While lifting the child safety seat by the handle from the sofa the handlefell apart, throwing the child face first back onto the sofa.the child safety seat showed no signs of failure before this incident.

Fd called to extract a toddlers finger that had become wedged in the metal ratchet of the harness tightening strap andthe seat had to be cut away to free the childs finger. Child was only shaken up but no injury to index finger.
The child seat shield popped off without warning.
