My newborn / 3 month oldcar seat gets stuck to the base and refuse to release even if when i am engaging the release latch. It has happened on several occasions before this incident. After hearing about the graco recall with the same issue, i waited to see if it would happen again, and sure it did. The thought of me losing my baby in an emergency due to the carseat getting stuck is scary, please investigate. Model type was not listed in your menu model ic-130 bve / comfy carry elite plus/ gx1(related vehicle information: model year=2008, make=honda, model=pilot)
The contact owns a 2008 dorel disney child restraint seat, model number 22-353-npo, manufactured on july 29, 2008. (n/a) the contact noticed that the child restraint carrier outer handle was defective with several bubbles on the surface, and the inner handle exhibited a long sharp groove. The child restraint seat was recently purchased and had not been installed in the vehicle. The contact was concerned that the carrying handle might not properly secure the restraint seat and occupant. The manufacturer was not notified.

During the second failure,the infant fell out of the seat face first onto the ground. .she had not contacted the manufacturer to-date. Updated 12/29/09 the consumer contacted the manufacturer and they sent her a new car seat.updated 12/30/09.
The contact owns a 2009 graco 22-355-lbf.the contact stated that when she picked her child seat up with the infant in it, the handle fell off. The child sustained injuries to the head and was taken to the doctor. Graco had not been contacted.

The child restraint was secured in the vehicle by both the latch system and the vehicle safety belt. The restraint is secured in a 2003 honda pilot. The contact stated the buckle did not latch correctly and would continue to twist while housed in the locking mechanism. The manufacturer was contacted and they advised taking the child restraint back to the store in which she purchased. There were no recalls on her particular model child seat.
