When picking up my sons carseat by the handle, i noticed that the handle was coming apart.

When car seat was taken out of the box, we noticed one buckle tongue was missing. Also, the harness straps, at the ends were not sewn.

I have the evenflo embrace infant carseat.when placing the carseat into the base, the straps get in the way making it hard and sometimes impossible to snap it into the base.several times i have thought that it was snapped all the way in and it was not.in addition, this same problem with the straps cause the straps to get caught and pulled by the base.on four occasions, this problem has caused the shoulder harness to rise up and choke my child.

We have an evenflo stroller/car seat set. The car seat fell off the stroller when my 8 months old daughter was in the carseat(with harness). The carseat was upside down on the ground(concrete). We had to take our daughter to er to make sure she was okay. Later i found out that the latch on the car-seat was broken and it couldn't be locked while being put in the stroller(or car-seat base in the car).

The contact owns an evenflo car seat, model type: embrace 35, model number: 55421894, and manufactured date: july 21, 2020. I received an evenfloembrace car seat model #model 5501527 12/21/04 as a baby shower gift in 2005.i used it until my son outgrew it.i noticed the handle coming apart and noticed the unsturdy latch.i did not make a big deal about it and stop using the car seat because my son outgrew it anyway.my wife is now pregnant.i noticed the latch recall.received the parts thinking it would address the z handle that was coming a loose through the screws holding it together.when i put the new latch on i realized that this did not fix my handle issue one bit.i called evenflo to see about replacement parts etc.customer serviced informed me that there is no replacement parts for the handle, and my only option was to purchase another car seat at full price.i believe this is wrong.i just purchased new upholstery for the car seat as well as another car seat base.i also have the stroller to match.if the product is that poorly put together than i do not want to buy another one, especially at full price.i feel that the faulty latch cause the undo wear on the handle causing the z cushion cover to come a loose at the screws.customer service gave me no options and showed no sympathy i can't even get it fixed.they told me to just not use the handle.am i wrong in believing bad latch made the whole handle faulty.if you tell me that i am wrong i can drop it.this has really upset me.my wife has a baby on the way, and i need this issue resolved.

A clip on the right hand side of the carseat used to hold the fabric panel in place detached from the fabric by my toddler and he chocked on it.

We have an evenflo infant carrier model number 4851952a. It was manufactured on august 5, 2009. The seatbelt loops on the top sides catch my infant's fingers and leave sores. He frequently gets his fingers stuck while i am driving, and can not get them out. We have had to put fabric inside of them so he can't get his hands inside. This occurs very often; practically every time that i put him in the carseat. Like i stated before, they leave red sores on his thumbs, and make him very upset and he cries and panics while we are driving. Often when we are done driving and go to get him out of the carseat, his hands and particularly his thumbs are caught within the seatbelt loops on the top sides of the infant carrier. They have left sores on his thumbs and make him very upset.

Evenflo infant carseat model # 5371821amanufacturer date 01/21/08 ks. The carseat has tipped over with baby in it several times while driving. The base rocks during driving on curves. It seems unsafe to me. It started when my grandchild was about 4 mths. Old and about 11 lbs. I just want people to be aware of this potential danger.

The base of this carseat model is so difficult to buckle into vehicles, not just mine, but also several other vehicles.it took a big guy to actually get it into my car without much movement in any direction, but when i had a car accident, i was unable to buckle it securely into any of my friends vehicles, or in the rental car and had to go buy a new carseat.the "incident date" reflects the timing from when i got the carseat until present and the problems i've had with it until dec 10, 08.

The level indicator on the car seat base does not work properly. It shows that it is level no matter what position it is in, which lead to the car seat being installed at an improper angle. I only discovered this when i found my daughter with her head totally slumped forward. This was very dangerous, as she could have strangulated on the straps or suffered a neck or head injury. I now have to use the car seat without the base; it has a line on the side which can be used to make sure that it is installed at the proper angle.

The contact owns a 2007 evenflo embrace, model 3971764 l1.the seat was manufactured on december 27, 2007.the button that is pressed to adjust the tightness of the infant seat, located in the back of the seat, failed to work properly.the contact feels that this is a safety issue because the child seat could not adjust and a sudden stop could cause it to shift and possibly disconnect.the purchase date was unknown.

My daughters evenflo car seat handle released while i was carrying her.i put her in it in the house, heard the click for the handle, walked her down the stairs to the car, put her in. Once we got to the restaurant, i got her out and walked across the parking lot, into the restaurant, waited to be seated.all this time i looked down at my daughter making sure she was okay and she was.once the waitress went to take us to our seat about 10 ft away, i was standing there and went to grab what i thought was the bottom of the carseat and it wasn't there.i looked down and my daughter was facing towards the floor.the handle had released with no help of me.

The clasp that you have to use to loosen and tighten the harness doesn't work right, it has lost its spring to it that keeps it from moving with out squeezing it to make it open enough to loosen or tighten harness and that results in the harness getting to big for the child to stay safe.

Evenflo embrace 35 model 3151198the carseat and the base is not locking together to keep my child secure. I have cleaned the base and the bottom of the carseat and it still will not stay latched together and when attempting to put carseat in the car the carseat won't stay latched together at all.

I left my evenflo embrace car seat base in ex-husbands car and his car got impounded and he didn't grab the base.i tried to get it back but the impound said it was no where to be found. I can't afford another base. Now how am i going to get my daughter to her doctor appointments. I not think they should sell car seat unless it can be strapped in to a car with out the base it is very inconvenient.

I just assisted a family in installing an infant child safety seat.the father had installed the seat already and used the recline indicator installed on the carrier base to make sure he was at the proper angle.the seat was found in an almost 90 degree position.in reinstalling the base i found that the initiator lever did not move freely and change with the angle of the base.you could move the lever to show the green bar in any position and it stayed put.the parents were advised of this problem and suggested they contact the manufacturer.

The main complaint is the buttons for the handle release on the evenflo carrier, the handle to carry the car seat will frequently unlatch & since i'm carrying my baby in it i always check to make sure the latches latch before and place carrier on the ground so no weight is a factor,i pick up the carrier but then as i carry her for instance in a store/my house etc it will actually without me clicking the release button it would click on its own & release while the carrier part is still in my arms (on numerous occasions when it does this, the handle will go flimsy out of no where without warning & i feel putting my baby in danger! i purchased this car seat brand new for my new born daughter on july 16, 2014 so for the sake of the safety of my child & the stress/worry & money i had put into this product i would like either a replacement or my money back please if possible
