I have a 2007 explorer sport trac xltinto of server for fallin the brakes,the bob of engineer stated what was the most common fault in this vehicle,today have 40 days and the pcm in the vehicle cant be repaired by the shop.description of the problem: when trying to step on the brakes, the vehicle tends to slip this can possibly cause an accident when i spoke with other ford owners.
My front brakes on my 2001 odyssey were replaced two years ago. This included rotors, pads (front/back) and the drums were turned in rear. They have never been the same. The rear brakes emit a very obnoxious noise. These brakes have always been "grabby" since this van was new especially when going down hills. Recently i was inolved in an accident, the van pulls to the right and i hit two parked cars and was unable to stop vehicle until turning off ignition and throwing the car into park. The brakes did not respond at all. One car i hit is totaled, my van is boarderline totaled., one car i hit was totaled and the third i am not sure yet. I had taken my car back at least10 times over the past two years to have the brakes dealt with without complete success.
Replacement dealing with steering problems since 2006, brakes, panoramic roof leaking and constant rattling,molding came off passenger door, ignition constantly turning over sometime starting and sometimes not, car constantly out of lining, trunk sometimes open and sometimes do not, and speedometer not registering.
When i first bought the car i had problems with connections under the hood which lead to steering problems and the line. Brakes failed me on march 22, 2010 had a bad car accident because my brakes nor my emergency brakes didn't work, both failed me.
