This pertains to the maxi cosi priori model # 22476-pht. The chest clip for the harness suddenly stopped securely clipping into place a few weeks ago under normal use. We have to try to bend the "locking" mechanism on it back in to place and try multiple times get it to clip when we were out and about so we stopped using the seat for now.
While conducting a child safety seat check a parent came in to have their dorel, maxi-cosi priore #22486 cri manufactured 9-10-2010 checked.upon inspection is was learned that the harness did not consistantly lock.it was possible to pull the harness completly out without pushing the release button.upon review of our recall list we discovered that there were previous recalls for this seat's 2009 model year.the recall identified a problem with the harness lock not always locking allowing the harness to fully loosen in the event of a crash.upon very close inspection of the seat there was no evidence of a foreign substance, strap or anything else interfering with the locking mechanism.the seat desription in the automated part of this web site is wrong.the actual seat was not a choice.the actual seat was maxi-cosi 22486 cri.
