My grandmother had purchased a eddie bauer brooke stroller and car seat set online for my baby shower end of september through beginning of august 2011. Purchase was around $300+ which i don't find cheap by any means. Long story short- my 5 month old daughter and i were in a head on collision where i've learned her car seat base was defected during the crash and had actually lifted out of the base and back down. Could have easily went through the windshield. She suffered a broken right femur and a fractured left femur leaving her in a almost full body cast for 4 weeks. I had hit a full sized truck head on leading up to the even the base and car seat detached. The car seat was thrown away sometime while i was in the hospital. I was in a medically induced coma for three days before stating to anyone at the hospital. One of the first responders from the fire department had gotten the baby out from the drivers side door from reaching around me. I have the stroller and the box the set came in but they threw the car seat away. My grandmother should be able to locate purchasing info through her past credit card use if needed.

The contact owns a 2003 eddie bauer 22-720 seat (touriva ohb).while driving 10 mph, another vehicle crashed head on into the contact's vehicle.the vehicle was towed and a police report was filed.the driver was wearing a seat belt, but sustained a bruised neck and bruising on her right side from the air bags and seat belt.the child seat was empty; however, the handle that goes over the child's head completely detached.there was nothing that struck the child seat and the contact does not know how it failed.the purchase date was unknown.

My baby was riding in the back middle seat in the eddie bauer car seat facing the rear and i was driving my toyota scion.when i lifted the cover shade up from the bottom to check on the baby the cover shade fell over the babys face. When i looked back i was scared because the cover was halfway over my babys face.

I have tried this seat in many different vehicles. I travel a lot with my child and have tried it in countless rental vehicles, relatives vehicles as well as my own and i have not been able to get it tight enough in any vehicle. I have tried it in the middle as well as side seats and i have tried it with the latch system. It moves more than the 1 inch rule, it actually slides from side to side no matter how tight the seat belt/latch system and anchor are.also, the black plastic pieces are loose and fall off. I bought mine in canada so my model number is actually 22880cmtt.

Eddie bauer car seat 03/18/10 gb1b ic-048 aah item 1852.

The bolts in the handle of my daughter's car seat keep loosening up. I'm afraid that the bolts are going to loosen up and i'm not going to see it and the handle is going to break causing my daughter to hit the ground or floor. I've had to tighten the bolts about 6 times now in the last 3 months. It is a dorel juvenile eddie bauer edition 3 in one car seat with base and stroller. Model number 22-655 byte manufactured 04/03/08 gb1b and it has a green square on that tag.

About 1 month after i purchased my car seat for my son the screw holding the handle on the left side became loose. I didn't think much of it until it continued to happen. At one point the screw became so loose the left side of the handle bar became completely un attached.im worried that as my son becomes heavier and screw will continue to be loose and could cause serious injury to my son.

I have attempted to install the eddie bauer eb adj booster car seat (model 22880-mtta) in 3 different cars and it simply will not tighten into place. It's as if the shape of the car seat is at a 90 degree angle and thus will not fit into the seat of the car. If the base sits flat on the seat of the car, the head sits straight up, leaning forward from the seat of the car about 6 inches. Tightening it with a belt does no good because it continues to wobble back and forth several inches from front to back or even from side to side. Even the latch system does not work because it only pulls the carseat backwards, leaving a gap of several inches between the base and seat of the car. This is an incredibly dangerous design.

We have attempted to properly install the seat in four different vehicles without any success.the seat never tightens to a secure point that the seat can be used.the bottom of the seat moves and shifts a severe amount no matter how much adjustment is attempted.tightening the straps is challenging and almost makes the slack and movement in the bottom of the seat worst.since we purchased this seat we have been unable to use it.unfortunately, we didn't keep the packaging so we couldn't return it.we've owned other eddie bauer seats that have worked appropriately yet i believe this model is inherently flawed in its design.

I have serious concerns about the safety of the eddie bauer prospect adjustable highback booster (#1447). The model number listed on the seat is 22880-mtta, manufactured 09/06/07. I tried installing this seat in 2 different vehicles- an '06 mazda 5 with the latch system, and two subaru outback wagons (one is late '90s, and the other a 2002 model) using the outboard seat belts (we are using the seat with the 5-point harness, not as a belt-positioning booster). I was not able to get the seat even close to tight in any of these vehicles. I have 2 kids, and have installed a number of car seats without any difficulty. I also looked online, and both target.com and amazon.com reviews cite difficulty with installing this seat. Also note that i had to mark a different model for the booster seat since this model was not listed.

The contact owns an eddie bauer by dorel juvenile group infant seat, model #22655, manufacturer in 2007. The manufacturer has not been notified. She still has possession of the safety seat.

The contact owns an eddie bauer child restraint system model number 22-627 cmp purchased in 2008. The carry handle was very loose. It felt as if it would come disconnected from the carrier shell. While i was carrying my 3 month old in his car seat the screw on side of handle just came loose.this is a good brand of car seat and should not have happened. The store will not let us return it because it has been more than 3 months. The screw is broken so how do they expect me to put a 3 month old in no car seat or what, hello safety first right! also when looking for info on car seat there was no sticker or anything on it to get info so i hope all is correct.all i knew was it is a eddie bauer adventurer travel system- kingston.
