We have had our evenflo triumph car seat almost a year and over the last few months my child keeps getting a bruise on his lower spine. After some research i found out its a common problem with this car seat. We stopped using this seat and the bruise went away. I called evenflo and they offered to send me a different seat (much lower value) while they look at my seat. I didn't take the offer because the value difference was over $100. This problem can be found all over the internet just by searching evenflo triumph bruising. There are many local moms in my hometown that have also had this problem.

Cpsc#i1310303a. Evenflo triumph. The consumer stated while trying to place the child in the seat the crotch strap became completely detached from the seat. *lnupon inspection, the loop that normally attached to a metal plate under the seat was completely frayed through.after contacting evenflo via phone and e-mail, that required photos for examination, their engineer deemed it small animal damage. The consumer dismantled the seat to find the real caused and discovered a spiky plastic protrusion just in front of the crotch strap's path when used in the forward position. When the strap was placed where it would be during use, the protrusion lined up with the most severe area fraying.

Cpsc: the car seat requires a turning mechanism that is almost impossible to tighten by hand. It simplycannot be used safely in vehicles. *dt *dt

The crotch buckle is hard to lock with many tries and i no longer hear the click to one of them.it has happened several times but now i am a bit worried that if i latch it and god forbid, we are in an accident, we may not be able to get my daughter out of her car seat. Evenflo triumph - model #38211110 - made 3/10/2011 or 10/3/2011.

Evenflo triumph car seat:lining in middle of the seat is defective and has caused continuous and ongoing pain for my infant child.this has resulted in bruising, and scabbing of the back area.the lining has several layers of "padding" that essentially come together in one general spot.the lining does not lay appropriately and can't be adjusted to fix this issue.my daughter suffers from chronic back pain and a newbrand of seat will have to be purchased.please make this a priority as it has caused a trip to the dr for my daughter. And we will now be out even more money than the two defective triumphs purchased from evenflo. Also, the straps in the harness do not stay to the proper adjustment.they frequently loosen and tighten drastically.when placing child in seat and adjusting to the appropriate setting it seldom ever stays without movement. My daughter has frequently been able to pull both arms out of the 5 pt system without the ability or know how to adjust it herself.

Evenflo triumph car seat manufactured 2006.a spring in the car seat came loose.upon contacting the manufacturer about the failure, i received unsatisfactory customer service when asking about the safety of the other two carseats i had which are identical to the one that had a problem with the spring.they did offer me a new carseat to replace the one with the spring issue as long as i paid shipping.i appreciated this, but was more concerned about the safety of the carseat model in general due to the issue of the spring that came out.i asked if this had been an issue and they said no and that the other car seats "should" be safe.should indicates being unsure and there should be no question when asking about a child safety seat.

My child could lower the harness clip to waist and wiggle out arms so she is not protected by the seatbelt at the shoulders. The shoulder locks also do not lock into place at the proper position and falls down to the lowest. I contacted evenflo but haven't heard back.

The clips that hold the seat cover on this model are easily dislodged, allowing the cover, and the foam padding to separate completely from the base. The seat belts twist easily, and requires removal of the car seat, to readjust straps and so the seat is comfortable and safe for my daughter.she is 38 lbs at age 5 and will require a seat/ booster for sometime. Not sure if i will invest in evenflo again.

The plastic chest clip on my son's evenflo triumph convertible car seat has broken. One of the plastic latching pieces on the male end has detached from the clip. Not only does it render the entire car seat useless, it could pose a choking hazard for young children. While researching this problem on the internet, i have read about this same problem several times. It appears to be common with this car seat. According to evenflo, the chest clip is irreplaceable and the warranty expires after 90 days. Please hold this company accountable for manufacturing and selling a faulty, unsafe product.

I took my daughter's car seats out of our vehicles to clean them. I took the covers off of them, washed them in the washing machine and hung them on the clothesline to dry. Since i had the covers off, i thought it would be a good idea to clean the rest of the seat as well. While i was doing that i noticed a problem with each of her seats. The symphony is the biggest concern to me and is very disappointing. The seat belt is frayed. I don't mean just a little bit. It is very noticeable. I will not use this seat at all anymore. We have purchased a replacement seat. The triumph has an issue that i don't know if it is a safety issue or not. The top foam is supposed to have "tabs" holding it in place. Only 1 of the 3 tabs was doing its job. The other 2 had pulled through and the last one that is holding on is on its way to pulling through. Since we have a safety issue with the other seat, we have decided not to use this seat either. We have replaced it as well. I am really, really disappointed and concerned. I like your product. That is why i bought your brand for both of her car seats. However, i will be very skeptical of all of your product from now on. I still have both seats at this time. The triumphs model # is 38211110.

Evenflotriumph2015-01-26seatbelt latch1. My child was able to get out of his car seat because the seat belt hatch on the right is sticking and does not snap without excessive force.2. This has happened for at least the past week.3. My husband or i will attempt to spray air or water to determine if it has any debris or residue. But this should not be the case.

The contact stated that the harness straps that were secured in between the child's legs shredded abnormally. The manufacturer was contacted and advised that the child seat was out of warranty and offered no further assistance.updated 04/07/11*ljthe consumer stated the center seat belt strap and buckle became completely detached from the child seat. The consumer noticed the strap was underneath her sons leg. As she moved it out from under his leg, she felt the seat belt give as the final threads came loose. After inspecting the car seat and belt, it appeared that the seat belt had been fraying over time, possibly due to friction caused by rubbing against the metal area the belt comes up into the seat.the consumer contacted evenflo and they informed the consumer to submit pictures. Evenflo stated the damage was not due to a manufacturing variation. Evenflo noted there was a presence of food and believed the damage was caused by a small animal.updated 08/29/11.

Child restraint was used in the normal fashion inside a vehicle.it has never been checked on an airplane.the right harness strap is fraying on the outer edge by the shoulder.it has frayed about 1/8th of an inch into the strap and there is several inches in length of the frayed area.nothing has been done to attempt to repair the harness.

We have an evenflo triumph car seat and recently noticed there is a poorly made piece behind the shoulders.it is the piece you have to pull out in order to adjust the straps, however, it does not stay connected once you've put the seat back together.it pops out with a slight tug so we're concerned what it would do in the event of an accident.the new models do not have this piece as of this year.it is cheaply constructed and we believe it would definitely pop out and jolt a child forward even if a child is buckled tightly if there was an accident, causing injury.icontacted evenflo to explain the situation and they sent a new piece, but it has the same problem.they would not allow us to replace it with the new model, however, the store where we bought it believes it warrants replacing and they are doing it at their expense since it is past the return date policy.
