Retainer clip slides down to easy on the car seat. Baby was 6 months old and when called the company they said to tell child not to slide the clip. Harness was as tight as it would go. I could send a picture of how it was on the baby after riding in the car for 1/2 hour.

Recaro had issued a safety recall notice.when trying to contact them they refused to answer the automated telephone transfer and refused to answer my e-mail.what good is a recall if the manufacturer refuses to respond to the consumer?

Purchased the cr in december of 2008 and the sticker has come off in one whole piece.it is the sticker instructing how to route the seat belt for rear facing and forward facing use.no action has been taken to correct.

Recaro car seats with defective straps. Consumer states that the one side of the harness came loose from the back of the car seat and then repeated that same problem about 2 months after it was fixed.the consumer also stated the velvet material had gone bald on the shoulder pads. The consumer discovered a recall had been issued for the exact problem she had experienced with the harness.

When adjusting child restraint shoulder belts, the loops of the shoulder harness fell off the metal clip on the rear of the seat.this has happened on more than 5 occasions on both recaro como seats we purchased for our twins.corrective action has been to remove the child from the seat, remove the seat from the vehicle, remove the rear cover on the seat, reinsert the loops of the harness, and reverse the procedure; all of which taking about 5 minutes.since these occurrences, we have always given extra tugs on the restraints after buckling in the children to ensure the restraints are actually going to restrain the child.this appears to be a design flaw as the restraints easily fall out of the hook unless there is some tension on the shoulder restraints.como seat serial #6100000143, date 20070715 blush and serial #6200000005, date 20070716 cobalt.
