First, the battery dies if the radio is turned on for more than 10 minutes with the engine off. The car needed a jump-start. This happened three different times. Second, there is a delay when trying to start the car. The dealer replaced the battery stating "the battery was defective." less than a year later, same thing starts again. So i take it to the dealer for an inspection again. Ironically, this time the battery actuallydied at the dealership. After a few hours, the dealer states that the battery is "defective" again!! and now they're trying to make me pay for the old defective battery that they replaced. My 2007 yukon denali xl was purchased brand new and went through three new batteries. The vehicle only has 30,000 miles on it. What will happen if my wife and three kids are stranded again??? this is not a battery problem. It is an electrical problem gm is trying desperately to cover up. Please help. Getting very aggravated and frustrated with this issue. It may not seem like a life-threatening issue but this problem does have the potential to become one.
The contact owns a 1966 chevrolet impala . He purchased an everstart model # 24ms-6 battery . Several days later after turning on the vehicle,he heard a sizzling sound.hepulled over and then opened the hood, and the battery exploded in his face. There were no major injuries. The store that sold him the battery was walmart. A representativestated that they needed to bring the battery to the store.the failure and current mileages were 85000. The vehicle identification number was unavailable.
I have a 2001 chevrolet 2500hd 8.1l with 120k miles. Truck runs great but my engine will just shut off. While driving at any speed the engine will shut off then kick on again all by itself. When stopped at a light it will shut off and will not come back on unless i turn the key to start it again. Engine is the only thing that dies, stereo, headlights, etc all remain on and i don't get any service lights or messages on the dash when it happens. Sometimes if it feels as if it is going to die on me i can step on the gas pedal to prevent it from dying.
