Dt*:the contact stated the position clip on the child restraint fails to keep the harness straps secured.when the clips are tightened the child is able to loosen the straps.there is a recall for the same issue, nhtsa campaign # 05c003000 on the eddie bauer 22-625 glc gb1b.the manufacturer was informed of the situation and is sending replacement positioning clips.the child seat is an eddie bauer 22-625 glc og2b, manufactured by doral juvenile group on march 18, 2004.
Dt: the contact stated there was a problem with the reclining adjustment on the base of the child safety seat.when the reclining adjustment was fully retracted the carrier portion of the seat would not easily secure into the base. The child passenger safety seat inspector corrected this problem by extending the reclining adjustment one notch ,and applying one fun noodle to achieve a 45 degree angle.due to the slope of the vehicles seat the angle could not be met with the adjustment alone.there was not enough clearance between the carrier portion and the reclining adjustment.after the child passenger safety seat technician made these corrections the child seat was safely installed.
This is a complaint on cosco child car seat, which when the base is placed in the vehicle and the seat is snapped in to the base and your driving and turn the whole seat turns, swivels, and tips.

My little sister received aneddie bauer carseatfor her newborn daughter on september 13. Less than two months after she got the car seat the right bolt that controls the handle started to come loose and ever since ,even if we tighten it , it still comes loose. I am concerned for my nieces safety. Please help us out we don't have money to buy a new car seat. The model of the car seat could not be found in the choices given so here it is (22-655 byte gb1b) this car seat was bought online from jc-penny .com.
The handle does not automatically lock into place, once the buttons are released to position the handle.due to the handle not locking upon release of the buttons, my son flipped forward and landed face first on the ground as the seat propelled forward as the handle continued to move backward to ultimately lock in the comfort position.

This has not resulted in any failures with the seat at this time.however, the contact wasconcerned that this may not hold the child in the child seatin the event of an accident. Each time the cover was taking off the child seat loosened.

Dt: contact statesreceived a recall notice on a child safety restraint.consumer had already purchased another child seat due to the harness strapnot staying through the harness clip.the consumer has contacted the manufacturer, and they stated they would provide a free remedy kit for the recalled child seat, but not provide reimbursement for the purchase of the new child seat without proof of ownership of the child seat (the original receipt for the child seat.after 90 days, the contact did throw away the original receipt.the contact did offer to mail the recalled child seat to the manufacturer to obtain reimbursement for the new child seat that was purchased.
Dt:the car seat straps have come loose and come out of the seat twice. This seat was not included in the recall. Eddie bauer - 22-625glc.manufactured january 19, 2004 , by the line of og2c. This is not noticeable until the straps come out.
Dt:4 weeks ago a recall kit was ordered and she has not got the kit yet. . she has called djg to reorder the kit and the phone service will not let her order it. Currently,she cannot get through to them. The recall was on the straps that hold the child into the seat.
Dt: contact states that she found a recall on her child safety seat. She then contacted the manufacturer about this recall. They told her that they would send out replacement parts to repair the seat. That was two months ago.she contacted the manufacturer two weeks ago to let them know that she has not received the repair kit. She still has had no reply.
The straps to the eddie bauer child seat is coming out of the adjustment clamp. *mr the consumer was not be aware that this occurred.the child would become unfastened. *sc
