Car seat brought to the hospital by parent for infant fit test.car seat borrowed by parent from a friend.when nurse was inspecting the car seat for manufacture date, model number, etc., pieces on bottom of car seat were found broken/loose.2. On the bottom of the car seat itself, not the base, there are several plastic prongs which secure the metal clips attached to the belts.one plastic prong is missing entirely and others are cracked/loose.3. Mother informed of the issue.nurse checked on dot website for car seat recall.complaint filed.

The contact was removing the infant from the child safety seat when the strap securing his chest area failed.the child fell from the child seat and onto the ground.
