The contact owns an graco car seat, model name: extend2fit, model number: 1992118, manufactured date: 12/25/2020. The car seat was being used in a 2018 fiat 500x. The contact stated that upon following the instructions for the installation of the car seat, he noticed that the car seat would tip over. The contact stated that while the car seat was latched rear facing in the center of the vehicle, the car seat tipped over towards the passenger side of the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and informed the contact that it was normal for the car seat to do so.*dt
The contact owned a graco 4ever extend2fit child seat. The manufactured date was unknown. The safety seat was being utilized in a 2017 chevrolet traverse. The contact stated thatthe foam on the back of the child seat was fractured. The contact spoke with a manufacturer and was sent a new safety seat. The contact gave the child seat to her grandson who stated that, while cleaning the safety seat, the foam on the back of the seat was still fractured. The contact called the manufacturer again and was informed to send the replacement seat back to be disposed. The failure occurred outside of the vehicle. The child was not in the child seat at the time of the failures. The contact was not offered a replacement or any further assistance.
