My toddler is able to easily with one hand unbuckle the car seat. At the time i thought maybe my toddler was the only one but i have three other friends experiencing the same problem. Graco told us to just tell them not to unbuckle it or to have an adult sit back there with them. I believe that graco should start making buckles that aren't so easily undone by a small toddler.

A piece on our daughter?s car seat broke, and it is completely unusable now. The plastic housing that houses the little metal latch that you press to tighten and loosen the carseat straps; the entire housing completely broke off! so the straps cannot be tightened at all. The place where the screw that holds that piece on tightens into, is completely broken. We were tightening the straps in the normal manner by pulling the strap coming out of this latch, and the whole housing just popped off. *dt

The 3 year old child can reach the harness release button (while harnessed in tight) and loosen the straps by pulling the harness release button and learning forward. The child can reach the harness release button and pull the button any time she is in the car seat. The mom has worked very hard with her daugther to teach her not to touch the button. She attended a safe kids car seat check up event and brought this issue to our attention. The contact owns a graco child safety seat, model number 1937054, model name: contender convertible, manufactured date: 05/29/17. The contact stated that while the seat cover was being washed, the protective foam detached from the seat. The contact was unable to glue the foam back in place. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the foam piece was to be held in place by the seat cover. The contact was informed that the foam was only replaced if the foam was broken. The safety seat was not repaired or replaced. *ln*dt*dt

The seat secured fine rear facing but when we turned my child front facing the car seat moved and slides even when secured with extreme force. Seat belt locked and installed exactly how instructions say.
