I purchased the graco myride 65 car seat for my son just before his first birthday.for the first year of use, it has been an exceptional seat.he seems comfortable and it is fairly easy to install, uninstall, and clean.unfortunately, just before his second birthday, he began unbuckling the chest clip while i was driving. I do pull over to discipline him and buckle him back in, but two miles later he will be halfway across the backseat again.i have been in contact with graco customer service for a month.the first contact was made 8/28/13.i was notified that this was a common problem, the new clip was on backorder, and that they would ship it to me 2-day, fedex as soon as it became available.a week later i called back to find out that the safer clip was in stock but had not yet shipped and i should receive it within a week.a week after that, i called back again and was told the warehouse was still processing the order.i requested a phone call to notify me of shipment which i never received.at this time, i have been in contact with graco four separate times in a month and am no closer to solving a very big problem.my own internet research leads me to a number of complaints about this same matter, and yet the car seat is being sold by every retailer imaginable.every few miles i must pull over to buckle my child back in.this is inconvenient at best and tragic at worst.a thorough investigation should be conducted immediately!
