My 21 month old baby who weighs only 24 pounds can unlock the to restrain on his eddie bauer car seat.the model # is 22-859-mac 1-6-2005hb3c.it's not safe when children can unlock themselves from their own car seat when my baby is not even two.how safe are these car seats when you can't depend on these locks?le me know what changes can be done to prevent injuries or deaths. These type of locks should be secured and should work with the lock that's on the bottom to safely secure these children.

The shoulder harness was not engaged in the metal holder (on the back side of the seat) when i went to remove my child from his car seat. There is no safety measures in place to prevent this from occurring, the straps do not have anything in place to stop them from coming out of the metal holder, they can slide right out. When i looked at the back of the car seat the shoulder harness strap was completely out of the metal holder. Had we been in an auto accident my child could have been easily ejected from his seat.
