honda is unwilling to deal with this problem and has been difficult to reach. The service staff continually tries to tell me that the problem is "in my head", yet they continue to replace my transmission unit on each visit. If you have a problem with your 2001/2002 model please file a complaint with the bbb auto line, the bureau of automotive repair, or the new motor vehicle board, this is the only way that honda will become responsive to this problem. Although they extended the warranty on all transmission to 100,000 miles, this only covers 100,000 miles on the odometer not on the life of the new transmission. How can i make honda accountable for my unsafe vehicle? they are not responsive in any way!

Transmission failed and i had to spend 2k fixing it3. Egr clogged and check engine light is on. Dealer not fixing it saying it has been done before.

The 2005 hyundai sonata gls has several problems that should be under warranty and recalled, close to the 2006 recalls.we own a company and have purchased over 12 to 14 hyundais. We have found that the sonata gls 2005 has problems with the airbag deployment, seatbelt restraint, the front tires are closer to the back & not centered on the wheel well (has been this way since purchased, but they do not correct.), have electrical problems & that unibody type frame & so on.in an accident where a truck left the tail gate down & a ladder hit the windshield, the car was then parked, turned off , the keys taking out of the ignition & then began looking for the cell phone then proceeded to open the door to get out infer all that the driver's side airbag deployed which also caused the front driver's seat belt to lock up & can not be pulled out to wear. Hyundai states that this is not warranted even though it was deployed after the accident occured. Hyundai had a great warranty 10 years ago. They do not stand up to their warranty as before & i have found that some of the warranty has changed. I have switched to toyota. Hyundai has done nothing so far to correct.
2003 pontiac vibe was hit head on by another vehicle and then hit the side guard rail and another car.no air bags (front and sides) deployed, and one back seat passenger's seat belt failed.there were five people in the complainant vehicle were injured.
I bought a new vw golf in february 2004.at about 6:30 p.m. On 4/1, i drove over a pothole (or some bump in the road) while driving on storrow drive in boston and suddenly two airbags deployed on the driver side of my car and my seat belt appeared to recoil.the two airbags that deployed were the side airbag and the curtain airbag.i brought my car into a boston dealer/service department the following morning.after inspecting the car, the service department said there was no physical damage to the car (except of course the deployed airbags and broken seat belt), but that there was "crash data" on the car's computer.the service department went on to say that this is not a warranty situation because the car detected a crash (despite the fact that there was admittedly no damage to the car), causing the airbags to deploy.
On october 31,2008 i was in an automobile accident where i was going approximately 30 mph when i hit someone straight on from behind. My airbag did not deploy, nor did my seat belt lock up. I was taken to the hospital where i was told i had a minor concussion, and neck and shoulder sprain. My head hit the steering wheel twice.
It was raining outside and i was driving at normal speed when two cars in front of me the man started to go through a yellow light and instead immediately stopped. I could not hit my brakes hard enough to prevent hitting the caravan in front of me and the impact was hard enough that it should have deployed my front air bags, which it did not.in addition, i had my seat belt on and it loosened and my head hit the roof of the car causing my head to have a cut and start bleeding and my left side after going to the er and having x-rays, was found to have severe tissue bruising from the impact from the seat belt and my air bags not deploying.i need a front end cap to get my car fixed and being on disability with two children, am on a fixed income and i feel that pontiac should have to pay for my parts and labor so i can continue to drive my vehicle.
I was driving to work on rt 8 in butler, pa. A deer ran into my car, hitting the front end. I was going about 50 mph. I slammed on the brakes and got out to look at my car. The front bumper was completely smashed, along with the bumper being folded, ac condenser broke, grille broke,radiator broke. I got back in my car and noticed the air bag symbol was on but by air bags didn't deploy. I wasn't wearing a seat belt and i was the only one in the car. My seat belts locked up for some reason and the air bags didn't go off. I called the chevy company and asked them why, and they told me that you need to hit the car in a certain spot on the car, but a mechanic told me usually if the rebar is cracked the air bags go off. They said there is nothing they can do about it. I paid the car off and i didn't have full coverage. So my car is practically garbage. I think they should at least fix the air bag problem and the seat belts.
I rear ended a pickup truck and my air bags did not deploy nor did my seatbelt re track causing head injury by hitting the windshield and jaw injury by hitting the steering wheel.
1.the front engine cover gasket on my 1997 ford f-150 was defective.there was a recall at one time on this problem but was checked by a ford dealer and nothing was found to be wrong.approximately 6 months later it had to be replaced.because the recall had expiredford would not replace it for free and so i had to have it replaced at my cost of $600.00.2.air bags and seat belt restraints.my wife had a wreck in the same vehicle and the air bags did not deploy or did the seat belts lock up like they are supposed to.i tried to get ford to explain to me why that would happen and they said the insurance company would have to handle it.the problem was still not solved.also the abs did not work. *nlm
On 4/19/05 i was in an accident with my 97 geo prism.the vehicle air bags failed to deploy and the seat belts failed to operate correctly causing me to hit the steering wheel and dash causing severe injury to myself and minor passengers in the vehicle.i originally filed complaint through my attorney kenneth miller, jr. Baton rouge, la.i want to settle this case asap.
I am so disgusted. I will never buy another chrysler vehicle, nor will i encourage anyone else to do so. I purchased a 1998 chrysler sebring lxi on 6/29/2000. Since that time i have had the following problems:key won't work in trunk all the time. Lack of air bag deployment - 2 different incidents (reported in a previous complaint)passenger side seat belt will open if you just push against it - i have taken the vehicle to the certified service agent (over a year ago) who was supposed to order the part and contact me when it arrived. He never did and now that dealership is not the service agent anymore.driver's side seatbelt twists inside the covered area attached to the interior wall of the vehicle.high-pitched whining sound coming from front driver's side tire area. Have replaced rotors twice.have had to purchase those expensive ($600 - $800) goodyear tires about 4 - 6 times.one day, about 18 months ago, i was on the highway driving to work, going uphill and my car just slowly died. All the lights went out, i could not give it any gas, i could barely steer it and it just rolled to a stop. I kept trying to crank it and nothing happened. I was still partly in the road, so i put it in neutral and tried to back it onto the shoulder. After doing that, i tried to crank it again and it started right up. I drove it to a garage nearby, but they could find nothing wrong.hesitation when going from park to drive.more complaints are being submitted in a subsequent form.
I was in a accident . My car was cut off clipped and i proceeded to hit a wall. My sealt belts did not lock up and my passenger who had her seat belt on hit the windshield, i procedeed to smash my face into the stearing wheel. After the car came to a stop and we regained concious our air bags then went off. After the accident was done.

Vehicle was completely stopped when rear-ended by chevy suburban traveling approx. 50 mph. Car was thrust forward over 50 and struck rear-end of pickup truck. Driver side seat broke on impact-caused seat to slide completely forward. No air bag deployment. Driver was restrained in seat belt, but still hit head on windshield resulting in brain injury.
Summary: on certain vehicles, the seat position sensor (sps) detects the driver's seating position and adjusts the air bag inflation pressure accordingly. The wiring harness for the sps was attached to the seat frame in the wrong location and may have been over tightened. The sensor wire may break and cause the air bag warning light to be illuminated, and the sps to fail.
Purchased 2003 gmc envoy slt on 11/30/2002.service airbag light came on as i was driving the vehicle off the lot.returned to dealer for repair.dealer said it was a loose wire in the sensor.one month later service airbag light came on again.returned it to dealer, could not determine problem so they replaced the passenger side airbag.service air bag lightis on again.this is the third time.also have had intermittent problems with the brakes.when approaching a stop light have had instances where the car will not stop, and the brake pedal is to the floor this has happened 3 times.took it into the dealer and was told this is the way the brakes function on this vehicle????? have had intermittent problems with the 4 wheel drive.the lights on the 4 wheel drive indicator will flash from 2hi all the way to 4 whl drive without every touching the control.extremely disappointed in this vehicle for the cost and unfortunately have a 4 year lease.will not recommend or purchase another gmc product.
My son was killed in his 2006 ford 150 pickup truck driving 45 miles an hour. His truck apparently left the road with no signs of brakes being applied, flipped several times. The airbags never deployed. His insurance company was threatening me to release the truck from storage which i did. I have since regained my senses enough to search the web and see that there were many recalls on the brake lines of this make truck.

My airbag light keeps coming on whether someone is in the passenger seat or not and the air bag indicator for the driver side the chime malfunctioned and stays onfor 10 minutes and then goes off.heat comes through the vents while driving and the left driver side shakes and vibrates while driving. They stated it was the steering and then later stated on 05.07.08 it was the brakes and rotors. The gm dealer states that it is the rotors which was replaced less than 2 months ago.
I have a dodge ram 1500 wagon 1998, and i have been experiencing alot of problems with the transmission and keeps stalling whenever i turn the wheel to the right side. This is very weird and the mechanics do not understand this complaint. The abs light has been coming on for a while and no one knows why either, but i do not see any recalls on this problem either. Can you help me resolve this matter. I have replaced the door locks on each door at least twice in this van and it has cost alot of money, i think by now this should have been recalled on this vehicle as well. Please help me with this vehicle, i love riding it but it has been having alot of the same riding and maitenance problems and no one knows why or understands why it keeps coming back after fixing them multiple times. I was making a routine turn and lost control of steering. It only happened the one time, police report said car rolled two or three times, total loss to car and injury to driver. I don't remember exactly the cause other than i lost control. Can't say any of the recalls did or did not cause the accident. My primary complaint is that i paid for front and side airbags, and none deployed on a car that rolled two or three times. Why am i paying for equipment that is not effective? if a car rolls over at minimum the side airbags should have deployed. I would also think this would trigger the other air bags. With all the recalls how would we know if any of these contributed to the crash? i understand the rollover rating applies to the stability of the car, but rating the safety in a rollover accident should also be rated. Why don't air bags deploy automatically when car hits sides or the roof? we paid for safety and reliability of the toyota, but it appears that the extra money is wasted.

My son was driving his 07 scion tc, exiting an interstate he lost traction in the gore area, overcorrected and impacted head first into guardrail then spun left impacting the same guardrail.three had seatbelts on, one in rear did not and was ejected from vehicle.

Windshield wipers do not work on rainy days making it difficult to see out the windshield.a lady hit my car on the right sidecollapsing that side along the doors and some of the rear and the air bag did not deploy. I put my feet on accelerator for speed and the car refuses to respond. The more i accelerate the slower the car goes. *nlm
At first the windshield wipers would intermittently turn on, then the horn would not work and then the airbag light came on and would only turn off with the key in the off position. Vehicle was taken to the dealership and was told it was the clockspring which is not covered under the bumper to bumper warranty......odom reading approx 32,000.
