I purchased a 2008 dodge caravan about 2 years ago from elite motors in victorville. The car was not smoked at the time of purchase and had to be done so about 1 month later. They said they had a hard time getting it to pass and then it passed but when i got it back i smogged it and it failed. Elite motos said they would work with me on resolving things but they never did. Since i've had the vehicle there has been a loud slapping noise coming from the air conditioner, the fuel pump has been replaced, two tires have blown, several sets of front break pads have been replaced, 2 battery's have been replaced, and within the last month both front and rear brakes/master brake cylinder/calipers/water pump/radiator has been replaced. My car is again in the shop because my engine light and air bag lights have come on, there are no brake lights, and my car was hesitating and loosing power intermittently with a clunking coming from the engine. My mechanic tells me that i will need a new engine. Also, the vehicle was involved in an accident a few months ago. I had asked geiko if when they did the body work- would they also look for things mechanically wrong just to make sure everything was o.k. They said they would, the shop (performance in victorville said they would and gave me a business card of the guy they refer things out to but they never did? point of impact is listed at 6. Rear.
I own a 2004 mitsubishi galant that first had a recall on the emissions parts a few years ago. I recently have had the check engine light come back on and was told that the problem that i corrected due to the letter that i received was actually what is wrong with the car. I need a new catalytic converter or new s-2 sensor. I can' t afford either due to my mother passing away recently and the costs that incurred, and since it was recalled and the dealership looked at it and do the preventive maintenance, i am frustrated that this is an issue at this point. I just received another letter recalling something with the ignition. I love my car but i want it to work properly. I pay for it to work properly. I take of it to have it work properly but if it was not built properly then how can i feel safe? how can i drive my family around and feel safe. I need help with getting this resolved. The emissions recall was so long ago and i don't have any documents because i didn't think i needed it. I tried to look it up on the internet but it was not there. I purchased my car at mitsubishi on mdlothina turnpike in chesterfield virginia. I would appreciate any concern given to my matter. Sincerely, dannielle thompson

Dual side heating and air is not working properly on my 2001 jeep grand cherokee.passenger side is ice cold constantly, while my driver's side is working properly for now, but for how much longer?after a lot of reading of other articles, there should most absolutely be a recall, especially if i have to pay that kind of money to get it fixed, then i should be reimbursed.

I smelled a strong gas odor and the minutes later half of my gas was leaking out onto the parking lot with gas so high it is expensive took it to the dealership said i had a crack in my filler neck of the fuel tank and that it would be $1150 to get it fixed.
Purchased moto-metal 909 rims around feb-march of 2009. Last week i was on my way to work when i heard a grinding noise under the front driver-side and started to pull over to the side of the road. While pulling over the truck dropped ~6" and i see my driver side wheel go flying down the road, i continued to the side of the road despite the terrible grinding noise to avoid causing any traffic issues.updated 02/18/11fortunately, this incident occurred on a surface street and not the highway, who knows what kind of damage may have taken place. Also lucky that the wheel that broke off didn't hit any on-coming traffic. Updated 03/29/11 i have pics posted on my website: http://meliketrucks.com/2010/12/rim-and-tire-fly-off-axle/. 1.i purchased my jeep liberty crd new in sep 2006. I noticed coming home from work today that it sounded like the rear window driver side was slightly open so i tried to close it and heard a grating noise so i stopped pushing the button. Drove home. Got out and looked. Saw it was down about an inch. Tried to raise it. Same noise. Used my hands and pushed it up. Knew something was wrong. Got the husband. He pulled off the panel... We saw the orange regulator cord was not attached. Then discovered it was not screwed in to the motor on the other end. Broken plastic. Odometer reading 36150. Priceless. 2.this is the first i have had the problem.i live in colorado and no one even sits in the rear seat.yes it gets hot.but i had a 1994 ford explore with over 200k that i signed over to my daughter when she graduated and the windows never died....3.appears since it is out of warranty at 36150 i will need to contact the dealer and pay $375 to replace the regulator that is well documented as nonfunctional.

I feel that the wearing of a motorcycle helmet should be up to the rider, after they are 18 years old.
Complaint numberdescription of the complaint: i own a 1998 oldsmobile bravada. After purchasing the vehicle in february 20008, a year and 3 months later my husband reported a whistling in the front right wheel.now when i was driving it i heard a whistling in the left back wheel. The vehicle was driven to the mechanic and stated that the wheel bearing assembly was coming looseand needed to be replaced. There is also a general recall on this car for suspension and lower ball joints and the control arm. Between this mechanical problem and this safety recall (although my vin# was not in it.i was told by my local mechanic that this car should not be driven on the highway because the wheel could come loose and cause a crash.this is a safety issue.i just took the car today to gmc dealer in hazlet.they are going to do a diagnostic test costing me 48 - 90 dollars which i do not believe i should have to pay because this is a complete safety issue complaint and all 1998 oldmobile bravada's should be recalled to check but of these items out.
Mandatory helmet laws are not the answer to injuries or fatalities in motorcycle accidents.there are numerous studies that point out specifically just how dangerous helmets can be.i will provide a link, here, demonstrating just that:http://www.usff.com/hldl/helmethoax.htmlhelmets restrict peripheral vision, as well as hearing.when i wear a helmet, i am constantly looking over both shoulders to keep an eye on the traffic around me because i cannot hear the cars around me; every second spent looking over my shoulders is a second spent not looking at the road in front of me.helmets that pass government safety standards are heavy, not only contributing to wearing out the neck and allowing the head to droop while riding, but also to interfering with the evolved process that our body needs in order to maintain balance, sense, and alertness.and finally, every freedom and choice taken away from us sets a dangerous precedent that will make it easier for more freedomsand choices to be taken away from the commonwealth that the government is supposed to be serving, not using.stop the lunacy of mandatory helmet laws."let those who ride decide."
I bought a new chevy silverado 1500 4x4 in july of 2001. I don't drive it that much, and when i do, it is mostly freeway miles. About 5 times/year i'll tow a light boat to puget sound, and after coming back always hose off the boat, trailer, and salt water exposed area of the truck. In 2004 at 6770 miles, the rear rotors, calipers and pads were ruined (under warranty--cause determined to be debris caught up in mechanism). Good chevrolet fixed perfectly. Now in march 2008 at only 18,700 miles (12k miles on new brakes), the rear brakes need to be completely rebuilt. Good is saying the cause is salt water. And of course the warranty is long over----looking at $2000 to fix. I say hogwash! brakes should not fall apart after 12,000 gentle miles. I don't four wheel drive except on rare occasion to get over the mountain pass---and that's on snow. I am easy with this truck. I don't speed around and slam on the brakes ever. Never. I am pretty sure this is a common problem. Just googled up a similar case of a 2002 silverado in colorado with 28,000 miles and complete brake failure due to rust. I'll repair brakes elsewhere. I'll wait and see if some class action lawsuit comes of this. It's too bad. The truck is pretty nice, but having brakes fall apart for no good reason is bs and too expensive, not to mention as well as a big safety concern.
