Cpsc:i1390170a. Graco argos 70. Consumer stated it is extremely difficult to unfasten the seat buckle, when getting her son out of the car seat . *ln

The crotch buckle was a little tricky when we purchased out graco argos car seat about six weeks ago.over the past couple of days, the buckle was even more difficult to unbuckle.this morning i was not able to unbuckle it at all.i had to loosen the harness straps completely to get my daughter out of the seat.we haven't used it since.

Graco nautilus buckle replacement cannot be accomplished with instructions provided.once the harness straps are removed, near impossible to re-insert.have gone so far as to removing the styrofoam patted headrest, but cannot, for the life of me, re-insert straps.backside slot for holding the harness is six inches higher than location on the front-side of seat.re-inserting harness strap requires maneuvering, forcing of strap through the enclosed metal back supporting plane.next to impossible.inasmuch as i'm not an engineer, after one hour of complete frustration stopped all efforts to replace the buckle.notified graco of this situation and recommended that subsequent replacement kits include two flexible straps, with a hook on one end.this will enable individuals undertaking this task to loop/hook the harness strap prior to its removal and subsequently re-use the hooked strap to re-insert the harness strap with less frustration.awaiting reply from graco as to their solution to this dilemma.to say the least, i'm quite upset with this problem.now required to purchase a new seat.

Child was placed in the car seat and driven home.the latch on the harness that is between the child's legs could not be released.the harness needed to be cut in order to remove the child.the model number is 1805717.it is called the argos 70.
