Cosco child safety seat recliner leg may be bent or stripped out.

Dt: contact states there is not enough room in child safety seat .

Dt*: the contact stated while traveling various speeds, the child safety seat's harness buckle was easily unbuckled by the contact's child.the contact notified the place where the safety seat was purchased, who suggested that the nhtsa be contacted.the child safety seat manufacturer was contacted who expressed that there were similar complaints about this issue, and offered to send a replacement harness buckle.the contact expressed concern that the child could easily unlatch the harness buckle, which may pose a safety risk in the event of a collision.

Safety 1st/cosco apex seat.this seat will have a high incidence of misuse due to the fact it must have a head rest behind the seat.how does this seat pass testing since testing is done on a bench seat without a head rest?this is a report on the apex-model #22-530-fsm.this is not an option in your drop downs.this seat needs to be recalled and refunds issued to parents so they can purchase a seat that is compatible.only after purchase and reading the manual (if a parent were to read the manual) would you know that it isn't compatible.

While placing my child in the child safety seat, the buckle and strap between the child's legs came out. I re-inserted the strap, used a different seat until i returned to mercy san juan hospital fitiing station. I was advised to check the strap for tightness each time or purchase a different seat.

Dt:cosco safety first model # 22-500-wal, dom 12-02-2002. The car seat locked the child into the vehicle, whensnapping the straps over the child it locked, had to cut the straps off, and its still locked in place. It was 100 degrees out. Had at least 3 men tryingto unlock it ,and it would not unlock. This happened monday july 18, 2005.

Consumer noticed the locking mechanism broke. Cosco model safety 1,number02-925 brd,mfg date september 15/2001. The clip broke. The latch that fastens to hold the child in the seat jams and becomes difficult to remove the child from the vehicle.*tc

Tl-the harness release lever keeps on releasing and allowing the shoulder strap to come loose after it is tighten going down the road and it would release and loosen and not holding the straps tight. She got it replace and they send her a new one and this one is still having the problems. 22-460 safety 1st intera

I had to cut my daughter out of her car seat.the button to release the harness would not work. So i cut her out of the harness.

When child is sitting in the car seat you are unable to tighten the harness. It remains very loose.

The contact stated that the seat would not latch onto the dock causing the safety seat to become detached without warning. The failure recurred on various occasions. The child was in the safety seat at the time of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vin was not available. The purchase date was unknown.

-the contact explained that she purchased acosco safety first snugridewalker model# 04022a .the walkerhas two legs in front, and two legs in the back. The locks on the front legs were not secure, allowing it to collapse.each time they tried to open the latch it will not stay secure.not a safety seat.

Consumer complained about thechild safety seat,took it to the child passenger safety inspection where it was discovered that harness did not tighten enough to secure the child.after contactingthe manufacturerconsumer was told there were no complaints on the seat since it was so new.

When attempting to strap child in safety seat the strap that goes between the child's legs literally fell apart. Consumer attempted several times to fix strap, but could not. The strap won't stay hooked.

Cosco model # 22300jos,dom 01/09/2004. While taking the child out of the child seat noticed that the harness straps were very slack/loose. The harness adjuster failed to keep harness straps tight and snug against the child. So far this happened each time the child was placed in the child seat.

The child seat (model # 22-325-tst) harness straps slip back and forth without warning. As a result the child is not restrained properly. The cause has yet to be determined. Please provide additional information.
