I bought a carseat evenflow i use it everyday after a couple of weeks the seat belts got stuck or wont even go on half the time every time i try to get my son out the car he's stuck the seat belt doesn't come off it was snowing i hit a tree and i couldn't get my son out on time i had to break the belt to get him out it was very scary.

The contact owns an evenflo child restraint seat, model number 381-110-13, manufactured on september 15, 2010. The child restraint was being utilized in a 2005 toyota camry. The contact stated that the child was secured forward facing in the child restraint. The contact heard the child gasping for air and noticed that the child was being choked by the harness straps. The child had moved forward in the seat and caused the harness strap to become lodged around their neck. The contact was able to maneuver to off the roadway and free the child from the child restraint.the manufacturer was not notified of the failure.
The contact owns an evenflo tribute child restraint, model number convc8 3812198l1, manufactured april 29, 2009.the contact stated that the child was able to unlatch and remove her shoulders from the top clip that held the harness straps together. The contact was concerned that the failure was a safety hazard. The contact called the manufacturer who offered no assistance. The child restraint was not replaced. The child restraint was secured in a 1991 honda civic.
