My 20 month old daughter can easily undo the chest clip with no assistance and has done so while the vehicle was in motion.
We own a cybex gold sirona s carseat. Cybex is a german company. We are happy with it except for one important problem. The baby can easily press the round button on the harness buckle and undo the harness buckle during vehicle operation. The baby is able to undo the harness by himself and this happens nearly every time the car seat is used. We are almost certain this cannot pass united states safety standards. This car seat is clearly unsafe for children and a simple alternative design could have easily remedied this problem. A sticker on the back of the carseat says that if the harness is not properly buckled, death or serious injury could occur. A picture of the baby undoing the harness, a picture of the upc sticker, and/or a copy of the receipt can be provided upon request. Thank you.*dt*dt

The contact called and emailed the car seat manufacturer in november of 2018 and was informed that there was no reason to contact nhtsa because they would handle the matter. The contact had not heard back from the manufacturer.
The baby was secured in the car seat, a cybex sirona. After a rest stop, i noticed when securing the baby that the car seat rotated freely without having to depress the release button. This is extremely dangerous as if in an accident, the car seat would freely rotate, putting a baby in extreme risk of injury.
