I called enveflo today (8/23/99) and was told that they were not fixing this problem unless the car seats are recalled which i can see only happening after a death or severe disability. By then it is too late!!!!!!! our children are very important to us and we need to be secure that the products we buy (especially car seats) will maintain their integrity and safety features for the life of the products intended use. I am one of the lucky ones - i have another car seat to use. But what if i didn't and couldn't afford another? thank you for your attention and i hope you will honor our faith in your establishment and see to a quick resolution to this extremely important problem involving such innocents - our nations children.

Double guard sport 671 using booster seat in rear side position with a lap/shoulder belt. Child weighs 35 lbs. Using booster with base only - shield not used. Lap/shoulder belt is positioned with both parts across the front of the child. Manufacturers instructions have been followed very carefully. When positioned the front of the booster is elevated relative to the rear of the booster. Lap/shoulder belt slides off the booster and up onto child's abdomen. Belt does not hold booster in place - booster slides about on the car seat. Also cover of booster slips about on the booster making it difficult for the child to stay in a reasonable seating position. Rear car seat is somewhat compressed from regular use of a high back booster. I purchased the gerry booster for occasional use when i need to accomodate 3 children in the rear of my car and could not fit a child between two full height child seats. I consider the booster to be unsafe to use as the seat belt does not stay in position on the child. I am trying to decide whether to dispose of the booster and purchase a replacement. Under evenflo 691 one click- information it says that there may be a defect & may find a crack in the shield at the attachments & to contact evenflo for replacement parts and or possible replacement of the seat.now the information on this web site was just updated as of 08/04/03 and information verified on 08/18/03.i called evenflo and they said they do not carry replacements parts any longer & to destroy my seat.i have a baby that needs a car seat to use and much to my surprise evenflo is unwilling to help me with my defective car seat.i know that my financial situation is none of their business, but i took out my stored car seat because i do not have the income to buy a new one. Now i am faced with evenflo telling me i am sol for a car seat & not their problem.this would not be a big issue if i had not been told by a current website that i can get parts or a new seat from evenflo & i feel that this website gets their information from the companies & that evenflo should make good on this.i am horrified that a company that is suppose to be making items with our childrens safety in mind in unwilling to help out in anyway.
