I was driving at a speed of 70 mph on the interstate when the car lost all electrical power.the loss of power lasted only a few seconds and then powered back up.the engine also stopped during this time.it was extremely alarming and could have resulted in a serious accident.i took the car to the dealer and they said that they have had other owners with this problem.i am unsure what they did to correct the issue.
The contact purchased an infinity battery on april 13, 2007, and did not have the model name. On april 16, 2007 the whiledriving and the vehicle shut off.the police officer looked under the hood and told her that the dealer did not install the correct battery terminals ,and they were also the wrong size.the vehicle was towed to the dealer, and the terminals were changed and properly installed.the contact stated that when the vehicle shut off the driver'sside window rolled down and became stuck in the down position. The dealer refused to take responsibility for the window, andwas charging $500 for its repair.
About a month after i purchased my new town & country limited.a fuse has been blown for about 20 times. From what i can see some system stop working or malfunction including radio/cd electric doors a/c electric lock. It is possible that there are more malfunction system that i can't detect.

This relates to a manufacturing defect delivered by ktm sportmotorcycles na. On product line for model years 2006 and 2007, including my vehicle 06 450 exc, the 1/4-turn gas caps have hazardous and potentially life-threatening faults. To date ktm has failed to properly address it.detail of the cap problems:- the cap has 3 locking tabs that mate with the tank. The original cap's neck was too long, preventing a tight seal and leaked badly- ktm issued new caps with shorter necks, tightening the seal and temporarily fixed the leaking.- the new caps leaked within days or weeks of installation. It was discovered that the caps became grossly distorted over time, like due to increased pressure on the caps, interaction between the cap material and the fuel, and poor design. The newer caps leak as badly as the originals when distorted. - the cap vent tubes pop out resulting in fuel leaking out from that area.- caps have popped off in crashes, resulting in riders being soaked in fuel. The badly distorted caps will never provide a secure connection to the tank. After 2 long years ktm finally released a '''''permanent''''' fix, which is merely another x-ring. It is not a fix at all. Many riders have installed this new x-ring and still leak. In no way does it addresses the cap warping and pop-offs or the vent-hose pop offs, all which are potentiall life-threatening. It is interesting to note that ktm official races teams for off-road, motocross, and supermoto, both on the national and world championship circuits, do not run these 1/4-turn gas caps! finally, ktm appears to be done with this problem. Someone is eventually going to get burned or die. Hopefully the nhtsa will take action and force the issue. I have much more detail available if needed.
The headlight housing that separates the low beam from the high beam is currently cracked, have seen 20 other cars with the same problem on the 03-05 coupe's it is a quality problem and needs to be resolved by dealer weather within or out of the warranty, nothing has been done to fix this matter the dealerships that i have went to and i even called the corporate of infiniti on this matter and they do not want to fess up on their poor quality headlights. I would like to see all of our lights get replaced with the new projector lights since they are obviously a better quality then the non projector lights that the 03-05 coupes came with.
For all those reporting the swaying associated with the 1996 nissan pathfinder, i have a nissan terrano which looks very much like the pathfinder. I experienced similar swaying from the rear of my vehicle at speeds of about 40 mph. I have tried every mechanic i know, changed my shocks, and you name it...lately, i would hear a thump in the rear when i pulled off from stop position. The thump also happens when i run over a short speed bump. When i came home one evening, i went under the vehicle to conduct a visual inspection to see if i will find anything. Lo and behold, i found out that the bushings of the lower control arms are worn out to the extent that they are breaking up(the bushings) which allows metal to rub or hit another metal and that explains the thump that i will usually hear. In my opinion the worn out bushings also explain the swaying that seems to come from the rear because just figure it out, the bushings of the arms that link the rear axle to the body of the vehicle are weak, but this will not cause swaying at low speeds, and even if it did it will be un-noticeable. This swaying at high speeds is difficult to tell sometimes if it is coming from the rear or front. My advise is to change especially the bushings of the rear lower control arms, there should be four of them, two long ones and two short ones. It makes sense to me after all the vehicle is 10 years old! also make sure that none of those control arms are bent. Feel free to send me a quick email.

Ford heaterautomobile: ford taurus, 2002, mileage: 54,700subject: design defect, heater motor installationbackground: air intake for the heater and air conditioning system is located between the hood and the front windshield.rain flows into this area and passes into the heater ducting.some of this water flows into the plastic housing for the blower motor causing early failure.potential hazard: early failure of the motor may result in the inability of the vehicle heating system to remove condensation from the interior of the windshield.in addition, the failure of the heating system during cold weather would not melt snow and ice that may accumulate on the windshield.problem: the blower motor is located under the right hand dashboard housed in a molded plastic assembly.this location is one of the lowest points in the heating system therefore water accumulates in the motor housing plastic assembly submerging the rear one-third of the motor in water.this results in early failure of the motor due to water contamination, as there is not a provision to drain water from the plastic housing.comments: this is a known engineering defect as ford sealed the housing with a rubberized compound to prevent water from the heating system flowing onto the floor.corrective action: mandate ford motor company to recall the 2002 ford taurus and other years and models with a similar system to install a drain in the heater motor plastic housing in order to drain the water from the assembly.i have retained the failed blower motor and plastic assembly for your review, if required, in order to observe the results of this defective design.note: i could not delete an error in equipment on the next window as this heater motor was installed as original equipment on the ford.please disregard the equipment window.updated 01/07/08.*lj

Dt*: the contact stated while traveling 45 mph, smoke was seen blowing out from the right side wheel area of the trailer.when pulled off the highway, the outside tire had deflated as a result of damage to the suspension caused by the frame failure.the road conditions were clear and dry. The trailer was towed to a service dealer where a technician from the frame manufacturer attempted to repair the frame.the welds failed to hold and the frame manufacturer was going to reattempt to weld the frame again.the tie bar cross member was missing from the suspension between the wheels.the trailer model was landmark coach.the manufacturer was heartland recreational.the suspension manufacturer was moryde intl and the frame manufacturer was lippert.
