Evenflo model # 207163p1, dom 07-dec-1998; plastic piece inside of canapy is exposed & child is able to pull canapy backwards/forwards. This causes canapy to be detached & child places it in mouth.

The shoulder harness is not correctly pulled tight against the harness slot on the back of the child seat.it catches on a thick, sewn-in loop of webbing, which could allow as much as two inches of slack when subjected to crash forces.

The canopy on the child safety seat came unraffled and and wrapped around the child's neck. Manufacturer has not see vehicle.

Evenflo on my way model # 4951, dom 01-05-2000;infant 4 months oldarm was broken in a car accident.css was installed correctly.vehicle was struck on driver's side & the infant's upperarm was broken.

Ater 5 1/2 months the car seat broke, a small piece of plastic fell out of the back where the seat tighten the 5 point harness strap, within day the whole clamp that holds the harness strap snapped off, exposing a sharp screw, the harness on the seat can not be tighted, evenflo told me to borrow a seat or use a friends seat until they mail me the part

My 7 month old infant pulled the infant carseat cover away while strapped in the seat and traveling.he then was able to pull at the polyester backing and put it in his mouth resulting in choking.fortunately an older child was seated near him and removed the peices from his mouth.

The child safety seat contains a knob for adjusting the seat and the gauge on the side to let you know when the seat is at a proper angle, the gauge was dramatically off and registered wrong which could have resulted in injury to child. *mjs

My wife was involved in a head on collision.she and my two children were choppered to a trauma unit.my 10 week old son was in the evenflo on my way system and the base broke apart upon impact.the system held him in place, but my concern is with the base breaking apart. Seat and base were perfectly installed in car it had been done with deborah baer cps instructor #0017.we noted that often locking the seat (the carrier) into the base, we were able to put our hand under the carrier behind the baby's head and lift the carrier out of the base without unlocking the seat with the red release handle.we took the system back to mrs. Baer and she also could lift the back of the seat out of the base with very little force.

Dt: evenflo onmy way model 48431025p2, dom 02/18/2000. The contact stated that car seat failed this weekend.the seat would not unlatch from the base. The contactwas trying to remove the seat into a different vehicle, and the latch would not disengage from its base.thecontactcontacted evenflo, and they said that they would take her safety concern into consideration, and not to use the car seat again. They did not offer any free remedy or replacement seat.

But the problem is identical to the same model that is listed as recall. The child safety seat is not fastening properly, the consumer would pull the buckle out and wouldn't have to press the red release because it just popped out.

Retainer clip is easily moved by four month old child resulting in the infant being able to stick her arms between the straps.

The clip on one side of the car seat broke. The clip is what the seat belt weaved into at the back of the car seat. The actual part that loosened and tightened the set belt broke away from the back of the car seat. The manufacturer replaced the car seat.

Evenflo model#200, dommar 24-00:four month child is able to move retainer clip and slide out of harness strap. Manufacturer notified, and informed consumer to take the retainer clip off, and put it back on up side down. Please feel free to provide any further details.

Ths babies has pulled the padding out of each seat.the manufacturer has not been contacted.

Hazard:i purchased an evenflo "on my way travel" system in june of 2001. The infant carrier was used for under 1 year. The harness latch box on the left, back of the infant carrier has completely detached "broken".causing great concern about the safety of the product.i contacted the manufacture evenflo; and they said the carrier was "fine" and that they do not guarantee the product after the 1-year warrantee.they said i can purchase a new harness for 16.99 but i reiterated that the harness is not the problem the latch box on the back is.

There is a padded bar that comes over the baby's head. Consumer the bar catches the child's arm between the bar and seat. It pinches the child's arm.the consumer contacted the manufacturer.

We own a evenfloon my way model # 8450pvnvinfant rear facing child seat model on the back of the car seat where you tighten the harness there is a major stress point, and it has broken twice. It has only broken when we have went to tighten the harness. If it was to brake during an accident the harness could come free ejecting the child from the seat.

The clip on one side of the car seat broke. The clip is what the seat belt weaved into at the back of the car seat. The actual part that loosened and tightened the set belt broke away from the back of the car seat. The manufacturer replaced the car seat.

While tightening the shoulder harness, the harness adjuster guide pulled off of the rear of the seat, consumer was informed to snap piece back in, after 5 months of tightening harness by pulling the loose end straight down towards the bottom of the seat, the plastic piece cracked and broke off, consumer states that since the harness is pulled directly away from the seat it causes stress to the harness guide, causing the failure, manufacture date 02-aug-2000, seat was purchased new.

The straps on car seat were not adjustable for smaller babies (evenflo on my way 207106p2, manufactured may 15, 1997).*mr *ph *nlm

My wife was involved in a head on collision.she and my two children were choppered to a trauma unit.my 10 week old son was in the evenflo on my way system and the base broke apart upon impact.the system held him in place, but my concern is with the base breaking apart. Model#4921b7p2 manufactured 14 jan98.
