While trying to place child in car seat and without warningarmrest broke off.

The contact owns a cosco scenera, model 221233 (na).while slowly turning the vehicle to the right, the child seat tipped over to the side.the child was unharmed.the failure has occurred twice.the contact stated that when she latches it with the seat belt, the child seat still tips over to the side.the speed at the time of the failure was unknown.

Cosco model # 02-803lex, dom 02/04/1999; consumer locked child inseat and noticed behind her, after pulling off,overhead shield was raised. Consumer had to pull over to lock it. When insertinglock,lock popped out.consumer was trying to callmanufacturer .

Cosco olympian model # 02803tri, dom 07-21-1999; when attempting to takeinfant out ofcar seatlatch that connects from shield to the car seat broke. The plastic shield that connects the child seat to the vehicle's seat broke.

Child seat right side handle spring popped out, and plastic broke, without any force. This was the second seat that broke in the same place,and same make/model.

Unable to latch the seat belt. Manufacturer was not notified.vehicle seat is not able to close so, consumer purcased another seat. Retractable harness strap stops four inch short of lock so buckle can not be inserted in lock.

Was trying to release child from child seat andlatch plate failed to release from buckle mechanism. Had to pull and tug real hard to try to get it to release. Finally just pulled child through harness straps.

The child was placed in the car seat and the harness straps did not retract, causing the child to be stuck in the seat. Manufacturer has not been contacted.

Coscomodel 02803rrimfr date 03/10/2000; while placing child in the child seat seat when pullingshield down to lock, right side of armto shield spring popped out, causing child to drop down unable to lock the seat.

The child safety seat shield handle cracked on both sides, without excessive force being used. Model # 02-803pri.

Spring that isin the part of the seat that holds the shield, has worn out, there is a hole in the seat. Owner has taken out the springs.
