Model #22740 eddie bauer child's car seat made 4/26/2007 by dorel juvenile group, columbus, in47201is almost impossible to unlatch when you want to take the child back out of the seat.it has taken 3 of us trying toset the child unbucked.have not found the place to get through, except on this site to tell about the problem. This was bought brand new with stroller and another part, at cost of about $350-$400 for granddaughter.we did not allow eating or drinks in the car.please replace the buckles and belts with new replacement kit as we want to be able to use this expensive car seat again very soon.if the stroller needs better buckles, please replace them too. While this is great site to report the problem.just have not been able to get through to the site that will accept my name and address so that the problem can really be corrected.it was always hard to open from the first day! then when driving 3 to 4 hours in the car with the child in the seat--it was the most difficult to almost impossible to open!used seat for 5 years from date of purchase.still have the original box.our daughter was hurt going to college, and since we believe in the right to life, this was needed for the new child. Model #22740-fmt was the car seatbought the model 01726mrc eddie bauer strollerwas in the same large box.

The car seat when rear facing is not secured by the seat belt itself and slips down until my sons is lying flat on his back.the model number is not in your system - so i selected on so i could submit the complaint.the model number on my car seat is 22-740. It is the eddie bauer deluxe convertible car seat (hampton edition).

The contact owns an eddie bauer deluxe convertible rearfacing infant seat, model number 22-880.the child seat was manufactured on march 8, 2006.the contact stated that the bottom strap of the child seat, which connected the seat to the vehicle, failed to tighten.as a result, the child seat remained loose and was not safely secured to the seat properly.the contact felt that this was a safety hazard and could cause severe injuries in the event of a crash. I own an eddie bauer car seat and on several occasions i have reach to take my 2 year old out of the car seat and she has already opened the chest restraint herself. Just wondering if there is an alternate for the harness buckle that goes across the chest that will help to keep my baby safe.

The contact owns a 2005 dorel juvenile group eddie bauer deluxe convertible (model number 22-755-afd) child seat.while driving, the contact noticed that the buckle on the child seat completely split open.as a result, her son was able to climb out of the child seat.prior to the failure, she previously heard a rattling noise coming from the buckle.the manufacturer has not been notified.updated 12-12-07.updated

I was buckling my child into the carseat and the part between his legs came out. It just broke off.we have only used this new carseat for two weeks. I am very upset.i am thankful that i found this before a crash could of occurred.make - eddie bauermodel 22-740-hpn.

Buckle was stuck locked with 5 day old infant in seat.it took two adults almost 15 minutes to get the buckle to release.my daughter is scared to use it again.

The contact owns a 2003 eddie bauer, model number 22820 kgsa (na).the seat was manufactured on january 3, 2008.as the contact was reinstalling the child seat back into her vehicle, the anchor of the child seat snapped in front of the straps that were already bolted.she has only had the child seat for three months and believes that if this were to snap while the child was in the seat or in a crash, then it could severely injure the occupant of the seat.the purchase date was unknown.
