Dt:cosco touriva model # 22-130 wal. The contact stated the left side of the bar on the child seat came off.the harness bar assembly came apart.the manufacturer told the contactthatthey knew what the problem was, and they would send her the replacement part.also, theysaid it was safe to use it.

The whole harness fell apart, the springs broke on the side , and the handle on both sides broke. The owner bought the seat in the fall for her child.ownercontacted the manufacturer, andtheywould send her a replacement part so she could repair the seat herself.the owner decided that she will not use the seat anymore.
The contact owns a cosco touriva 22-130-wal (na) child seat.the contact stated that the spring on the arm that comes down over the child detached and is no longer usable.she called the cosco manufacturer and they would not allow her to purchase any type of kit or parts to repair the seat.cosco informed her that they would not replace the seat and she must purchase a new one.

Dt: cosco touriva model # 22-130-wal, dom 09/29/2004.car seat had a failure.car seat had a failure. The plastic piece that is attached to the harness fellapart on the left side. The right side is still intact.the consumerhad the child in the seat went down the street and noticed that the piece broke.this was a toddler that was either forward or rear facing.the recommended weight was 5-35 pounds. The system used to secure the seat was the latch and the seat belt. The manufacturer has not been contacted.this failure occurred on 9-24-05.

Left hand side of over head shield, spring popped out and plastic part broke.we had the same thing happen to our previous touriva carseat same model, so we took it back to the store and received this one.then the same thing happened to this one.it also happened to the same model of carseat our parents have. I have tried to contact the manufacturer, but have had no response. Touriva model #22-130-wal. Luckily nobody was injured.
The right arm of the safety shield broke where it goes into the car seat. It broke when there was no child in the seat. I was driving to work when there was a loud noise and i looked back and the shield was hanging down on one side.i'm the original owner of the seat and it was manufactured 5/2/2003. It's only used for a child that i sometimes care for, so the seat is not used all the time.
Dt: 2 cosco touriva, model # f13595,dom3-22-2003 child seats.consumer was travelingwhen a spring came out of one seat and struck window. Spring came from a lift assist on the arms of seat thatwas attached to shield. This happened on july 23, 2005. Afterwards,consumer went to walmart andpurchased first two seats, and then another type of seat.spring cameout of the other . Consumer will not use either of the first two seats.she felt they were unsafe.
Shield bar snapped (broke) away from the rear side of the car seat, bending the spring and smacking my 2yr old causing her lip to bleed.thankfully we were not moving, i was just snapping her into the seat when the position bar broke from the spring area.
Dt:cosco touriva model # 22-130-wal, dom 09/20/2004.the child safety seat experienced a failure on the overhead shield on the left side metal attachment. The left side metal attachmentbroke without warning that helped hold the overhead shield.no repairs or corrections have been made.no injuries as a result.the child safety seat was replaced by the contact.the manufacturer was not contacted.
