I just bought the safety seat for my son when he is ready to come home from the hospital and the carrying arm will not work at all. It stays in the down position so i am unable to carry him and the seat like required.

A new team tex america car seat was given to a family through the emergency department as the family tried to put the seat in with the lower anchors it was discovered that a part of the lower anchor that secures it to the seat seemed to be melted. Upon further investigation it appears that the manufacturer used a heating process to connect the lower anchor and any small amount of pulling on this piece causes the heated area to separate from the connection on the seat itself. Team-tex nania basic orla 2002, model # 345148fi; the harness adjuster located in the front of the child restraint came out, which caused the harness straps not to adjust or attach to the seat at all.*nlm
