The latch system for the car seat broke from the car seat when i pulled the car seat back to detach it from the car.(related vehicle information: model year=2005, make=chevrolet, model=trailblazer).

I am a public health nurse/certified child pass. Safety tech and coordinate a car seat distribution program through our agency.we recently received a shipment of evenflo tribute convertible seats:model # 3792098, date of manufacturer19 may 06.my concern is regarding the label on the left side of the car seat which includes an arrow with the statement on it, "arrow must be level with ground when rear-facing."it appears as if the labels on several of the seats are misaligned. In fact, one of the labels was so badly positioned, part of it was not in contact with the car seat; hanging off the bottom edge. When parents installed the seats rear-facing, at the 45 degree angle, the arrow was not level with the ground.in order to make the arrow level with the ground the baby would have been seated too upright.i feel this needs to be corrected as it is misleading to the parents who may rely on the arrow for proper recline position.

Child placed in car seat.when the child was removed had bruising on back from the seat digging in to his skin.we readjusted the straps and once again the brushing continues.we had to stuff blanket and diapers behind his back to prevent this from happening.there is a hole behind lower back on the child needs to be fixed with a flap of some type.

The complaint involves a convertible child safety seat manufactured by evenflo called the tribute v, model 3792098, dom 10/23/2007 and dom 10/24/2007. While instructing a parent on the installation of this seat i noticed one of the labels contains conflicting information regarding the maximum rear facing weight limit for the seat.one portion of the label states "5-30 pounds" while another part of the same label indicates the child safety seat should be used rear facing only for infants up to 20 pounds. The sticker was numbered 25800547 and was dated 11/06.

Child placed in car seat. Harness adjusted to proper tightness on child. As i was driving, i saw my child standing in his car seat. The harness loosened and he was able to wiggle out of his seat. This has happened numerous times. Changed car seats.

When my infant son turned 8 months, it was time to move him out of his infant carseat and into a convertible, rear-facing carseat.due to a limited budget, i purchased your evenflo tribute 5 carseat for 59.99 at toysrus.i had purchased a similar style (cosco, touriva) years before and was very satisfied with it. It installed easily enough, but when it was time to secure my child, the straps would not tighten.since the car was rearfacing, i was able to help with the tightening by pulling on the straps from behind.that helped a little, but not much.now that he is a year, we turned the seat around and we still face the same problems.unfortunately, i can no longer reach from the back of the carseat to further tighten it since it is no forward facing. I phoned evenflo's 1-800 number (monday, january 14) and expressed my frustration with one of a customer service representatives. She said one had to make short pulls in order to tighten it (no where in the manual does it mention "short pulls")....nevertheless, i tried this and nothing!!the customer service rep told me the seat was not defective and that i was out of luck.i told her that the seat was defective since my child was not secure in the carseat.she suggested taking it back to the place of purchase.well, i am about one month past the 90-day warranty, but luckily toysrus was helpful.they took back the carseats (we had purchased 2) even though they were passed the 90-day warranty, without a receipt (i had a copy of my bank statement) and without the boxes.they were concerned for the safety of my child, unlike evenflo.not caring about the safety of their customer greatly concerns me.the fact that i was told there was nothing evenflo would do to help me out was unbelievable.i wouldnever recommend your products to any of my friends and family members.

Harness strap adjuster on bottom front of car seat is defective.cannot lift lever to loosen harness straps.

The contact owns an evenflo child restraintmodel number 3791582 l1 tribute, manufactured december 21, 2006. He stated the five-point harness was extremely loose and would not properly secure the child into the child seat. He was concerned if in the event of a crash, the child could possibly be ejected from the seat. There were no recalls and the manufacturer had not yet been contacted.

Evenflo tribute 5 child safety seat.the harness release lever is loose and allows the harness straps to move freely.it won't allow them to lock in place.
